didn't read all comments but slides slideshot is hard. and I don't see why people will try to shit talk mufflerman. greatest ranger to play game....
Lol, i taught myself how to do this after watching one of your pvp videos. It's pretty tricky at first but once you get the hang of it it's somewhat easy and it works like a charm against melee classes or runners.

according to the gale\heartshot turning autoattack on - it does only if you pressed aa once or more before gale\heartshot so you have to put off your bow or use some skills that cancels aa, like shock arrow

even if my animation plays through the air i get paused in animation while i land
you can use weapon swaps to activate the slides too it's just very awkward timing and it's easier to just jumpshot/ani cancel xD
as a general note you can slide ofc in any direction, but you slide the furthest if your camera is facing the way you are jumping it's the same with jumpcasts, you'll only get like 4-5m if you jump backwards, but you can get like 9 if you jump forwards
How I slide shot is, When in the middle of the jump (when your guy is at the peak) let go of the movement key briefly, hit the auto attack (default is C I believe) then directly after I press my skill I want to use. As soon as you land press forward and jump button together and you'll fly across the screen using the skill (I move my screen with mouse and always press forward for increased dps). Once you get the timing down you can chain lots of slide shots together and keep mobility.
I tried it with my templar and with skills that make you stop, all you need to really do is have an action beforehand to make it slide though sometimes the animations are odd and some wont work, but for example I was weapon swapping from greatsword to mace for robust blow --> magic smash,

cool vid ^^ with the bit at like 13m or so with the double slides, it's like mountain crash with chanters; you can slide it and disorienting with auto attacks, but you can also do it with IJ/soul strike;
It is quite hard to do it. I was practicing for about 4 hours and saw the result. I was doing it on sin as well. But I did it when my sin was autoattacking the dummy. The main qustion is where to put the button of autoattack to use it effectively.
Try to hit the keys quicker. You may have lower oing which requires you to hit the keys quicker
You said you move to left and right with your left and right mouse click, how I put it like that, so I dont have to press E or Q. ??
Im new with Ranger. I can do slide shot is very simple. But when i do jumpshot, it doen't work. I press and hold W, then press Space, then release all key and press skill when he is in the midle of the air (swiff skill). Then he just jump down immediately and do the animation. My ping is 220. So can u guys help me where is wrong?

Hello :D, I have a question about Key binding. My computer has a numpad so I use that for my first bar, 1-= for my sencond and the f1-f12 for hidden skills. Would this create a problem for me in PvP? So far it is working quite well, but I am only a level 40 and have few attacks.
Even 2 years later, it's still quite helpful. Tho playing with 30ms requires weaving timing to be really accurate or it mess up the slideshot :/ sad but true :D. Thanks anyway.
Recommend me a good gladiator that does turtorials either on twitch with vods or he uploads them on youtube, if possile !:D

muff i got a quick question i use alt to use most of my skills how am i going to jump shot and attack at the same time?
Thats why he said that alt is pretty hard to do... that he suggest to use shift because it is impossible to press alt + c + w + skill and spacebar in this short period of time :p

psssst what you're saying isn't correct "you need to weave to slideshot" it isnt hard to slideshot without weaving, u can either run and wear ur weapon use skill jump in direction or u can just wear bow jump and use skill with the right timing it is easy.
