This is a great video! I do have some issues with it though: I think that Link in Smash 4 is Twilight Princess Link, as he has all of the items from that game. The companion fairy that shows up in one of his taunts could just be any random fairy, as you collect those in Twilight Princess. And he has the master sword prior to the game. His hair is also a different color than the Brawl version, with it being more brown, similar to how twilight Princess Link looks. So I think that he got into the Sky canon from Twilight Princess, which launched him into Skyworld, where he met up with Pit and Palutena, who introduced him into the world of smash bros. That way Brawl Link could have been his ancestor or something. And there's nothing proving that he ISN'T Twilight Princess Link. As he's shown to have the master sword before coming into smash. Also, I don’t know how Melee Link could have used the boomerang, as after his events in Ocarina of Time the boomerang rots, causing it to not be used. I don’t know how going into the sacred realm would have unrotted it, I think you would have had to go back in time, then go back into the sacred realm and make sure to go into smash bros before the boomerang rots but after you’ve aged. And I don’t know how 64 Link could have had the hookshot, as you get it in the Water temple. Also, how could Link have gotten the Master sword in Breath of the Wild when the old man is still there? And gone through all the shrines? And got the champions tunic, since he would have had to have found at least one memory. I think the old man being there is a retcon in this case. It just doesn’t make sense. Also, I think Link just canonically dies in Pyra Mythra’s trailer, as he is shown to be blown to smithereens. Not to mention Links bombs can’t be blown to pieces. And he isn’t shown in any other trailers after that one, not even in the final world of light cutscene. I think that after he dies he’s turned into a statue, and the smash bros cast doesn’t know how to revive him. Until Sora comes and does that. But other than that, nice video.
Sorry for the late reply been sick and recording things for next video, and most of those issues you pointed out were things I had to consider to whether I should have said that the whole thing takes place in an alternate universe but that feels to lame and doesn't make a good of a story and as for BOTW since all thee vague language in the game where he feels familiar with a lot of things in that game and that calamity Ganon is still around in the WOL mode, I got to make the call that in came before
Pretty good video. I will say the issue with the smash 64 section is even back when it came out, oot was a prequel to lttp and Zelda 1-2. If I remember correctly oot wasn’t actually finished when smash came out, which could be why hyrule castle doesn’t really look like the one from oot
Oof came out in 1998 of November where smash 64 came out in 1999, plus the reason I structured my rules on how I create my videos is to avoid all the timeline stuff and just focus on what smash brings to the table for him
