I am going to change the ignition coil on mine because i have no fire to both of my coil packs. This video did help me locate my ignition coil. Hope get your truck running bro. Many thanks for video.
Soo 1 year later and no responce did you fix the problem or junk the s10. several people with the same problem.. hear's the fix.. ''replace head gasket''.
i bought a 96 sonoma with2.2 and 5 speed -spun rod-killed crankshaft- 1600 later motor is back in truck=no spark at plugs-replaced cam sensor and crankshaft sensor. swapped coil pack and ignition control module -no spark at plugs - any reccomendations
Ive been having the same problem with my 96 2.2 .... Runs fine then after a few mins of running it losses power and ive changeed everything.... Im thinking maybe the fuel injectors now
@@ChrisThedudenurse well I pulled my intake apart the other day and swap the number one and number two injectors and now I'm getting a po302 code .... Beforehand I was getting p0301.... So that's a good indicator of my problem I believe
loses power or starts to misfire>? these are bad about having corroded grounds all over the frame. Also, the injector Oring will start to leak and cause misfires.

Glad I could help. It actually ended up being my EGR valve that was messing up my S10.

Numbered coil is orig. Unmarked is a replacement. I push flap inward out of the way.

Almost sounds like something didn’t get connected back. I’d start with wiring.
the problem is it doesn't have a $600 Chinese turbo kit
Now that could be a solution, I need to look into that.
I’ve been having code po304 misfire changed all spark plugs,cables and ignition coil.still getting the same code.
Mine actually ended up being fuel related. EGR and fuel pressure regulator.

I finally did yes. it's broken since then though.
Have you checked the valves?
It was the EGR valve
Carburetor choke hung?
