For those going to Madrid, you can't miss next time: - B13 Bar (For really cheap tapa-style) - MadMAd Vegan (For burgers) - Los Andenes (Amazing peruvian food) - Pizzi & Dixie (Italian) There's amazing vegan options here!
"Romero Verde" is my favourite vegan spot in Madrid, from a vegan person who lives here 🌿 They are very friendly and conscious about season ingredients as well.
So weird and amazing seeing you vlogging in my city and the places I usually go to. Next time you cannot miss Los Andenes, the best peruvian vegan food you'll ever try. About Choose, the food is very rich and yeah maybe a tad too much for a summer night. I'm sure it was the heat. Thanks for this lovely video!
Bread with grated tomato is now popular across Spain, but it comes originally from Catalonia, whrere we call it “pà amb tomàquet”. It literally translates to “bread with tomato”, and this is the proper way to prepare it: cut some good bread in slices, and preferably toast them. Then, choose a tomato (we use “tomàquets del pa” specially for that, which are small and juicy), cut it in half and rub vigorously on top of the bread slices to impregnate with the juice. Finally an essential step: some extra virgin olive oli, and a bit of salt of you might. Opcionally, you can also rub a halved raw garlic clove across the bread, emphasizing in the corners, right before the tomato step, which would add an aromatic touch if you like. You can eat it on its own and it’s delicious, but also you can top it with any salty ingredient of your preference. Doing this to your toast will easily elevate the recipe. Hope you try it, enjoy :)
Yeaah tomato tostada is a very common breakfast to have in Spain especially along the east coast and the southern regions haha. Grew up eating that for breakfast almost all my life ^^
glad to see you liked my home city! love tierra burrito, me and my friends usually eat at one of those on fridays after school :) sorry for the hot weather haha
How could you not know spanish coffee is one of the best girll??!!??😂❤️ (also super excited you were in my city🥰🥰) and for recommendations, you can go to pizzi dixie, viva chapata, vega alamo, distrito vegano... hope that helps :))
The Martinez Juice Company is one of my favourite places in Madrid. It was born in my city, Almeria, a region in Andalusia. You should taste another açai bowls, the dragon fruit one is not even the best! They have multiples options in juices, smoothies (some of them with protein powder) and bowls. If you come back to Madrid, you definitely have to go there!
I went to Santa y Pura when I was with my family visiting Madrid and they first didn't realize it was all vegan XD When my granpa found out he was super disappointed but in the end he really enjoyed his meal! It was super good :) everyone loved it so it's enjoyable for non-vegan people as well.
Amazing video, Mina 😍😍 I’m from Madrid and it makes me so so happy you got to enjoy such amazing food and time in the city! I’ve found so many places I didn’t know, so thanks! ☺️
For the tomato on bread (pa amb tomaquet in catalan) you cut the tomato the other way jajajajaja the same happenned to my international friends when I told them to cut the tomato in half! And the most traditional way to do it is not by grating it but by smashing the cut tomato directly on the bread so you squish everything out 🍅🥖🥰
I would say to rub the tomato instead of smashing it. But yeah, that's basically it (+ olive oil and salt, and optionally garlic) and it's delicious! (M'encanta trobar-me a una altra catalana per aquí!)
I’m from Madrid and I would highly recommend Mad Mad Vegan, Freedom cakes and, specially, Vegamazing doughnuts, best doughnuts I’ve ever had.💛 Also, I loove honest greens, la oveja negra and santa y pura from your list.
I love bxiii, they have traditional dishes (bocadillo de calamares, tortilla de patatas...) that are delicious, super friendly staff and affordable prices. Fell in love. Also, delish vegan doughnuts is my fave place in the world 😂
Hi! Another fellow madrileña here! So glad you tried the cronuts from chök!! They usually have different flavors and the pistachio and chocolate ones are to die for. For amazing vegan burgers there's Thunder Vegan too :)
I just made the tomato tostada! I added a lemon pepper seasoning into the mix and I couldn't believe how freaking good this was because it's such a simple recipe! Adding it to the 'summer-sun-foods to make' list now
Ramen Kagura (there are 2 locations in Madrid, one of which is in Chueca). It’s not strictly vegan, but I have dreamed about their Vegan Tantanmen ever since I had it. Get it cold in the summer. They also have a great lunch special
i'm so glad you enjoyed madrid!! i definitely discovered some places of my own city thanks to this video!!! a really nice place is B13 Bar, they have a lot of tapas style and traditional foods, it's fully vegan and they don't accept credit card (it's usually full on weekends bc it's small and cheap)
Omg can't believe you were in Madrid, I wish I had bumped into you! You went to some great places, I also recommend Bite Me, they do amazing doughnuts and breakfast bagels and Pizzi Dixie is the best pizza ever 😍
Omg I live in Madrid and didn't know many of these places! Definitely had the same experience at Choose, like the food was great but heavy on your belly hahaha
Love your content so much! My favorite series are the ones where you make food from a show or series. So I would love to see more of those. Ever thought of doing Star Trek or Star Wars?. Could be weird and fun! Can't remember if you've done Lord of the Rings! That would be very interesting!
I enjoy your videos so much, Mina. This one was really interesting! As a Madrid born and raised girl being vegan for the past 7 years o so i really enjoyed your vegan journey through the city. You have discovered me some new spots i didnt knew about. Only if i knew you were at madcool as well haha been there the three days near the Delish Vegan Doughnuts stand and didnt see you! Anyway, lovely video!!
My Madrid recs as a veg living in Spain other than what you mentioned: Bloved (a little expensive, but some of the best croquetas you’ll get in Spain) Mudrá Distrito Vegano (amazing vegan chorizoooo) Freedom cakes (more of a cafe) Mad mad vegan (I’m not a big fan of the calamares, but the burger and chips are awesome)
In general, the whole country has very good coffee. About the bread with tomato, as someone said here, it's not from Madrid, but from my region, Catalonia, where it is called "pà amb tomàquet" (bread with tomato). It was originally prepared like that in order to not waste dried bread, so it could be wet and "eatable" again. It's one of the best things on earth, so simple and easy to combine. My favorite combination is with a good Spanish tortilla (potato omelette) on it! (Vegan of course).
hey Mina, glad you enjoyed Madrid. Next time please visit Romero Verde, for me it's the best vegan restaurant, all made from scratch. Also don't miss out Distrito Vegano. Best dougnuts are in Vegamazing and for something sweet out of this world Dolce & Vegana!!
I love your vids as always so cozy🤍recently I tried a recipe I want to share tofu “egg” salad not sure if you tried it before it’s yum, cut firm tofu into tiny cubes, some Dijon mustard, vegan mayo, chives, black salt and a pinch of turmeric for that color! and then add it to sandwiches!
Can you recreate foods from the movie Eat Pray Love? Also if you could re-create those jackfruit tacos you had in Madrid? They sound so good! Love your videos :)
Love the video, everything looks so yummy, but by the abundance of foods with acai I would like to encourage everyone to learn about the origin and harvest of acai berries. Super big problem with child labor, inhumane work and lack of labor protections etc. :/
It's a mixture of using google maps and instagram! I ended up staying in different locations throughout the city and would also just wander around and look at the cafes closest to me
Off topic BUT did you know Victorinox make those knifes in pink? I got them couple of months ago. Used to always get black and orange but pink is much more vibrant. Also so sharp when new (have cuts on fingers to prove it)
I need to ask, as I struggle a little with spending money on myself and indulging - how much money did you spend ? Cause it looks all amazing but also pretty expensive as everyday meals.. I just want tto know how to surpass the blockage in me.. Anyways, I love your videos
The audio style in this video is sooo weird to me, like you're trying to sound ASMR but it's just a travel vlog lol kinda boring like a mosquito buzzing near my ears 😂 Anyway, very helpful tips, will help me a great deal when I go to Madrid later this year, thanks!
For those going to Madrid, you can't miss next time:

The ‘chicken’ burger from MadMad is the BEST one I’ve ever tried. Currently waiting for my Uber’s delivery 😋
Great,thanks a lot🙂
A video on meals you can't live without would be cool!
great idea!

I'm Italian and the only one I see digest arancini and carbonara in scorching hot summer are southern Italy people. They are really built different
We need a video where you make barbie themed foods which are all pink!! 😍
omg yesss, that would be so cool!
She did one on tiktok !
5:28 That one is just my fav in Chök!

I have tostadas con tomate everyday for breakfast🤍 it is super common here in Spain! I usually sprinkle some pepper on top
There are so many vegan places in Spain I did not know that! Thank you for sharing all the addresses! 😍
Grocery vlog included with a budget friendly what I eat in a week, please?

Tip for the tomato toast you can put it into a sieve for a couple seconds just to drain a bit of the juice so it’s not so watery!
Video was great, but the running ducks were my personal highlight🥹😂🦆
My Madrid recs as a veg living in Spain other than what you mentioned:

I have heard good things about that one!
Can you recreate foods from the movie Eat Pray Love? Also if you could re-create those jackfruit tacos you had in Madrid? They sound so good! Love your videos :)
You should watch Tabitha Brown’s vegan cooking videos on UA-cam, she makes lots of recipes with jackfruit, all vegan recipes. 😊
An awesome of everything beautiful and gorgeous Mina ate while in Madrid Spain. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞 Mina.
I'm actually going to Madrid next week so your video is extremely helpful! thank you (:
perfect timing then haha

I went to the same festival! Lots of vegan options

Hahhaa 🥲
I think dragon fruit taste kinda like watermelon, nothing to write home about
Dragonfruit schmeckt nach nichts, auch die Pinke nicht. Vllt irgendwie leicht nach Kiwi. Sehr enttäuscht 🤣
ja oder hahaha
Self starvation in Madrid.
Wow, everything looked so good 🤩🤩🤩
