Great video! Just made my way over here after listening to PNWild podcast 48 with you in there and headed over here. Liking the videos so far! I've gone fishing probably 4 times but have been unsuccessful every time sadly using the same baits as you, went on silver lake which is by MT baker (maple falls area...silver lake park) is where I go. Want to go back again sometime to try to catch something again! Oh and I love that you prayed on camera before eating! That is something you almost never see any more and I love that you do that! Have a great day! Thanks -Brady from the NW corner of WA
Those power eggs are my go to whenever I’m bottom fishing for trout. I put on an orange and a chartreuse. Seems to work very good for me all the time. Great vid and nice catch.
This young man always has a good time and thanks the lord for it. Good job young man you are a great role model for our youth. God bless SY and family stay safe buddy. 👍🇺🇸🥩👍🇺🇸
Enjoy watching your hunting and fishing adventures! Nice to see you guys keeping it real and not all commercialized like alot of the others out they're. Keep it up!
Good job there Samsoon. Great job making the videos with just pure content and not a bunch of filler music. Im watching and enjoy your channel from Idaho.
Yeah, only a select number of lakes fall under that. There are some lakes that are open year-round, but the alternating lakes allow for those fish to grow to impressive sizes without facing fishing pressure! It's pretty neat, but it's certainly not meant for all lakes!
@@ballzybaits4414 It depends on the lake. Some lakes are multispecies while some lakes like this one are trout-only. Not every fish is a giant, but their chances of getting big are certainly much higher than a lake that is open year-round for sure.
Hey bro!!! I met your sister at Hlub 2018 and she told me to follow you on youtube and I came to realize that we've met before in Spokane on the last day of the annual conference in 2016. So cool to see how much you and your channel has grown, hope to see you continue to grow more and more!
I love a good day on the lake. I am curious why you use such heavy line for rainbows. I'm not saying you are doing anything wrong, but for fish that hunt with their eyes why not go with a 4 or 6 pound main and a 2 or 4 pound leader? Sherbet is a good one, rainbow is great, and chartreuce is my all time favorite. When it is cold and the action is slower pink is killer. I generally prefer the Berkley Gulp! eggs in yellow. They are softer so they come off more quickly but trout go bananas for them. One thing I would suggest is later in the season when the weeds are high it helps to leave some extra slack in your line so that the bait doesn't get dragged down to the bottom. Good luck and keep making great content.
So many planters, they dumped thousands of them in all the lakes.....drives me crazy getting past them to the nice 22-27 inchers. Always fun trying to find the feeding window that trout are in as it tends to rotate around every 4-6 days for a frenzy. Monsters at Roosevelt right now! Nice video brother, the king of content as usual! (: Took a new friend out the other day for some fun on his fly rod and he did very good at the Rock. Check it out. Have to get you on one of those trips some time buddy. Nothing like a fly rod and big fighting trout on one small hook. A 40 fish day though so it was good! Amen and AMEN!
Was just at upper Roosevelt a week before Thanksgiving. They seemed to only be hitting marshmallows when fishing from the shore. Three weeks before that, it was chartreuse power bait. Go figure.
I fished here opening weekend, caught four over 22 inches. Super fun lake to get some quick action. Hoping to get back there soon but I heard its frozen.
Another great episode, we will have to try this recipe. So glad to see a new episode from you. Did you luck out and get a spring bear tag this year? We didn’t unfortunately, but hopefully next year!
Ice fished there several times and pulled some serious lunkers but had to take that lake off the roster:/ the fish meat consistency was mush on through the ice catches... Not as active in the dead of winter maybe have something to do with it or lake depth and size?
This lake is always hot or cold as I briefly discussed in the video. Some days, you can't keep them off the hook. Other days, there seems to be no life in the lake. It's a pretty inconsistent lake, but the Carolina rig has been relatively productive for me.
Another hint for people that don't live in Washington your state also has a similar index. For example say you live in Ohio search rainbow trout ODFW if that doesn't work for your sate look up stalking report and the fish species your targeting.
Well I use 1 can of tuna in oil do not use tuna in water. You will need some flour half of cup of liquid smoke 2 tablespoon of Louisiana hot sauce a pinch of salt and some garlic powder mix all together. Once it stops sticking to your fingers than it's good to go.
I have never caught a fish on that lake. I haven’t fished it as often as you have but it’s never been a good mistress to me. Badger is better in my experience.

I'm in the same place, Lake Shannon in Skagit county. No luck with the eggs, but I won't stop fishing. 🙂

Definitely are some trout magnets!

@@SamongOutdoors Nice! What species are in those lakes?! I imagine they would be big for little fishing pressure.

Gotta weed out the planters to get to the biggins! Roosevelt is always a phenomenal fishery. I definitely need to head up there soon!

Great action!! What sound are you using? Crystal clear.
ah yeup been waiting for this vid!
You need to try notorious jigs for trout. You’ll be amaze how good they are.
Jerry sent me some back in the summertime. I'll give them a try soon!
Awesome video man. Just subbed 👍
Cool
Giving thanks to God before eating 👍
Phone about to die but I had to throw you a like!!
You are the man, Thomas! 💪

Im a bit late but man thats cool
hey hey hey first young boi!
😎😎
I'm sure there are some ancestors in your family screaming why you don't keep the fish head on lol
Have you ever made your own dough bait. I can share a recipe that I use that works extremely well for me
I have not, but that sounds like a fun little project!
You want me to share the recipe with you and all of youtube lol

You have got to score those fish my guy.. allow that great marinade you made to get into the fish
That's a new way to put on 2 powerbait eggs, barely hook the 2nd egg, notice a different vs hooking both eggs in the middle.
Do you fly fish? If not, people might get a kick out of you learning.
I don't, but I've been meaning to get into it. I'm sure I will get a kick out of it learning too.
Where is this
You guys just love to see me suffer
