@godfreyzilla8608 I can only agree with you. I am an 88 year old German and lived through the whole war as a child in Germany fearfully. At the end of the fifties I worked as a driver for the US Army in Frankfurt and had many American friends. In later years I traveled a lot in the USA and learned to appreciate the country and its people. I am still very grateful to the Allies, especially the Americans, that they did not give our Nazis a chance to negotiate shortly before the end of the war and instead forced unconditional capitalization, which ultimately ensured democratic conditions in our country, from which we still benefit today. You're not saying anything new. The Nazis still wanted to conclude a peace treaty with the Allies in April 1945, but thank God it turned out that Hitler and his gang were fought unconditionally to the last man, so that a new beginning was only possible here in Germany. After 5 years they said "we win the war" yeah right!!
...HEROES- EVERY ONE...
Yes, and many had to die because of a single criminal (see Huertgenforest) 33,000 US soldiers there alone.
As an 88-year-old German, I thank all the Americans who sacrificed themselves for us in World War II. Without them, there would probably still be no democracy in our country.
@@dannyhildebrand2505 ...I really like your attitude!!
I have to say that we Americans have our share of "rotten apples" too...
Another thing to remember is that if the Nazis had won WW2- they'd have turned the whole world into a great big execution yard- and not just for Jews- EITHER!!!
Hitler and and his gang had to be STOPPED-!!!
You're not saying anything new. The Nazis still wanted to conclude a peace treaty with the Allies in April 1945, but thank God it turned out that Hitler and his gang were fought unconditionally to the last man, so that a new beginning was only possible here in Germany. Nevertheless, many Nazis escaped after the war but are now dead. Today, like many other countries, we unfortunately have to record a new emergence of these fools. By the way: Europe can only hope that the mentally ill Donald Trump does not take the helm again. If Ukraine is left in the lurch, as he has announced, Putin will attack Moldova, Poland or the Baltic states next.
@@dannyhildebrand2505 My father at twenty years of age joined the Polish Army in September of 1939 and fought the Germans in the streets of Warsaw when the Germans invaded until he was taken prisoner. He told me only some of the things the Germans did like kicking men women and children to death in the streets with their heavy boots and laughing while they did it.
@@dannyhildebrand2505 ...WHY DON'T YOU STICK IT IN YOUR EAR?!!
IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT BIDEN CHICKENED OUT IN AFGHANISTAN AND LET AN AWFUL LOT OF US MILITARY EQUIPMENT FALL INTACT INTO ENEMY HANDS!!! I SURE AS HELL WOULDN'T CALL THAT A SUCCESS- AND IF THAT HAD HAPPENED WHILE DONALD TRUMP WAS PRESIDENT- HE'D HAVE BEEN CHASED RIGHT OUT OF WASHINGTON DC- AND THAT'S IF HE WAS LUCKY!!!
THE FACT THAT BIDEN IS STILL PRESIDENT TELLS ME ALL THAT I NEED TO KNOW!!!
The German faces look thin here.

I believe for the German nation a powerful inventive amongst others to continue resistance was allied insistence on unconditional surrender, a poss Versaille 2, the absolute shame of a great nation.
Not a man bun in the bunch lol!
Stupid comment
Be careful with these so called liberation footage.A lot-or at least 90%are US propaganda movie theatre films for the folks back home. Also note a lot of them are interspersed with traning footage as you can see in this one.G.Is look like they have just stepped out from barracks not a crease in their clothes! All sides used this stuff. You can usually spot the editing.
I know that, and many scenes have been reshot, but one thing is certain: they beat us. In the end, they were the winners despite heavy losses. The USA lost 33,000 men in the Huertgen Forest alone. I am glad that they defeated us and the Nazis (I was nine years old in 1945), after all there was the Marshall Plan and the awakening of democracy for our destroyed country. I experienced a decent and correct US Army in April 45 in our village in the Harz Mountains. I have never forgotten that.

Thanks.Yes agreed be careful with these footage takes.Ditto cropped photos published In the GIs newspapers and mags. They had to pass the censor before publication who cropped them mercilessly.
Winners?Losers?
Hmmm.!!!!
Just a pity the western Allies didnt accept walter schellenbergs offer of peace negotiations in 44.Then most of those 30,000 US casualties would have been alive.
Who won this war, Germany, America and the Soviets, who were tired on 4 fronts, captured the tired Germany, that is, Russia and America did not win the war.

Soundtrack? No spoken words from any human, epic Clik bait.
I'm sorry sir, I'm just an amateur filmmaker and not a professional. I was glad that I could use a few war sounds. These are normally silent films, which I'm sure you're aware of.

Americanov vs Americanov????
Funny, can’t find anything at all on any fighting in ww1 in Berlin.
The United States saved Europe from Russia in the first war and from Hitler in the second war. You would all be speaking German all over Europe if the United States hadn't come to save you. And the US was not invaded and never has, by Russia or Germany. It was just a favor. You are welcome. 😅

Ami Schwachsinn hoch 3
