    I really love this color and shape on you! This is just a smidge shorter than I wear mine....i always laugh when I hear some of you call them short LOL! It was fun to see you use forms instead of tips, and I loved everything about this video. I'm definitely gonna have to try the Mia Secret cover gel. It looks really similar to Young Nails cover pink, which I love. It's much thicker than IBD, so it took me a while to get it down because it doesn't self level as fast, and my application was always super lumpy. But now I absolutely love it. Awesome video!!!

    • @LissetteCruz
      @LissetteCruz  3 роки тому

      yea it is a thicker consistency but its a very pretty color. this and ibd has always been my go to when I first started learning gel.

      @@LissetteCruz I've got a ton of Young Nails cover pink and also a couple jars of Light Elegance cover pinks to use up (both are the super thick gels), but I think I'm gonna try Mia Secret in a nude color. I literally have every color gel and polygel in the world, but no nude. I'm excited to try it!

      3 years after posting, but I really appreciate the in-depth presentation of the bail bed prep. I started doing my nails about 3 years ago, and nail prep is probably the most crucial step in making sure there’s no lifting. I also do not like soaking off the gel and remove it with an e-file.

    Hi Lissette, I watch you videos all the way from Australia and love your work! Question about your cordless nail drill, do you work with plugged in through the day or use it cordless and charge it at the end of a working day? I’m waiting for mine to arrive and just checking how other nail techs use theirs. I’ve always wondered wether cordless is as powerful as a plugged in nail drill.
    Sorry for the ramble, this is just a real mystery to me,
    Thank you in advance 🙏🏻💙

    • @LissetteCruz
      @LissetteCruz  3 роки тому

      This drill is super powerful. I don't keep it plugged in at all. The battery life on this thing is amazing and I could go without charging it for a while. If its someone who is working on multiple clients a day they might need to charge it every other day.
      Im only turning mine once to use every other day. But Im not really taking any clients at that either, so for me so far the last time I charged mine was a week and a half ago and it still has battery life.

    Hi I’m new here. I’ve been trying to find the gel my tech uses because I need to start saving my money and get back to doing my nails myself. I’m wondering does this gel have a heat spike when you put it under the uv/led lamp? My tech changed what she uses but won’t tell me what it is. And this looks exactly like the color that’s on my hands right now. These look so good thank you for sharing. I also messaged you on ig

      I noticed another viewer asked this as well and Lissette promised to do a more in depth video about building the apex. In the meantime, try doing a thin layer first and cure. Then do a second layer a little thicker and before curing flip your hand over (palm up) and allow the gel to naturally create an apex. I struggled with building an apex with gel in the beginning, but once you get it you will love it and it gets super fast and easy! Just keep practicing!

      Yes back in about 2012 my nail tech was using builder gel over my nail designs in acrylics and I had no idea what that was until literally 4 months ago!😂

    You did it so fast and easy. It was a beautiful job. I just started doing my own nails and your videos really have helped. I especially love your "haul" videos which keep me from getting bad products online. Thanks again. Love you and will continue to watch faithfully.

    Removing stones is my least favorite part of nails I've jammed my eponycium too many times being reckless with my own nails lol and I think most nail techs are finger contortionists I be bending my fingers all kinda ways lol but I hate filing my pinkies cuz they be cramping up on me 😂🤷

    I love your nail videos. Ive been watch a lot if your videos . This has been such a hard year for me . 4 weeks ago I lost my niece and nephew both in the same week. Then 2 days later I went through a domestic violence situation in a long term relatioship. As a results I had to move out on my own. I have stage 3 colon cancer and did all the moving by myself. Needless to say I'm exhausted.. Than two days after that my brother was in an awful accident with a tractor trailer truck. 😪💔😪 watching your videos has been my one of my outlets. Thank you for sharing. I hope better days are coming and soon. Thanks again Debby

    😄 I love it how the first nail you're doing a slip layer then adding the tip, then a second layer, etc... For the rest of the nails you're like "Let's just get these biotches on there". Lmao 😂 It's a beautiful, work appropriate, all around matching everything set!! 😁👍

    Hi , I'm new to your channel and absolutely loving your videos and nail tips and tricks. 💖💕💖 I had a question about using the arbor band on the natural nail.. how often do you take product all the way down to the natural nail and buff it with the arbor band? I always worry that I'm over doing it unless it's brand new growth like with a fill?

      so honestly I never file it all the way off I alway leave my base layer on. I alway have that on as a protective layer. 💕

    I love your videos and I’ve been a subscriber for quite a while. I was wondering how long does it actually take you to do your nails? I know the camera speeds up time during the video I find myself on a Sunday doing my nails for 46 hours. That is 4 to 6 hours. I am a nail enthusiast not a professional but I just love doing nails , Any suggestions on gel or tips? I’ve seen videos where they push the tip all the way to the back of the cuticle and then I’ve seen where they stop about a quarter of the way from the cuticle what is your thoughts?

    • @LissetteCruz
      @LissetteCruz  3 роки тому +1

      it depends on the design it can take 1 to 2 1/2 hours sometimes 3 if its more detailed work.
