- Visited Heididorf or Heidi's village in Maienfeld Switzerland. Heidi was one of my favourite characters as a child and she turned out to be the world's most famous Swiss girl. I grew up watching it on Philippine television and never have I thought that one day I'll have a chance of visiting the actual place from the film and the book. For those of you who are not familiar of Heidi:
"Heidi is a work of children's fiction published in 1881 by Swiss author Johanna Spyri, originally published in two parts as Heidi: Her Years of Wandering and Learning and Heidi: How She Used What She Learned."
And from book, it has also a film and cartoon adaptation. It easily became a favourite of people who were born in the 80s and 90s like myself. So, I hope you guys enjoy this little tour of Heidi's village.
