@ They are metal. The washers are about 1mm thick. But this will depend on your unit. You may have to stack one or two to get the required off set needed
Thanks for the video. I needed to replace my Kickr 1 belt and in the process I managed to over tighten the bolt that holds the spanner (the one that you are loosing at 5.37) and now it's broken. I actually managed to get out the broken part so now just need to get a new bolt. Any help where can I buy such a bolt in EU and actually how to ask for it?
Hi, Not sure where you would get it in the EU. But it’s a normal bolt hex head. I think it’s an M5 but could be wrong about the size. I’m sure you can order it online if need be.
mine is doing a noise and vibration when in high speed . i cann hear that is coming from the big metal wheel on the drive part but cant find that is rubbing anywhere. do you know if i can take that part out? cheers
It’s probably the bearings. If you take the rubber belt off and rotate the flywheel by hand. Is it smooth or does it wobble and when rotating it, it may feel rough. Yes you can replace all bearings and moving parts
Hi. In my case is not on the fly wheel for sure. Is somewhere on the big metal disk. I opened and add grease on the hub but still can hear the problem. Mine is 6 months old. Do you think the bearings could be already the problem?
Before you change to many things. Is it still not under warranty? I would take it back and let them have a look. On the one I was fixing the plastic cover was tubing. If you use it without the cover is the noise still there?
@@BrianMaynardLetsDoThisThing yes. i guess if the only possible explanations are the bearings, then i might just leave to see if it will get worse. to change it will be easy. thanks
There’s a version one of these trainers for sale on the used market near me. Has a broken belt so the price is really good. I can only seem to find the belt as a replacement part even on wahoos site. In your experience are the other parts hard to find for these units? Do they just use off the shelf metric bearings and that’s why they don’t seem to sell replacements on line? Just asking before I spend $125 on something I can’t end up fixing.
My kickr has noise and the watt cannot show on Zwift. I tried to have spin down. But it failed. May you know what the issue is and how to fix it? Thank you so much
Hi, Does it power on? If you move the counter weight wheel around by hand is the noise also there? If the noise is still there. You will have to remove the chain and the try again as above. If the noise is still there you will have to start to dissemble it. It could be a bearing that has gone. The only issue that worries me is that you are not getting the power readout. If you ride on Zwift. does it change power as instructed by Zwift or does this not work anymore either?
Thanks this was a great help and managed to sort out the problem with my Kickr, diolch!
OMG, thanks ur video. That's issue of my trainer now. Thanks. I will try
Great video thx!!!!!

@@BrianMaynardLetsDoThisThingwhat size washers did you use? Were they rubber or metal?

@ thanks. I ended up using M3 flat washers.
Thank you!

If you say its the Big disk. That's where the cassette is attached. You will have to remove the cassette first to check the bearings

The bearings are standard bearings that you can get at a bearing specialist
