Great video! Couple questions: is it possible to link up multiple bulbs on one piece of wood, all connected to the toggle switch? Also, is drilling with a handheld drill doable? I don’t have a drill press!
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Hector Kayden thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
This is a great idea. I am going to make a couple of these for my son's college dorm. I will use the fake "edison" LED bulbs instead of an incandescent. Do you think that a standard socket will be fine?
+R Doerr That's great, I'm sure your son will love them. I can't really comment on which type of socket would be ok (I'm not an electrician) but I went with a porcelain socket since it's my understanding that it acts as an insulator.
i see tho i love the project i am going be making a edison lamp soon out of some cedar and i found a place to that sale vintage plugs not old plugs but they look like what they would of use back then
Thank you! With your video, I was finally able to learn how to drill the holes in order to attach the toggle switch! I appreciate your instructions.
That's great! I'm glad it helped :-)
Thank you. Very helpful with the wiring.
Can you make this as a battery powered ?

How much depth did you leave inthe block when you switched from the Forstner bit to the spade bit?
Yes that’s the tricky part. You want to get as deep as possible without punching through. Maybe a quarter inch from the surface.
Thanks, I'm planning to make this lamp at the Helio's Makerspace this afternoon.
Very inspiring,thank you!

What did you do with that IKEA light socket that you took apart in an earlier video?
Cool, minimalist light. I like it.
I see you’re really paying attention! I used it on another project but didn’t make a video.
Where you get the toggle switch from
There's a link in the video's description to the toggle switch
@@DIYMontreal oh ye, never used this feature before.
Many thanks. BTW great job
- VERT interesting.
soldering could of been used here u would not had to run the power wire that long
Sure that would work, I just don’t have a soldering iron or experience with soldering personally. This makes it more accessible to all.
WELL if i could find a way to send you one i got few irons around

Cool, I think a vintage plug would look awesome on this lamp.
would u like me to post the link
A+
Cool, thanks!
Hot wire?!😂
