In this video I traveled to Los Angeles to link up with my guy @imKay ! He trusted me with the keys to his Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory. Unfortunately there was a TON of traffic so we couldnt go crazy on the ride there but I was able to get a decent feel for the motorcycle and how it behaves. Kay was riding his beautiful Ninja H2 that looks amazing with those H2R wings and and sounds great with the Brock's Full Titanium Exhaust. The RSV4 sounds incredible with the SC Project exhaust as well.

Ayyyyye!!!! Glad to see another video/review on my bike! It looks like he has a Jester exhaust which is what I am getting for mine hopefully by next week. Yes it has NO electronics which is awesome. I have a quickshifter on mine that I installed and it’s money! Can’t wait to make it back to the states to film more content on mine! Beautiful bike indeed! Glad you enjoyed it! 💪
Oh forgot to mention the bike is adjustable. You can adjust the subframe and rear sets. I’m also 175lbs so it’s a freaking rocket ship. Those wheels come stock on it as well.

I love the fact the ktm has no electrics that's my kind of bike and you can change all the settings that's dope so I'm sure it's and awesome bike , me personally I'm not to keen on the shape of the single headlight or the colour , they need to ditch that orange as a main colour for sure , maybe a matte black one with a little carbon and a couple of orange touches could look nice tho 👌🏼

I really got to develop a keen understanding of the RC8 (an iconic sports bike) from this "review" in which the bike's ridden in slow traffic by a fellah with no body protection and not taken above 3k revs.

I got one, love it.
Mine has an issue currently with the chassis or something.
Speed wobble non stop so it makes it hard to enjoy how dialed in this bike is. It feels like it's on its nose and it's light, tells you what's going on.
But yeah I speed wobble everywhere at high speeds, and it'll give me tank slappers occasionally. I've never had a tank slapper until having like 4 or 5 on this one. It's at its best when I'm accelerating hard, it still consistently wobbles but it's softer. Everything is happening faster though so if it starts getting out of hand it can devolve fast.
It's worst cruising at high speed, it'll wobble harder and non stop and it makes mindless cruising a chore on high speed freeways.
But this video helped me really realize how stable it should be on freeways at high speed. Like I knew it was bad but the bike is solid, it's really bad rn I gotta fix it.

Did you ever trace the instability issue?
Mine was golden until last year when the fork oil went off NOTICEABLY which robbed the bike of its previously beautiful chassis.
However I never experienced any threat of a slap, even when caning down our moon cratered English country roads.

No still haven't found it. I got a tank slapper which I failed to save and ate shit at 130mph.
I'm going to fix the bike up and retire it from high speed riding, and just keep it because I love it.
I'll get another Honda for all the serious riding.

We have an rc8 1190 here at home ground but I don't usually consider it as a faaaaaast bike. Is it?
It's got close to 180 hp and has WAY more torque than 1000cc inline 4 engines.
You dont need to use your clutch while shifting. It is only needed when stopping and going. The rest of the time you can just blip the throttle while you shift. I never used my clutch on my 09 r6 except stopping and going.

I’ve ridden many bikes and it’s probably my favorite! Comfortable, powerful and very unique.
RC8 is a beautiful bike but too underpowered for my taste specially knowing they are not cheap. I think if they come out with a 200 plus hp Rc8 will sell pretty good.
Well back when it was released it was actually one of the top 3 most powerful bikes but compared to todays standards it falls behind slightly. In stock form it’s rated at 173hp and 105tq but in mine tuned is estimated at the crank to be 180hp and 110tq. I weigh about 193lbs and I’ve beat a few R1s and GSXRs as well as several others. I know if you build the bike even more they can reach 200+ hp.

Man if you can ride a super Duke! I loved my rc8 but the Duke is absolutely insane on another level. I had an rc8r for a while and loved there was no rider aids.

I was on the fence about this bike, it is expensive to repair it and service. KTM makes cool bikes but they have a few issues. Like head gaskets.
I’m the original owner and have put 26k on the odometer so far. No major issues. No reliability problems and service intervals are not too frequent. Been a outstanding experience so far!

The official line was KTM saw top flight sportsbikes as too dangerous for the road.
But to me, that translates as "We have concerns over future regulations and we can't justify the investment in a market where Ducati and the Japanese dominate."
