    Just rewatched all eight episodes of the remodel videos this afternoon. Was again impressed by all the heavy lifting and long hours Marc did and all the long hours and hard work Julie did. The whole crew did a fantastic job especially your designer Jane Brown. I still hold to my original remarks. So Impressed. You guys knocked it out of the Park.

      Norman Gebhardt thank you so much Norman. As Julie mentioned, I really appreciate you taking the time to write. And thanks so much for the compliment. Being acknowledged for my design skill is a wonderful addition. Thank you. Making it look so easy people have no idea the amount of time and strategy that goes into creating a space like CC or any space for that matter. I love making homes and spaces spectacular places to live. Thank you. Have a wonderful day. Jane

    Oh my gosh it's breathtaking. It doesn't look like a RV. It looks like a apartment. Or a high end price RV like a Prevost. Now how much swinging will those hanging chandeliers do when you go down the road especially on some rough roads? Come do my Class A now that you are done.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  5 років тому

      We agree. Totally feels like a luxury apartment. We have been able to find quick and easy solutions for keeping the chandeliers safe during travel. We will share a bit more in our related blog post. Gorgeous work.
    A lot to be proud of there.On a different note.
    I'm disabled so very limited in my capabilities, I love the lifestyle you enjoy! I'm planning (hoping dependent on health) to buy a class A and travel my silver years away. The question I have for you and all who may read this is do campsites have staff available to help set up the campsite? ( hoses, blocking levelers, rugs, furniture, unhooking toad etc...)
    Obviously there'll be a cost but do they offer that kind of service, or are you on your own.
    I follow several other full timers on You tube and will re-post this there as well.
    Thanks so much for your feedback and keep the great videos coming.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  5 років тому +1

      Thank you. As for your question. I know we see a lot of accessible sites, but we are not aware if they often have staff on site that can assist. I am sure that there are some that do, but would definitely want to call ahead. It would really help to have an RV with very simple set up, like a motorhome. Also, we find the RVing community to be very supportive and helpful. So even if there isn't staff available, I imagine that you would find many helpful folks on the road. Definitely make simplicity a focus in your RV choice though. We have met a number of people on the road with disabilities, but most travel with somebody, not solo.

    God your blessed you kids when he brought that classy, beautiful young lady and your lives.
    The reveal shows that y'all did a lot of hard work to bring it to what it is.. Liike she said hard work and dedication it's worth it in the end. What really brought that coach together was her touch of classiness that she put just in the right spots to bring it all together. That's a sign of a very good designer that knows just where to put the right things without being Overkill... Very nice, proves that one doesn't have to settle with the mainstream (not offensive to anybody and just barely tolerable to everybody) pre-modern design in class A's. And it doesn't distract from the before/after comparison that only the after images were highly processed HDRs - no preferential treatment there 😉

Our photographer friend Gabriela was not available when we first bought the coach for original photos. And we felt the finished product was much more worthy of capturing the high quality photos. And, truth be known, we did actually capture some high quality video of the RV before the renovation., but the files were lost. I love the lighter coloring throughout. As I had said before, I hate all the "earth-tones" that seem so prevalent in RVs over the past decades. The RV was a lighter color before but lacking in pizzazz. It now POPS! However, I noticed that your before shots were with the blinds pulled and the after was with them open. The hard work of Jane, Julie and Mark, and all your other friends and helpers certainly paid off; being mindful of all the little details really does make it a "home on wheels." One thing, though, I am concerned with the light fixtures on either side of the bed hitting something (while traveling) and getting broken. Do you have a way to secure them during travel days? One final, "Congratulations!" and "Thanks for taking us on this journey, guys!" The series has been a blast! Y'all Be Safe!

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  5 років тому

      Thank you. Fun story about the mural. No, we didn't see you blushing :) We were initially concerned about keeping the light fixtures in teh bedroom secure too. But we found a super simple and quick solution. We have small bungee cords that hold it to the cupboard face so they don't budge. It was worked great.

    I am catching up on watching your videos and I just binge watched all 8 episodes of the RV renovation. Even though I have seen it in person and loved it, I am blow away by all the work you guys did. I am so impressed with the entire team you put together and you all worked so well together. Jane and the Hays' were amazing! I actually cried with you during the final bedroom reveal! It is so special and looks like a high end hotel room. I have to say the bathroom was one of my favorite spaces. I loved the mural which added such a rich touch. I am so happy for you both. The quality of the videos were first class and very informative. Great that you found links to the wallpaper. Here is a link of many of the other items we used in the renovation. www.amazon.com/shop/rvlove?listId=2F1ZEKQNXKWWL As for the blue tile. We bought that at HomeDepot. The white marble tile was from Cost less Carpet and tile. They are a chain of stores in the northwest USA.

    I'm coming in 2 years later & this is still a very trendy, beautiful look. Am I the only one who wondered what kept the round base of the dining table from tipping on the slide step?

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you. Glad you like it too. As for the table... For one it was relatively heavy, but we also had a groove opening low in the dinette that allowed it to move, but if it started to tip, it would be caught by the underside of that groove in the dinette, which was screwed down, so it could not tip over. Great question! -Marc

    I was not available to watch this when it came out, but I got up a four o'clock this morning specifically to see it when I have time to pause it when different views came on the screen trying to put a composite overall picture of the renovated RV together. I am sure glad I did instead of rush watching it without having a mental picture of how the whole picture looks and pulls together. We are a tall family, six footers plus, with the exception of our daughter who is not much taller than Julie. This has made me sensitive to the necessity of accommodating shorter legs with comfortable seating where feet have a platform to rest upon without dangling, where everything is not out of reach requiring climbing on step stools to reach items in common use, where shorter arms can reach the back of counters etcetera where things tend to migrate. I hope to get to see Julie using her kitchen, sitting in a comfy easy chair, sitting at a desk sized right for her, using the vanity area comfortably reaching everything. All of you have worked hard to make this happen. CC sure has the looks. It looks like she has functionality. I hope she is a comfortable home for a long long time to come!! I am looking forward to the travelogues that are to come. As I commentated in the first renovation video, Jane must be a very very special friend to come all the way from Australia to lead your renovation. Not many people would do that, even for a really good friend! She is an extremely special lady to be doing this for you!!! You have to be extremely special people for her to want to do this for you!!!

      We appreciate that you have such a good understanding of being mindful of the height accessibility restrictions. Even more complicated for you and your family since most are so tall. Fortunately, I am just average height, so we only need to think of average and lower.
      Thank you again for all your wonderful comments and support.

    Hi, I catch your videos regularly and always look forward to the next one. About your renovation, as I look at all the accessories, accessories on the walls and counter/shelf spaces, I have to wonder if after 30 or 60 days you find that it's inconvenient or unmanageable to store many of those items so they don't fall or break or roll around. I also give thought to the round table you have as a dining table. How are you going to cinch that down when on the move so it doesn't tip over and roll around? Will it become problematic? You really re-imagined your space and it's great to hear you talk about how much you enjoy it. Happy travels! (Get that next video up!)

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  5 років тому +1

      Thank you. Glad you have enjoyed it all so much. Good question on how it all travels. We have actually been living with the finished result for over six months now. We have quick and easy travel solutions for the chandeliers that take about 10 seconds each. All of the other decorative items on the walls are screwed in place so they never move. And the table is so heavy that it remains in place too. Just to be safe, we designed the new dinette with a cutout underneath that the base of the table stays under. So if it ever did tip, it would be caught by the dinette and remain in place. We have driven a lot of curvy roads, and even had to do an emergency stop with everything as is, and nothing moved.

    Really beautiful. You all did so much in such a short time . Kudos to all. Is it an optical illusion that the round table and the L shape bench is suspended above the floor?

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  5 років тому

      Thank you. Yes, it was a lot to accomplish in so little time. Yes and no about the table and bench. The slide out area in this coach goes straight in and out. It does not drop down to be level with the floor like many newer RVs with slides in that area. So, it leaves a few inches to step up into the dinette area. We designed the edge of the dinette to overhang the edge a bit. But the bulk is on the slide area floor, so no risk of tipping.

    The entire project looks simply stunning!! Jane did an amazing job! What an amazing friend to travel that far to do this!
    It absolutely looks like an apartment on wheels!
    Enjoy it!
    Until next time...

      Thank you. Yes, Jane is a great friend and did a wonderful job guiding this renovation, and many of our previous makeovers in stick and brick homes.

    WOW! CC looks absolutely beautiful, light and inviting. She's comparable to a high end Newmar coach 👌

    Please don't ever stop moving forward, your dreams and visions now belong to all of us. It gives me a meaning and direction to follow yet I know it will be a challenge to ever beat! If you don't have a goal in your journey in life, you all just gave us a bench mark to achieve. WOW!
