I do worry about my son who has autism and his understanding concepts that he can’t physically experience. Like ‘Jesus loves you.’ How can an autistic brain wrap their minds around such an abstract concept? He’s 14 and doesn’t understand why we pray. It’s so encouraging to read about Christians who are autistic.
This sounds exactly like my 11 year old son. He's high functioning autistic so verbal communication is difficult for him. However, he loves God so much. Frequently brings Him up in conversation. His favorite books are bibles, Bible studies, and devotionsls. Has his favorite praise and worship music. And he tries to show the light of Christ to others by caring for them.
Great parenting! I love this kid and I love the direction he's taking his own life! I hope my daughter meets a young man like this someday! ( She's the same age and loves the lord very, very much!) You go mom and dad! They set an awesome example!
And important thing that I found in my own spiritual journey... a lot of times when the word fear is used, it's been translated from a word that more accurately means 'in reverence of'. So, not that we need to be afraid but just a deep respect for the power God has. This is not everything, but why sometimes having a Hebrew in conjunction helps clarify ♡
Amen!!!! I love it. Parents, sit and read the Bible with your children every day. My kids and I read at least 3 to 5 pages every day. We easily ready the entire Bible through the year. This is why I love to say the shema every day with my kids. We are not jewish, but it reminds us daily to keep these words in our hearts and in our minds daily.

We still will answer for how we stewarded this responsibility, but they still can choose to live in the light or reject it. But God's Word doesn't return void. And He who began a work in [them] will see it to completion. 💗🙏📖
To fear god, doesn’t mean he’s to be feared literally, but that we should have a fear of disappointing him. For example- I’m not going to risk lying to my spouse because I don’t want them to get hurt by my lie, and I don’t want them to change their opinion of me. The fear of feeling guilty, or feeling shame will remind me to stay honest.
Its also actually a really good reading exercise for kids if you can read the bible fluently you can read a regular book twice as fast I have found but it could just be my dyslexic brain though lol
