@@MWPHS well I can tell you, after 10 month usage, It is a very good product. The Resideo HCC100 is a fantastic addition to any modern home, bringing together an impressive range of functions that used to require multiple devices. Its multi-zone control is incredibly convenient, allowing for tailored temperature settings across different areas of the house. The compatibility with various thermostats is a big plus, and it seamlessly integrates with modern heat pumps. This is a comprehensive solution that simplifies temperature management while enhancing comfort.
Ah. I just installed a load of the older evohome stats!! Still good to know Honeywell still care about this stuff and hopefully we get some updates on the app (e.g. Showing which zone is currently capping for heat)
Please Richard! Don’t just review it ! Please respond to your viewers and do a ‘how to work it’ video. Pls explain how to use eco mode , what temperature to set it at, how to specifically set it and un-set it, how to manage the temperature , and how to generally make it work. The instructions online and in the box itself are APPALLING and assume so much prior knowledge. Most of us just want a very simple ‘how to’ and then we want to get on with our lives - in the warmth ! We’d love to know how to use it as a non expert rather than watching your review as someone who knows, understands, and dare I say it , has an enthusiasm for these things ! Many thanks
I’m sure I can do something in the very near future. Unfortunately I have a few projects to get done within our business currently. Once completed I will certainly look at doing this.
Looks new and modern. Hopefully they might finally upgrade their app and bring that into the 21st century too. But this a start in terms of modernising it.
Please can you make a short video showing lay person how to operate the thermostat once it is installed. Eg. What are set temp adjust buttons for / what is eco mode in reality etc ? Plus/ Minus / Flame etc are clear but what about all the other functions? Thank you 🤔😊
Please please please can you show us how to use it. I have had it a week and I’m still using an electric blow heater because it comes with awful instructions and I haven’t the foggiest how to program it to turn in and off at certain times. I’ve scoured the internet every day when I get a moment but nowhere explains anything. About to spend a fortune to get rid of it. Not worth the headache. Poor design and support from Honeywell. Hi, can this be bound as a single zone thermostat for the Honeywell HCC80R as part of an Evohome installation? Is there a video or manual description somewhere that explains how to install it to an existing HCC80R (I will add it as a zone 3)..?
Yes it can be bound as a zone thermostat for any type of zone you create with evohome. I have created a video but not had time to edit and publish it to UA-cam yet. If you need support, contact Resideo technical support on 0300 130 1299.
Just had DT4R installed. When you press the centre button is the temperature shown the current room temperature. If so how do you set the required temperature?
Installed the DTR4 but setting required temp did not work. I press the + or - buttons and it fails to go up or down. The - button takes it straight to 5!! I simply want to you use the DTR4 like my old manual Honeywell thermostat where zi turn the knob left or right to switch o or off the boiler but it failed, so frustrating so reinstalled the old one again
I walk past my stat often and personally I like to see what the house temp is, and if the boiler is "calling" or not. I DON'T like this stat as it's constantly blank unless u keep waking it up! Prefer a constant display.
I quite like minimalistic view, but everyone has induvial tastes. Only feedback I suggested to Resideo is maybe to have a sensor that when you walk past it turns on the display. In any case, thanks for your comment! :)
Hi, I'm looking to replace my two thermostats, one wired and one wireless. I came accroos the DT3 but can't find the difference between the DT3 and the DT4, do you know? And also, DT4 and DT4R? I believe it's the difference between wireless and wired but no clue for DT3 and DT4. Thanks
DT3 is a retail product made for Amazon/Screwfix and DT4 is made for us as a trade seller. Comes down to if you want to support small businesses or support corporate organisations. DT4 comes in a few variants, wired (DT4), wireless (DT4R) and modulation (DT4M). Just to confuse it further, the wireless DT4R comes in stat only (DTS42) or with a wireless relay box (YT42). We then do our own version with a BDR91 wireless relay box (thesmartthermostatshop.co.uk/product-category/honeywell-home-evohome/wireless-thermostats/). The DT4M and DT4R (thermostat only) are only really used with the HCC100 UFH Controller (ua-cam.com/video/HJXN37g7syE/v-deo.html) or evohome (ua-cam.com/video/rW43wlFvWPY/v-deo.html).
Had the DT4 installed a few days ago. When the room reaches the set temp it switches off the boiler as you would expect BUT the boiler comes on about every 15 mins and runs for about 20 seconds and then stops. This is obviously not long enough to bring the room temp back up to its setting if it has dropped slightly. Is this normal?
The DT4 is a TPI thermostat so yes this behaviour is normal when approaching and at room temperature, however the TPI algorithm needs to be setup correctly for the boiler you have, which is done in the installation menu of the thermostat (cycle rate, minimum on time and minimum off time). You can contact Resideo for more help and information on 0300 130 1299.
The DT4R is a wireless thermostat, so I am assuming you have the DT4? If it is a DT4, they are voltage free relay, not a live and a neutral. More information on the DT4 here... ua-cam.com/video/SgQ3I7iBZ4s/v-deo.html
Hi. Great to know that this product has launched and will pair with the BDR91 receiver. I have 2 different rooms of underfloor heating on the same zone but with separate DT92E thermostats/BDR91's controlling the manifolds so i can have different temperatures in the 2 rooms but not different timings. Im thinking of installing witeless T4R unuts in each room to give mire control over timings/temoeratures during the day etc. Would the T4R pair eith my existing BDR91 receiver like this new DT4 product please or do i need 2x new receivers? And if i do need new receivers will the wiring be the dame as for my existing BDR91? Any help will be much appreciated. Al the best. Mark
Hiw does the battery life of this new DT4 conpare with the old DT92E please? Will it be c2 years as the display will not he on permanently? Many thanks
Hi there, I hope you can help me. My DT4 is blinking with error code “F 22”. I can’t find anything on the web about it. Do you know what it means? Cheers
This thermostat is a non-programmable thermostat when it is stand alone. If you use it with evohome, the timings are all programmed through the evotouch controller.
I'm after a dual channel, heating and hot water programmer with wireless room stat that supports multiple schedules. For example if i work shifts i need a schedule for days in and days off. Any recommendations?
@@MWPHS that has two stats, I only need a single stat but I want the ability to set a schedule for "days on shift" and a schedule for "days off shift". I should then be able to select which of the two schedules to run by either selecting them from the stat or phone app. Can the Drayton do that?
@@Chris-hy6jy OK, so maybe Wiser Kit 2 or T6R. Check out our thesmartthermostatshop.co.uk website! 👍🏻 Not sure any thermostat can run different shift patterns tbh, but it possible to do with 3rd party integrations like Home Assistant. 🤓

There was nothing wrong with the DT92E apart from the fact it looked like it belonged in the 90’s. Reality is that the DT92E has been discontinued and DT4R range has replaced it.
Your description of how to use this thermostat assumes knowledge of previous thermostats. I have never had one. So it would be helpful to know how to use the menu to set a timer for example, tell me what 'eco mode' actually does, and what the various acronyms stand for and how to utilise them. Please don't assume that your viewers are all technicians who have a specific understanding of this range of thermostats past and present. A simple 'how to' use, including switching it off etc, would be helpful. Also you would aid your viewers if you adjusted the lighting and sat closer to the camera as the thermostat screen is hard to see as is. Thanks
Can’t see what you’re doing. Instructions that came with it were awful, QR code went to a useless andvert and I now want a simple old fashioned thermostat.

Nobody knows! I just bought one and the instructions are appalling! e.g. What does Eco mode actually do? Its not explained anywhere!
Just tell me how to use it please 🙏
I would also love to.know how to use it. At the moment I can only turn it on, set temp and turn it off. Does it even have a timer?
@ no timer, it is just a digital thermostat.
