To be honest a lot of pop punk music sounds similar so its not too far a reach but I really like Sum 41, It never felt like they rip off songs, and a lot of bands inspire and play with each other too

bro every sum 41 song is a rip off. listen to their new album. literally over half of the songs have the excact same riff. and that riff was used multiple times on every sum 41 album. tbh the only album that has some originality to it is Screaming Bloody Murder and parts of DTLI. i like sum 41 tho

I think that "Icon fo hire - War" sounds similar to "Sum 41 - War", but in that case, Sum 41 released it's song first, a few months before Icon for Hire

Man Overboard, a rather obscure blink single has been ripped by so many bands lol. Whether it be the riff or the chorus hook. Welcome to the black parade/take a look at yourself was especially damning, wow. Underclass sounded very uninspired then and now. Screaming Bloody Murder has some gems and fire, but other than that most of post Chuck sounds very halfhearted, watered down and forgettable imo. They used to really write some killer hooks so it's sad.
