After Paris, we moved to Switzerland and spent our first 4 days in one of their iconic villages, Lauterbrunnen. We stayed at an Airbnb which was a 240-year old chalet right smack in the middle of the valley, with a spectacular view of the Jungfrau facing the balcony. Discovered the timelapse feature of my dji cam and that's what I did to start all 4 days of our stay. Setting up my camera to take 2-hour timelapse videos condensed to a minute and a half while having my coffee. We tried out several local fares, at Hotel Oberland and Hotel Schutzen. On the third day, we went up to Wengen and took the Wengen-Mannlichen cable car up to the Männlichen mountain which was 2,343-metre or 7,687 ft tall! The mountain had amazing views of the whole Lauterbrunnen valley, as well as 360-views of the sprawling Swiss mountains. Day 4 was spent touring Interlaken, we went on a daytrip to Iseltwald, one of the famous spots that was featured in the K-drama "Crash Landing On You". Lake Brienz's turquoise waters rivals that of the Maldives. It was such a gorgeous lake and the boat ride going back to Interlaken was also very enjoyable. Such a great way to cap our stay in the valley.

@E I didn't mention cheaper train tickets in this vlog, you might've seen that somewhere else! But we did purchase a half-fare card which reduces all train and boat ride prices by half. You can purchase that in all the train stations. We got ours from the one near the airport, right after we landed in Zurich.

@Ma. Nikka Laganhon excluding airfare, my husband and I spent around 200k for 8 days in Switzerland. ☺️ that covers food, Airbnb/hotel, train tickets. Airfare from Paris to Zurich was 20k via Air France. Hope that's helpful!

Hi there! It depends on the restaurant, but I would say if it's a nice meal it would probably be at least 2.5kPHP per person. Fast food, around 1k per person. Have fun on your trip!!! 😊

Awww! Thank you so much, that means a lot to me! 🥰 I use the DJI Pocket 2 Creator Combo cam. There are some horizontal shots on my videos that are from my husband's phone but the shift in quality is very noticeable in 4k. It's the only camera I have as of the moment.

Hi there! No, I did not purchase Swiss Passes. Yung half-fare lang ang kinuha namin for our trip. Sulit naman, it covers all including boat rides! ☺

You can buy a pocket wifi. Just look for a travel wi-fi terminal. Usually they are located in airports, or trains. I got mine from Paris so not sure where you can get one in Switzerland.

Can I get across Switzerland by train as a solo travelller?
Yes you can. Really good rail and bus network (In fact a perfect public transport system, but im biased 🇨🇭). Its also very safe. There are travelpasses for public transports that help saving a lot of money. Best

Im not sure if I can answer this properly... I checked a Swisspass for public transports is 429.- SFr for 15 days, or 389.- for 8 days as example (incl trains, buses and ships, also all tram and buses in towns, 50% on mountain cable cars etc.)
That would give you 4000 for 12 days, so ca 300 per day. Type of hotel/hostel/airbnb is probably the bigest cost factor.
Im sure you find much better infornation here on youtube then my estimates.

We spent around 200k for our 8-day stay. That covers accommodation, food, train tickets for roaming around. Good for 2 people. Sa fare, we spent 20k for the flight from Paris to Zurich.

I recommend booking the half-fare ticket if you are staying for a week or more. Specially if you are not renting a car and will be mainly using the public transport to roam around. Other than that, I would say just enjoy and relax! Not a lot to think about in Switzerland, I found that it's a very laidback place, peaceful, gorgeous, and completely safe.

We went to Zurich and stayed there for the last 4 days of our trip. Will upload that vlog some time this week! We went to Lucerne and Italy also, just quick day trips. 😊 Only Spain has a Jollibee branch in all of Europe currently.

Is there a lot of racism here?
Swiss here. „Agressive“ racism will be probably almost 0%. The only kind you‘d get is the one you would not notice (subtle stares for example if you go to a very very rural area with a hijab, people talking about you)
but in bigger touristic areas (Geneva, Tessin, Zurich, Bern, Grindelwald/Lauterbrunnen, Basel etc. basically anything that is not a small mountain village) should be more than used to all kind of foreigners. And if something happens it would be from a weird 80yr old man/lady who sometimes are crazy anyways, even to Swiss people
No, not from my experience! Everywhere we went, the people were nice. Restaurant and cafe staff were nice, train personnel were very accommodating and helpful. In the trains, they were very respectful and friendly. The first time we rode the train, we accidentally sat on the seats meant for PWDs because we were in a mad hurry and were clueless when it came to the signs, a gentleman kindly informed us that we had to move and he was really nice. We apologized profusely and he just laughed it off saying it was okay! Overall, I felt super safe and did not experience anything weird at all! :)
