Great video! I noticed threadlocker wasn’t used on the shifter mounting bolts. I too forgot that but got the bolts nice and snug. Have you or anyone else for that matter had issues not using threadlocker (blue) on this install? Am I going to have to redo everything?
Is there a way to identify the exact transmission you have in your car? I got mine swapped a while back with a 2001 mustang gt but don't know if it was an early or late model..
Hey Bill here's an idea, why don't I just make an appointment and have you install mine , so that I can continue to enjoy driving my car for years to come instead of having to wonder and worry about why the handle is in my hand, when I need to make a shift?!
Plastic clip stayed in trans when pulling out old. Didnt really snap in when dropping new shifter in like it did in video. Does anyone know of a stange poping sound when shifting? I suspect plastic clip is worn maybe?

Great vid but I'm shocked Steeda wouldn't include a new plastic ball for the bottom. That would serve 2 purposes. 1) plastic wears down over time and can easily crack when removing from old shifter. 2) if the old one does stay in the trans while removing old unit a new piece installed on new unit will give the installer a reminder to remove the old one before buttoning it up because two of them will not fit
I just bought this and now I can't install it because I can't get the shift knob off! I've tried everything. I took the shift out and put it in a vice, used locking pliers, leather strap wrench thingy. Spent way to much time on something that's supposed to be simple

I love my new edge gt. Much quicker and more fun than the 05 v6 and gets more or less the same fuel economy. Maybe a tiny bit worse but come on, it's a mustang
dude get the new edge GT, no question about it. my friend just made that mistake. he bought a 2005 V6 and sold it just months later because it's a piece of shit. actually get a 2003-2004 Mach 1 if you can afford it. should be able to find one for around $10k. They're much faster than the GT, quarter mile in the low 13s bone stock. the GT is about a 14 second car. 13.9 at best.

Thorough rtv application will never leak im sure of that.

Can i do the whole install from inside the car on a t56 03 cobra. i bought the steeda shifter for the t56
A couple bolts are a little harder to get to but yes you can.

Just a quick question. Doesn't the tr3650 have internal stops. I hear you have to back them all the way off or could cause transmission problems.
There are stops but set the stops on the aftermarket shifter.

id go with the Hurst shifter looks.nicer that one looks like a factory shifter once installed.
