(As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
Nice to see John in this one, I don't recall seeing him during any other weeks, did better than many newbies who appeared on the show. Loved Fanny, so attractive and funny, made for an enjoyable show whenever she or Betty were in seat 6. Only sad part was this being the final show in Sandy Vasco's run; what a living doll. Beautiful face and smile, nice demeanor, sexy voice....at least she left with a nice haul of $13K.
What's funny is that John really did do better than many new celebs even though he didn't match a single one of the first six questions, and only matched the seventh because the judges ruled that his "lick" matched the contestant's "kiss."
Today's trivial coincidence: John Forsythe would become the voice of "Charlie" on "Charlie's Angels" which debuted on September 22, 1976, and one of that show's iconic stars, Farrah Fawcett, also happened to be one of the most famous Wella Balsam "girls" (there's a Farrah Fawcett Wella Balsam TV commercial from 1974 available on UA-cam). And, one of today's sponsors ("fee plug") just happens to be Wella Balsam @ 16:44. (Edit: I see Kate Jackson makes her MG debut in just a few weeks on episode #511.)
Would you study or read about Chemistry if you didn't have to. Doesn't seem to be a subject Gene would be interested in. BUT then again he was a gardener so maybe he should have known and was just trying to make a joke.. I don't know.. ;0)
He also didn't seem to know that male kangaroos lack pouches. (And potash is primarily used in fertilizers. Most of the world's potash comes from Canada.)
Well, they often match forms of the word. Recently people threw snowballs at an Eskimo wedding, but Ira matched "snow." Now, you could throw a handful of loose snow, and that would actually look more like rice... I dunno. It's a fine line. Are dogs capable of kissing? Or do they always lick? I wouldn't want that job.

Ok, I am thinking both are tobacco products, they want the contestant to win some money as it is a different part of the game and it is a Richard answer.. That is my thoughts.. ;0)

If I'm not mistaken, the pickpocket question was used previously on an earlier show. Anyone else remember this?
I have noticed others as well.
They used something similar.
J.C. Penney was popular in Watts, huh? It was a good place to shop in my hometown too. Pronounced Jacques Penne now and then.
20:50 Lol! _"I happen to be a dog lover, if the police blotter in Philadelphia is correct."_
Smart ash...Lol
BTW Male kangaroos do NOT have a pouch.
Only female kangaroos have pouches. Wtf kinda trick "blank" was that?!
Was Gene making a joke, or did he really not know what potash was?
And for those who don't know, it's a potassium-rich mineral, not marijuana ash.
Potash IS potassium. It's an older name for the element, if memory serves.
@@dianefarley37 Actually potash is a potassium compound, usually potassium chloride.

pickpocket question has been used befoer
Gary sure was jealous of Richard. Tried to get a little dig on him. Well it didn't work.
Yes he was he consistently made snide comments which I'm glad Richard ignored. Gary did the same to Brett

Cigar and cigarette are two completely different things
Today Elaine acted as if she didn't know what retaliatory meant and asked what intimidated meant.
That had to be an act because like Joyce Bulifant I'd watched her on password plus and she was also very sharp

Brett with the constant coughing
At least Richard let her have cough drops in the recent episodes.

Arthur Ashe. Not Ash.
