We're 10 months into our new home life and stuff still comes up. But God is still good. He always makes a way. And I'm forever grateful that he granted us the desires of our hearts, as well. Keep pushing. And gone head and drop those movie lines! I'm a one liner connoisseur! 👌🏾

Along with getting rid of the bees, I would get rid of the spiders. Brown recluse spiders are the ones you have to be extra careful about. Getting rid of any dead insects out of your house would help keep from attracting spiders. They usually come in in the Fall to avoid the cold temperatures outside. Have a good week.

That door that’s in the basement where the furnace is there is space under that door, you need to put weather stripping around that door, not only will it keep out the cold but keep the bugs from entering your home. You have a beautiful home blessings to you all🙏🏽

did you have a really good inspection on your chimney since that home has been vacant for so long? I would definitely make sure that inside your chimney is very well cleaned out because you could very easily have a fire that way, and just to make sure that you know everything is still good working order and that there’s no problem structurally …. that could be a disaster… Worse than any bug you ever have in your house

I can do relate to all your house issues outside! Hang in there. A good spray will do alot of good. Get rid of those Timbers out front. They are probably a feasting log for insects and mice. Garden snakes will help your mice. Just get your house buttoned up. Spray your lawn too. It will help.

You can get rid of some of the insects by using a vacuum cleaner that uses bags and has a hose attachment. You suck up the insects into the vacuum bag using the hose attachment and then put the vacuum bag inside of a plastic bag and carry it outside to your garbage barrel. Calling pest control may be needed. I hope this helps.

Those are the normal animals that you would find in the country. Get a couple of cats for the field mice and a dog to protect the girls from any snake. You can train the dog to look for snakes. Be blessed

We have bought and sold around 8 houses here in the Ohio area. Just so you know Ohio is a Buy Beware state. So really but at your own risk. some inspectors are really good, some are just in it for the money. we have experienced both. But it is good that you are still looking at the bright side and still seeing all the possibilities.

I wonder what kind of inspection was done that these things weren't picked up on as far a the siding, foundation, roof, and windows?
They did an inspection and the foundation and roof is all good. The siding was noted as “weathered” and no mention on the windows. The windows are just old and no longer sealed make it easy entry for bugs. We knew the house would need some work but not this much. Mainly stuff that we found out once we started living here

one reason you have woodpeckers, os because toy have carpenter bees…carpenter bees will destroy your deck…and the woodpeckers like to get into the carpenter bee nest to eat the eggs the bees lay..

You are truly blessed... I live in Columbus, ohio, and I had to live in an apartment for 5 years with rats, and the landlord did nothing about it cause he knew I could not afford to move anywhere else... I was so afraid that I slept in my car...
When I was finally able to move, I had to throw everything that I owned in the trash cause the rats ate it up...

Not where we lived. Plus we’ve had 2 brand new houses that were completely sealed up so the bugs we had outside never got in. This house had so many holes into the house

Not to diminish any of your concerns, and I didn’t grow up in nearly as nice a house as this, but there were ladybugs, bees, birds, garden and rat snakes, possums and skunks around my home and yard when I was growing up. I probably ate at least three junebugs as a baby. Our house also had bats. It wasn’t always ideal, but it wasn’t a nightmare. It was considered a normal, middle-class experience, and it taught me to be resourceful and not to fear what I didn’t understand. You can have a home with some ladybugs and maybe even some birds or the odd mouse, and it’ll be ok. You guys seem way more mindful of your kids (they’re so sweet!) than my parents were, and you’re putting together a great home for them. And your living room looks really nice! Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Then if they are not watch Cat Daddy, on UA-cam He is very knowledgeable about cats🥳. Over 20 years ago I had a mouse, problem in my house & I tired, different things the only thing that, worked was a cat & 3weeks later, I had no problems with mice 🥳. My neighbor had a cat & I didn’t know that, You can over stimulate a cat, just by petting it too much, I found this out by watching Cat Daddy🥳, My solution with Mr. Kitty, was 1tsp. Of Hemp Seed Oil it, works like cat nip🥳 & I, also feed Him as well He, was a Big Boy. He is in Heaven now 🥳. Have a Great Day Sunshine’s P.S. Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth look into this. It kills bugs & Baking Soda & cinnamon kills ants 🥳

All the bugs and things that you are talking about are normal to have on your property…its the outdoors…and if your property was vacant for years, the yard was probably grown up with weeds and brush…but remember you don’t want to put a bunch of pesticides on your lawn, where your children will play
We understand on the property. But in the house is a no go, so we’re doing what we need to do in order to seal it.
