Finally, you mentioned game stores, I been complaining about this since the first time they released it. Waste of money I spend I was trying to make competitive deck. If I can't even find anyone to play with I won't spend money to play it. I already called my local game store, they contact the spin masters, no answer from them.
Later walmart and other place selling them half off. So that tells me I should give up.
I prefer the old game, but cores are a cool concept!

This is so true, but i think they were half off so they could put in the second round, but if its accessible to game stores or shoot just sell booster boxes of the cards like in MTG (which i buy for sure) theyd make more money. We all know that the Masquerade revelation was one of the most surprising plot twists on cartoon history.
And sorry, I was fan of all the members of the team. My favorite saga is that one where the team fight to make the Bakugans evolve.

First series was better, don't like the Dan redesign
That arc felt like the only instance where the characters got significant character development, aside from Alice who had huge development near the end. It made me fall in love with Julie's character because her trauma is so relatable. Crippling stage fright, inferiority complex, and the desire to out-do the impossible. Her battle with Daisy is a perfect representation of those things because everything Daisy did just mirrored Julie's actions. It showed how Julie was her own worst enemy.

Shun was the best character, who actually had a pretty good arch. Which was losing his mother and being taken into by his strict unloving grandfather. This made him disconnect and tighten up, allowing for his character to open up and let his friends in.
He legit should've been the main character, and what they did to him in the remake was criminal.

I swear they were marketed (at least to me) as “girl Bakugan”. - Oh and I completely forgot there was an actual game to Bakugan, kids in my playground back then were more into trading and just being able to compete with each other in terms of having the coolest looking one.
Yup, I still remember that McDonald's Happy Meal deal where you could get Zoobles or Bakugan depending on your gender. At least that's how I remember it was working back then
Zoobles were made by same people were considered a spinoff of the show/game. I believe they still made Zoobles up until a few years ago.

I was super into Bakugan back in the day, and I would love to get into the relaunch but I have a limited budget and already play MTG religiously. My favorite Bakugan would have to be Leonidas, which was exclusive to the video game that he mentioned and it pisses me off to no end to this day that it never got a physical release.
It's a true crime I really wish he was an actual toy. Just to have him would be awesome.
I feel this I was SUPER into Bakugan too,honestly the straw that broke the camels back for me,and idk if you were here when this was a thing,but right at the TAIL END of Gundalian Invaders (I started with New Vestroia personally) Spinmaster had a set of like 10 different Battle Gear that never got released to the public,but we can still look up the prototype builds, Explosix Gear, Destrakon Gear etc.
Also I dropped after the first quarter of Mechtanium Surge because that was when the show was unbearable tied with the horrible god awful distribution.

I miss the old bakugan game. It was perfect for kids to play at school. You could literally carry everything in your pocket then sit down on the floor with a friend and play.

Agreed, but also he was ripped off in the show. He was the best Bakugan player according to every other character in the show, but was then beaten by Dan and Masqurade. Masqurade I can understand cause he got the number one spot while Shun was banned from the game. Dan only won because he has plot armor and main character syndrome. Prior to the battle between the two of them, Shun had shown multiple times that he had the superior tactics while Dan tended to bank on brute force. When two equal power opponents face off, tactics always wins. Not to mention, if I'm remembering the rules correctly, Ventus has a type advantage over Pyrus. I'm probably making a big deal over nothing, but that Dan vs Shun fight in season 1 always bothered me. I'm also not a huge fan of how he plays second fiddle to Dan in seasons 2-4 for the exact same reason. We never saw a growth in Dan's character or a change in his tactics and we are supposed to believe that he's the best player just because of brute force and hacking Drago to evolve every season so he never has to get a new partner. Sorry for the rant. I just really hate Dan.
He had the best character developement. He went from coldhearted jerk in season 1 to risking his life to save his bakugan in season 2.

Dear lord Bakugan was my childhood. I watched it when I was in elementary school but sadly could never play the game, mainly because I only knew one other person who even owned any Bakugan and neither of us had any idea what we were doing. Most of time we just compared and talked about the show.
Show wise I remember watching all the way up to the third series, I loved the original and New Vestroia, the 3rd series kinda lost me a bit, I TRIED watching the beginning of 4th series...and it lost me. Put me in that situation Negative talked about, dropping out of the show and then wanting to come back in...and I was soooooo lost. Didn’t stop me from getting like 2-3 Bakugan from every season though, mainly the Partner Bakugan because I thought they were cool!
As for the new series...I haven’t seen much of it. I’ve been curious and meaning to get to it, I even bought one Bakugan from the new series to show support(even got my favorite attribute Ventus), but I’ve just been...indifferent to it.
As for a favorite...I’m gonna go super cliche and say Leonidas. I’m pretty sure everyone who played the first Video Game loved Leonidas and wished they released an actual toy of him.

My favourite bakugan was definitely Leonidas. I really loved his ball form design when he was Omega Leonidas. It's a shame that there never was an actual toy version of him.

I also loved Leonidas. I really like his design, especially when he becomes Omega Leonidas. I also loved his personality and character development throughout the whole game. I still play the Bakugan game today on the Wii just so I can have Leonidas.
There is actually a toy version of it that was released for the reboot videogame, but is not as good as the og.

To be honest the similarities are most likely coincidence. Both Hatsune Miku and Bakugan came out at around the same time afaik, so no plausible timeframe for one to copy the other.

the remaster for me was pretty meh, it was pretty much a dumbed down version of the OG bakugan, making the characters more childish and more straight goals, i mean the story introduced "b-virus" which age really well. I really loved the character designs, especially with the main characters and some of the villains

@@NettieDavis I only saw the show (Reboot) in Greek dub [And still do] (It is tv, Nickelodeon specifically) and in the best translation I can provide it's called the "Dark Virus" sounds better in Greek which is called as "Σκοτεινό ιός" (Sko-ti-no i-os)

Bakugan is still an anime even if it was commissioned by a western company, funny enough :0 the English dub really changed a lot in the anime... like did you know that shun's mom was dead? Or the fact that he was not stuck up either? Or the fact that Runo was not a B*tch or even annoying in the original Japanese version? Yes, the Japanese is original, since the dub's scrip is a localization of it... If you guys have the chance please check out the fan subs for the original Bakugan. :D there's different music actual silence and overall very different tone in the show.

Not to mention Masquerade’s characterization in Japanese is like that one edgelord who takes a game WAY too seriously.
Scratch that, Masquerade was just an edgelord, period. A complete contrast to Alice, his other self, who was gentle and LOVED the Bakugan as companions.
Masquerade’s Darkon Trial against Exedra was where he learned nothing from his mistakes or his crimes.
The real trial happened when Alice was forced to battle Klaus so she can face and bear the weight of Masquerade’s sins towards the Bakugan.
Yea, I recently watch a bunch a sub clips that were informative, the music was good, and got my heart stomped a few times from the feels.
Like for an example spoiler,
Wavern asking Drago to kill her to get the Infinity Core while she is dying from her short lifespan and the strain from the Infinity Core, I remembered it as she gave the core up to Drago and dying afterwards, but I just misremembered that part, didn't hurt back then, but remembering now it kinda does.
Oh wow that really reminds of the asinine changes that were done to Sonic X, that utterly crushed and squeezed out the important substance of the Japanese plot.

My fave's probably the Monorus, it's just beautiful! Rattleoid was a close 2nd, because it was always my "partner" Bakugan when I played with a friend.
I remember the whole mystery element with the bad guy in the crazy shades and it was like "who could it beeee" for it to turn out to be the femme girl. It felt so ridiculous then but now it's like "damn, we stan gender fluid queen"

My favorite bakugan growing up as a kid was Leonidas. Now I know some people will yell at me and say that he is not canon because he was never in the any of the TV shows or wasn't an actual toy and was only in the game. I know that but the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game was my childhood and I still love the game to this day. It's not perfect, far from it but I still have fun with it. Leonidas may not be canon to the actual show but he is in my heart.

I loved this show as a kid. Also, i had a HUGE crush on the main character. Yeah, at some point even thought we were going to marry and raise bakugans together (? don´t judge me please, that made sense in my 7 yo mind hahahaha

1: Season 2, 3, and 4 could be better if Dan and Dragon weren't the main protagonist in those three seasons.

I’ve always loved Bakugan and I’m enjoying the new reboot on Cartoon Network as well!! It brings me back to the Saturday morning cartoon days I watch it religiously every week! Even with it's problems I enjoy it. Armored Alliance has introduced some really neat new characters. Hope you can do more Bakugan on your second channel one day maybe some reviews or discussions, this was awesome video bro! :D
I was introduced to the series by the reboot and I'm loving it, in my country the reboot plays on Nickelodeon on a daily basis and I never miss it and agree "Armored Alliance" so far has more twist than a Cinnamon roll, my god! 😆😆😆😆

Man I miss bakugan, dropped it tho for the reason in this video and because in my area I felt like it never took off in popularity. I still have my lucky translucent ventus drago on my desk tho. Actually I probably didn’t get into bakugan again too because they dropped the ventus type and I adored that color scheme.
No matter how Rattata-level basic he was, I've always thought Robotallion was pretty cool. There were a couple mechanical bakugan in the anime from I think either New Vestroya or Mechtanium Surge that I remember being pretty into as well, but they never made it to production. Anyone else miss the card art from the first few waves of the OG game?

I remember being in kindergarden and EVERYONE had atleast 1 bokugan. And I had 3...even tho i dident know what is was.
The fact that the new games isn't supported in locals much is only half the problem, as some retailer locations seem to be pretty lazy about current products. My Walmart even stopped stocking the cards all together

finds it hilarious that even though in the original they establish the rules in the 1st ep, they constantly break them with no one bating an eye
Am I the only one that found it confusing as a kid that Bakugan brought up battle gear and then the next season they were like.... "Bakugan with weapons NANI! We should make nano gear."
That and liked the multiple gate cards like the original instead of the 1 card in later installments.
My favourite bakugan is hawktor because he was one of my first bakugan. I got it when it was still running and I was little, I also got a few other bakugan. Over time some of them broke but I still kept them. One day I forgot about them but I found them again about 3 years later and became obsessed with bakugan. It was dead with no reboot in sight and I watched the anime on UA-cam. Shun became my favourite brawler and when I dug out my old bakugan the one remaining was my Ventus hawktor. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

God just the name Bakugan, it brings me back to Saturday mornings where my jaw legit dropped when Alice was revealed to be Masquerade. And me and my brother placing bets on who was gonna win this episode
Those were the days. Gave all mine to my nephews. Then they lost them. That's okay, they had lots of fun anyways.
Apparently they're called that 'cause their first major seller was 'Devil Sticks' of all things. That's right, Spin Master made their own line of batons in the PS1 era and they actually sold moderately well!

My nephew likes the new show and it is more casual and not nearly as serious as the first show. However it is fun to watch at times (no matter how much the changes they made to characters bothers me)

I used to love Bakugan in the primary, but dropped it some time after.
Recently I rediscovered it and after short look at the wiki i went like what? I don’t remember all of that.
But all franchises which exist for longer period will face it.
Edit: favourite Bakugan? Initially it was Drago because he was the Center of the show and i was plain. Later on i took more liking in Helios and Tigrera to some extent.
OK my problem with reboots is they dumb things down so much.
Oh man. Where do I begin about the show that was my childhood. First off, Hyranoid and Skyress were my favorites. This show was a huge part of my childhood after certain shows I watched fell off the radar, or just got cancelled. It was super popular with the other kids at my school and I loved the show. Yeah, I’m upset about the Bakugan reboot just as much as I was about the Ben 10 reboot. But I understand why the companies did what they did. Still, I’d adore an actually competitive, and still fun game based on Bakugan that I could play at my local game store where I play Magic, Yugioh, and D&D. (Seriously, games these days are either competitive OR fun, there’s no compromise)
