First thing I notice is how much more quiet the truck is.
Diesels make a racket.

@@znoop72 It's not the engine itself, it's the sound deadening the maker designs into the vehicle.

Steve…Awesome seeing you and Ms. Molly back out on the road. I really enjoy your videos. I did HVAC-R and boilers for the past 21 years after retiring from the Marine Corps, but back in January 2022 I had my third heart attack and had to retire. I was not ready for that, but watching your videos is like being back in the field. Take care and be safe.

I can't imagine the terror... like oh no, this is my 3rd strike, and game over... like World Series Game 7, tying run at 3rd base, bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, and you're at a 3-2 count, and then you swing and miss...

Without the diesel making all that noise you can hear all of the pipe and stuff rattling around in the back of the new truck. Glad your back look forward to more content.
I'm surprised he doesn't close the door, not so much for the noise as to keep more heat (and A/C in the summer) in the cab.
I think Miss Molly is happier to go back to work than you are. As for the piping on the floor of your truck, I think it is safer than being on a shelf. Glad you are on the roll again

Is good to see you and molly back in action I was missing your videos and beautiful truck so smooth and quieter.
I remember my plumber put his stock of pipes inside PVC pipes with screw on end caps. I think he used 4" PVC. He had a pickup truck with roof rack but you can do teh same on floor mounted to shelves legs. It would keep the noise down and pipes clean and secured.

When you started driving I was like hey, why isn't the engine running then, I was like oh yeah new truck... Great set up and great fix for the first job in the new truck was an easy one.
Steve, hope you see this:
I highly recommend getting all the fluids in the truck changed out. It's good preventative maintenance and you'll know where you stand with the truth maintenance wise. Specifically transmission fluid and Coolant.

Thank you for noting the scald valve setting. Mine was set too low for the home I moved into almost 8 years ago. Summer was fine; winter, not so much. Finally I got fed up and researched it and learned how to adjust this valve and now reasonable shower temps are possible anytime of year. I could probably adjust slightly back down but I don't have any young ones so it's not a priority.

Really enjoyed following your process in replacing the old truck and setting up the new one. your experience and common sense shows. Wondering if the brakes are a bit different, noticed you slowed a bit closer to a car ahead. Thanks again for all the videos!
If anything the brakes may be stronger since the truck is heavier higher load rating.
@@robertp7209 so it should brake the same with same strenght applied to brake pedal as the old truck?
@@Cheese_1337 no matter how big the vehicle is, the force to stop it is similar, probably an industry standard applied that considers elderly and whimin too.
