Junko generally lies about her intentions and even lied about what her plan was to Ikusaba. The game never tells you one piece of information. What lie did Junko tell Ikusaba to get her to agree to kill all of her friends that she does value as much as her life. Ikusaba does not join The Ultimate Despair by her will either. She joins it because her sister more or less guilt trips her into joining it.
And also, after reviewing the wiki, I have seen no evidence about another novel. It states Mukuro joined despair because she wanted her sister's love; and there was no mention about Maizono and Naegi having a relationship. Although it's mentioned that they started to develop mutual feelings for each other before she's killed in the game.

That scene was such a shock to me since I went into that anime thinking Mukuro was just a broken girl under Junko's control but if anything she comes off like she gets off on every horrible thing her sister does.

But at that point they didn't even see the REAL Junko Enoshima so the think she' s the real one and nobody thinks she is acting like her sister or something

It could simply mean that when the photos she takes are subjected to the same fine-tuning process as other models, Junko’s always turn out the best. It’s true that they were attempting to drop that hint she wasn’t Junko by pointing this out, but it wasn’t really as well-hidden a clue as they might’ve intended
My favorite little touch is that most characters look happy and determined when you consent with them, but Mukuro looks surprised, almost as if she’s shocked someone actually listened to her and agreed with how she thought...

When I thought this Junko was the real Junko. She was amongst my favorites, along with Asahina, Chihiro, Ishimaru, Sakura, and Monokuma (but he doesn't count). And just like that all of my favs died, the end.
She's honestly kinda sad as a character. Just when she was starting to feel twinges of happiness, of "hope" if you will, she's killed by the monster that is her sister, for FUN. Mukuro had a chance at redemption, and it was snatched away from her before she could seize it.
It's events like these that make me wish they would write a separate story where the whole class didn't have to do a killing game and went through hopes peak as normal friends. Just with no crazy Junko and Mukuro free to be herself

When we got this mode at the end of Danganronpa trigger happy I was actually kind of hoping that because we already knew Junko's secret and how things came to be. I was actually kind of hoping we'd get Junko and her sister in their own skin no disguises etc. I was legit hoping that we'd get to chat with the real Junko and learn about her. But because that didn't happen it feels like a missed opportunity to me. 🙄

Mukuro was gonna have Sakura’s arc, but by Chapter 4 Kodaka went “oh wait, I killed her already by the 1st Chapter for the sake of shock value & drama......whoops........OH WELL, I’LL JUST GIVE HER ARC TO SAKURA INSTEAD!!!”.
@@kaylemathewcomendador6964 They honestly could switched sakura and mukuro have sakura die first because she tries to stop monokuma at the start but even with her strength she isn't enough and then basically give mukuro sakuras story have her working with junko but then as the game progresses and she sees more of her classmates die and feel sadness it makes her change and eventually go against junko it'd also be interesting seeing how everyone reacts once they find out she was helping junko.

I guess the ultimate soldier would have enough agility to dodge attacks, but I also think Monokuma would definitely deal some fatal blows that only Sakura could handle.
Plus, I’m guessing Mukuro doesn’t exactly have any of her weapons on her. It would cause alarms if she did, and someone would’ve definitely taken them at some point in the story if they found them.
@@MageBurger Some ancillary media has shown that Mukuro knows how to fight even without weapons. But who knows if Kodaka would have wanted that…

When we got this mode at the end of Danganronpa trigger happy I was actually kind of hoping that because we already knew Junko's secret and how things came to be. I was actually kind of hoping we'd get Junko and her sister in their own skin no disguises etc. I was legit hoping that we'd get to chat with the real Junko and learn about her. But because that didn't happen it feels like a missed opportunity to me. 🙄
