The man had a very very small filter between his mind and his mouth. It's not a bad thing and it can be entertaining as hell. Sadly, he would probably be crucified in today's hyper sensitive F1 world.
Sam M If he was winning we'd probably forgive him for a lot. We forgive ibrahimovic for saying all kinds of things because he always backs his words with his performances. I'm sure if Hamilton or Vettel had an attitude, many people would look over it. It's actually the older generation that seems to have a problem with racers living the party life these days, look at how much they rag on Ham for Instagramming all the parties and events he goes to.
Jesse Pinkman, Ha! You are probably very correct that he would be forgiven if winning. I will say this about drivers and the party life. If anyone has a problem with that they know nothing about the history of Formula1. Hell, why do you think Monaco is the oldest and grandest? The parties!!!! As for Hamilton, I think people only bitch about how much he enjoys himself because of the color of his skin.
Sam M Among the new drivers, Max is probably the most aggressive (on and off the pitch), I hope they don't end up coaching it out of him. F1 needs a showman right now to add some entertainment and bring new fans in.
I absolutely agree with that. Max has been a bit of a breath of fresh air much like his current teammate has been the "fun" part of F1 for the past several years. I almost hate they are teammates, however, as I fear they are walking down the road that will lead to them spoiling each others fun with what looks to be some serious competition if RBR keeps them together.
Thank you for this. I forgot just how funny Piquet was/is. Shame none of that charisma trickled down to his son, who has the personality of a plant pot. Either way Nelson is a legend, both in and out the car!
I love him, idk why here in Brazil people hate him, they only love Ayrton Senna; maybe because he died young... but Nelson Piquet is a legend... and he is ALIVE. I don't know why people only celebrate dead legends.
Maybe because you still don't understand that legends also die, you know? Piquet was never a role model, not in F1, much less in his private life with games outside the "four lines" to stay in the market.

An absolute legend. Just said what he thought. Nothing more nothing less. Just brilliant. I can remember his racing well. In a way Verstappen has the same mentality only has to watch his words more in current F1. But Piquet beats him with humour. What a confident guy. A legend.
I think he is probably top 6 especially when you consider how good he was in the first half of the 80s, he didn't have ultimate speed though but like prost could get the ultimate result, but he definitely lost pace after the crash he had at Imola in 87.
Thanks for sharing.

Sam M quite reminds me of somebody else
Thank you for this. I forgot just how funny Piquet was/is. Shame none of that charisma trickled down to his son, who has the personality of a plant pot. Either way Nelson is a legend, both in and out the car!
Pretty much like Will and Jaden Smith lol
Very nice video, a lot of sources that we can't find. Nelson was an awesome driver and would be a driver that I would like to see in actual days.
Brazilians don't hate Piquet, they think of him exactly like the rest of the world: a very talented bastard.
We Love fitipaldi, barrichelo, massa aswell
As a Brazilian, I totally agree with you. Thumbs up!

Kimi Raikkonen

An absolute legend. Just said what he thought. Nothing more nothing less. Just brilliant. I can remember his racing well. In a way Verstappen has the same mentality only has to watch his words more in current F1. But Piquet beats him with humour. What a confident guy. A legend.
Sacanajeiro pacas!!
All the fun of the F1 summed up in one man. Nelson Piquet was one of the greatest F1 one driver.... We miss this era.
Essa obra prima envelheceu igual vinho 👌🏻
Nelson Piquet is top three best drivers of all time.
I think he is probably top 6 especially when you consider how good he was in the first half of the 80s, he didn't have ultimate speed though but like prost could get the ultimate result, but he definitely lost pace after the crash he had at Imola in 87.
Totally agree. Top 3 easy! The things he did were stuff of legend! Great Piquet!
Piquet was asked who was better you or senna and he said I am still alive. True world champion quality Piquet is.
Piquet so funny 🤣😂
