Nancy does not owe anything. I am also sure she does not want to answer questions to rumors about her brothers private life. Also the three were introduced as original members which Nancy was not she joined the show in the second season.

In 2019 Nancy lost her brother Phillip and her father too, she was reportedly “devastated” by these losses. Then this past pandemic year changes your perspective about things. I believe it probably wasn’t any adverse feelings toward her former cast mates, they reunited in recent years prior and they seem genuinely fond of each other. I think it’s cool the way Lisa covered for her friend without leaving room for negative speculation.

I agree, some people are still not over the events of last year and to have lost 2 close family members just prior to 2020, that’s just devastating. There are times that it feels like events in life break you and fixing that break takes different amounts of time for each person.

Nancy is old enough and has enough life experience to know if you don't want to do something or if you have to put your family first, that's what takes priority. She has earned success and doesn't have to sacrifice her family's convenience or her peace of mind for a paycheck. You learn with age, and especially the loss of the most important people in our lives, that life is too short to miss things with your kids or to even inconvenience your life unless you genuinely want to do something or need the money to survive, which she doesn't. She's not some kid who needs the job or recognition.
Maybe Nancy puts family ahead of Hollywood. I guess hard for Holyweird to understand.

There is no drama with Lisa, Mindy, Kim, and Nancy at all. I know we want to see our favorite TV actors on reunion shows but many have lives and other commitments. People do move on with their personal lives and find the time when it works out for them.
Nancy appeared with all of the other FOL girls in Kim Field's Christmas movie in 2019, so it's not like Nancy has a "beef" with any of the girls.
Lisa and Nancy are best friends to this day.

Nancy had said many years ago that she was done with The Facts of Life , and had moved on. So I don’t think she was trying to snub anyone.
And yet, she has still participated in several reunions projects with her castmates from the show. The reason why she did not appear and the 2001 reunions movie was because of scheduling conflicts with her hit show "the division." She also rejoined her castmates for the TV Land Awards special honor of the show in 2011, & she rejoined her castmates to appear in Kim Fields' lifetime Christmas movie, "you light up my christmas" in 2019, so I don't think she's completely moved on. I think she's got a family that she prioritises, like Lisa Whelchel said.

She has passed on other reunion shows. I also remember her brother passed away a few years ago; maybe visiting the area would bring back too many memories. As you said, no one's business but hers.

Fast Forward to Nancy being on Drew Barrymore Show for a reunion for free
Ms. McKeon did NOT owe the fans any explanation. The live show went well and the world went on the next day. Whatever reason she wouldn’t or couldn’t do it is fine by me. There’s definitely NO drama with Ms.McKeon and the other cast cuz they reunited b4 many times. The live taping is done, everyone is back to their lives. Leave it be.
Nancy, Kim and Lisa did Mindy’s podcast “Monday’s with Mindy” so whatever it was, it’s wasn’t between the friends.
:45 (Lisa was 16, not 26, when she started on TFoL; she was 24 about to turn 25 when the series ended in 1988. That detail is important relative to the context of her age on the show, what with her supposed to have been in high school... :) )

I say that you missed a few possible explanations that don't put these ladies into a "backstage drama" over a reunion.
1. Nancy's brother passed away on December 10, 2019. Considering that the filming takes place very close to the date of his death, and it's only been two years, could have had something to do with it. My mom passed away in 2003 and I still have days, especially around Christmas where I get depressed over how much I miss her. Isn't it possible that Nancy is still mourning and possibly depressed over her loss and didn't want to be there?
2. You said school starts in September and that her kids would have started then. Many schools across the US start in late August, if a child transfers to a new school in December, October, April or any month during the school season, they're going to start school within _that_ month. Kids who started off as home schooled can decide to attend a school after months into the school year. It's quite possible that one of those scenarios happened for them.
3. There's a pandemic. Nancy may have wanted to avoid crowds that she didn't just _have_ to be around.
4. Something more important in her life may have taken top priority. It happens. She has a husband and kids, so she just might be the type to put them first.
Also, money doesn't control everyone to the point of talking a lot about it or dropping everything to get to it.
Or maybe Nancy is dealing with some disastrous life issue: illness, divorce, etc. It's not always about the money (although, given Hollywood and reliving past fame/glories, most of the time it is about money).
Not to mention losing her brother recently... Loved him on Alice..

Exactly, there's no drama going on. Nancy has said many times over the years that she loved her character (Jo) from FOL, but she just doesn't want to play that role again and has specifically chosen to focus her career on movies, and other TV series (like The Division for example). She played the most popular character on FOL, and did it so well that she could have been type cast for life. I'm glad she was able to move on and play other roles and didn't end up being type cast like so many other actors have.
Exactly! Mindy has said the cast continues not to get paid appropriately for the syndicated reruns of the original show that still get played to this day. I think she said they don’t get paid at all which is lousy in terms of their contracts and not fair for them as grown women who really made a positive impact. …not cool. Contrast that to Jennifer Anistons Friends era who forced the network to pay them a million per episode. Must be a bit weird.
I will always cherish Facts of Life. It’s like a pre Sex & The City. It had a diverse cast talked about everything as a young adult women. I’m glad they did try to honour it cause it was a one of a kind show!

When TFOL originally ended, the four women made a pact that they'd never do a reunion and Nancy has definitely stuck to it. They all seem to be friends but she has never appeared in any of the Facts of Life reunions.
Nancy took care of her family before making money. Her priorities are with her family, Mrs. Garrett would be very proud of her
Nancy was on set for the Facts of Life from day 1 of season 2 - Series Finale and that’s all she owes. We are gracious that Lisa, Kim and Mindy still occasionally reunite. Whether money or whatever. Maybe her kids we’re having personal issues with schooling. Just because it’s December we don’t know what’s going on and maybe Lisa was covering but I’m sure if Nancy had the time or the studio was a block away she might ha f been more than happy. We don’t know, but we all know Nancy looks amazing today and doing well so whether she was there or not. Not like they did much anyway. Except Lisa who sang the theme song and was done.

She lives here in Texas on a Ranch just out side of the Texas Hill Country Area not far from Houston TX and for the Record She has been at those little Reunions over the Years and her 3 Children are from High School age to Elementary School Age so Yes I Believe She may have had Other Commitments and she still Works not always in front of the Camera but behind it as well.

I think everything about Nancy not being there has been pretty much answered by everyone else; so I will say this about her in-ear not working, I’m up on stage at my church a lot, granted as large as a church I go to, it’s not near as technical as Hollywood, but still it’s using the same type equipment. We’ve had times where glitches happen with microphones not working, monitors not working, feedback… etc. One time during a Christmas performance one of the spotlights which was supposed to automatically come on and track the soloist across the stage for some reason turned in the opposite direction, came on and started tracking across the back row of the audience! Technical glitches can happen at any time with even the most sophisticated equipment.
I watched facts of life back in the day enjoyed it very much as to why Nancy McKeon wasn't there there could be many reasons for it but the bottom line is Nancy chose not to do it so why don't you just leave it alone
A lot of this comes down to people having lives outside of Hollywood. I know high school reunions seem small in scale, but I have not been back to a single one, not 5 years, 10 years, 15, 20, or in this case, this year was 25. People talk, but I have a life and that is reality. To speculate why someone makes a guest appearance is speculative at best. We don't know and to think Lisa Whelchel knows is more speculative. Whelchel made it clear that all the women stay in touch with other in a US Weekly interview. So, that is about it and that is the facts of life.
I just cannot get over how AMAZING Blair/Lisa looks. She hasn’t aged a day and she doesn’t look all filled and pulled, it’s incredible.
Let's break down facts. Of course, any actor is paid to be anywhere. An actor is paid to cut the ribbon at the opening of a car dealership. How do you know she turned down a significant paycheck? It could have been $100,000. But I doubt it. How much did the big stars receive to be there? Not sure, but I bet they were sort of doing it out of the goodness of their heart. They were doing it for fun. So maybe Nancy was offered $50,000. At the most. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was talk show scale either. Obviously, she's not acting in any significant roles? She was in six episodes of an Amazon series called PANIC this season. That may not be amazing, but she is a working actor. Also, when you move, your children often change schools. That was the dumbest part of this condescending video.

Why dies qnybof this matter? These people are human just like us. They have ups and downs. Sometimes we have arguments with the ones we love, it happens! I think all these ladies were absolutely fabulous in the TV series. I miss it very much. It gave me an escape from my rough childhood, when it was airing on television in the 80s. Thank you for the wonderful memories, ladies!
I have news for Lisa, a lot of Southerns are vegan or vegetarians. I've been a (ethical) vegetarian (mostly vegan) since the 1980s and I'm from Louisiana.

I follow both Nancy and Lisa on Instagram. They interact in the comments regularly and that interaction seems genuine. They claim that they have remained friends ever since Facts, and I believe it. Just because she didn't show up for this doesn't mean they don't get along, or that there is some significant reason she didn't participate. There could be numerous legitimate reasons that, quite frankly, are no ones business but Nancy's. She doesn't belong to the public. Just because she was part of the show 30 years ago does not obligate her to appear now. Live, and let live.
I love Nancy and all the rest...
Nancy McKeon has never struck me as a drama queen. She does, however, strike me as a woman who never allowed Hollywood to mold her into their image. So yeah, I could totally see her choosing her family over making a quick buck for a "reunion" moment. I get it. The media types need something to talk about. I love the fact that McKeon has not responded. She doesn't have to. Live your life, girl.
I heard two of these girls when Fact's Of Life ended they never at the time wanted to reprise their rolls as The Fact's Of Life Actresses ever again. I think one of them was Nancy McKeon who felt that way about it the most. Might have had something to do with it? And I think the other one was Kim Fields might have been the reason her name wasn't mentioned in the credits. I might be wrong but may have had a lot to do with it among other things. They also sent Lisa Whelchel to a Fat Farm once. Because she was supposed to be like the Barbie Doll figure. They was the hardest on her about her weight. Really critical on her. But I think she is forever beautiful!
Microphones, ear pieces and other electronic equipment can be working one minute and not the next. You obviously have never worked in TV, these things happened many time working in television.
This event was likely planned several weeks if not months in advance. Nancy lives in Austin Texas which isn't that far from California. She had plenty advance notice to make sure she was available for this event. I don't care what moral principles a person might have, no one would refuse a paid gig unless something major happened or they were not invited. There is more to Nancy's absence than what is being said officially.

Nancy McKeon has never been one for appearing at a lot of these events. She did appear at the most recent Paley Fest celebrating the anniversary. And she lost both her father and brother within less than a year of each other. That is a significant loss and she has always prioritized her family first. Nothing wrong with that. And she has been appearing in a Hulu show most recently, which films in New York. She was on Mindy's podcast that Mindy started during the pandemic. Some people don't need to be in that light all of the time. It is all good.
which Hulu show has she been appearing in that films in NY? I saw her most recently on a Prime Video show, called 'Panic' which filmed in her current home state of Texas. Sadly I don't think that show got renewed for a second season. I don't see another show listed for her on IMDB, which is why I'm asking.

I agree. He even says he doesn't know where she lives...very plausible she didn't want to fly across country (if she lives East or Middle America) at this time. I just enjoyed seeing the three together.

Your bitterness about Nancy not being there almost sounds personal. While it was disappointing not to see her there, it's really no one's business. They have had other Facts of Life reunions in the past, and sometimes another cast member wasn't available. But they did all reunite for the TV Land Awards a few years back.
I love her that plays Blair Warner I think she's really cute even though she's 58 years old I'm the same age my name is John Madden from Pawtucket Rhode Island and I grew up watching her I was hoping I would marry her someday but but I always admired her it's amazing that she can fit in the same outfit Private Girls School big fan love you a lot John Madden

If you bother to pay attention Nancy mckeon has said in interviews she is taking a significant hia significant hiatus from the business because she's focusing on being a good mom
My understanding is that her last gig was very emotionally draining and it was also before she had her children and she would rather wait and focus on being a mom then being an actress and that's a good thing and other people have decided to do that in their careers

If Lisa was 58 during the production of this show, Nancy has to be pretty close to that age. I'm 63 (at the time I wrote this comment), and I've moved several times, and helped my kids move several times. Moving takes a lot out of you, especially the older you get. Helping your kids start school, especially at a new one, takes a lot out of the whole family. If you put all the above altogether, then I don't blame Nancy for not being in this show. (PS: I'm also a part-time TV & Movie Actor myself. Every role I've ever had needed a fair amount of preparation before filming. You don't just walk out in front of a camera and expect everything to fall perfectly into place all by itself.)

I loved Lisa then, and I love her now. We are the same age. I wrote to her a few years back. We exchanged a couple of emails, but I didn't mention having a crush on her.
They've done reunions before where Nancy we a no show. One was a movie if I recall.
Who knows why Nancy didn't show up. I did Miss her. Lisa is one beautiful lady.
