I had a Faderport 8, then upgraded to a 16. I thought that learning this thing would be a hell of a curve, and it would have but then I found your videos. I went to your website today and will most likely contacting you to zoom with you. Excellent tutorial!
There’s no dead space! We need that space to rest our hands. That’s what makes it ergonomically comfortable. The last thing I want is to rest my hand and hit a bunch of buttons! IMHO Great video. Thx.
We need a full control surface not just faders. Most everything on your screen uses KNOBS. Knobs are more important than faders for controlling. Put some nice knobs on the damn thing instead of one microscopic one. Having to remember what you assigned tons of buttons for is an absolute NO. I'll never buy this thing. It's not logical to have to replace mouse menu diving with bait and switch the button diving.
totally agree on the wasted space. So many more features could be added to the Faderport. Do i love my Faderport 16, yes, can it be improved. totally. I have the detach console, console narrow/widen and console height mapped to those F5-8 keys. Did you know that the big blue encoder when clicked is mapped to the QWERTY keyboard Return key
Dave, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. I have learned so much from you about StudioOne and recording music!
Thank you very much for the kind words!
Foot switch is perfect for Punch in/outs. I record alone and it is super useful when playing bass or guitar etc
Totally agree!

Thanks, Dave. More very useful tips and examples. I hope PreSonus watches these.
I hope so too! LOL

Great video. Thx.
There is a TON of wasted and dead space on that unit, sorry
How much of the fader board parameters will work with logic? Is it possible to map custom assignments? Great series of videos!
I don't understand the question, sorry
Thank you Dave very great lesson/ to part 4
Many thanks!
If they added scribbles to the soft keys, the function name could change when the shift button is pressed.
Great point!

Thank you!
You're welcome!
