Nice job mate the videos are getting better every time.
Thanks very much Nick. Any requests or things you think I should do to improve Subscriptions and views would be appreciated.
Hi, are you using a sander which has dust extraction? I have a huge problem with pigtails.
Yes we use the Festool sander with dust extraction
Looks awesome! I just did my first table and this video was very helpful!
Glad you found it helpful
Beautiful beautiful piece of art. I’ve recently filled voids in a spalted maple table and some epoxy soaked into the wood I didn’t intend for. If I finish by first doing seal coat(s) and then flood coat, do you think it would even out the look? I’ve tried sanding away the epoxy soaked in areas but assume they go further than I want to sand. Now I have darker blotches throughout and don’t think any other finish is going to even out the overall surface. Any suggestions please?
Yeah that can catch all of us out at times and it really depends on the timber. I have had to sand out on occasions but generally once you put another thin coat on it usually disappears
Where do you get the higher grit sandpaper from and great video I found it informative.
Many thanks for your kind words of encouragement re the video. I purchase all my Sandpapers from the Spray-store in Christchurch. The papers are all 150mm diameter and good price compared to the likes of Bunnings etc. They range from 40 Grit to 5000 grit that is a foam pad. Also get the top grade polish as I use it and love it. Only the best will do for my clients!!!
what pigment did you use great colour
This is a dye that is used in the manufacture of our resin. We will be selling this in 2021
@@ResinWoodTablesNZ is your Resin for sale yet and where can it be bought from? Cheers .

I really need help with our epoxy covered table! My husbands uncle who passed a year ago made us this table before he passed as a wedding gift because he wouldn’t be there for the wedding. It’s been over a year since we have had the table and we put a heavier object on it and it indented! We have no clue what kind of epoxy he used or his process. But this table means a lot to my husband and I have no clue how to get the indents out! Please help!

hello, what did you use for polishing ?
I would like to know this too, be nice for a reply!
I sand from 240 grit to 5000 grit then polish with a high quality car polish 3M and swirl remover
That's beautiful! You can also polish river tables with toothpaste did you know that?
Not my cup of tea but if that is what you want to do best of luck lol.
