I have the PCR version of the CZ ... a bit lighter with an alloy frame and a decocker which l prefer. Great gun. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Never thought about these two competing, but I can see how they do. That CZ is sexy!
It should be noted that nearly all of the CZ components can be modified/upgraded easily. My wife and I shoot and carry full size CZ 75’s, P-01, and Compact CZ’s. The best mods are a CGW #13 hammer spring/reduced firing pin spring, and a set of sights. Grip panels are available to fit all hand sizes, and most are very inexpensive. 👍👍👍💥
Have metal and polymers striker guns. Including many Czs. In all honesty, other than shooting them at the range, I never carry my metal guns. I live in Florida. 90 percent of the days I'm wearing shorts and at shirt. Polymers are much lighter and generally thinner. They are easier to conceal. In general, the polymers have very few rust issues.
Metal guns make my soul all warm and fuzzy
you can use the sp01 base plates- they close the gap on those mags.
the width of the cz can be slimmer with flat grips or wider as you prefer.
I have two p365’s & love them,but I also have the CZ compact trio the p01 omega the 75 D Pcr and the 75 compact (all metal) the CZ’s are by far the most enjoyable pistols to shoot and they all carry very well. There are times when very discrete carry is essential and I will carry the p 365 but the CZ’s do get more carry time for me.
Shot them both and IMO, no comparison. The perceived recoil on the CZ is about 1/2 of the Hellcat's...and while both are quality, I shoot much better with the CZ.

The CZ is a stylish retro kind of gun, and I heartedly approve. It isn’t a blocky, chunky flat black “tactical” ugly duckling which is all there today. Even though it is a little on the heavy side, I carry mine in a Kramer horse hide IWB at four o’clock. The weight is not the issue you might think it would be and I’m not a big guy at 5’7”. Also, the gun is crazy accurate with much less felt recoil compared to my Glock 17. It is a great gun.
There’s very few CZ 75 based pistols that I don’t own and after owning them they’re pretty decent guns but aren’t the bargain that they used to be. The factory springs in them vary greatly in quality and I’ve had several gun break springs with relatively few rounds through them. If you’re carrying one to defend yourself with I would suggest spending a little money and replacing the springs with some from Cajun Gun Works or another company that offers quality springs.
Good job on comparing the two very different but same pistols. the CZ; fits my hand better. I also prefer hammers over striker. when putting it back in the holster I keep my thumb on the hammer, if the hammer starts to move, I know something is wrong.
Trigger is EXCELLENT on my CZ.... really sweet shooter
Of all the guns I own, my CZ's are my favorites, and get carried the most. Metal reigns supreme.

I own both these weapons. They both have distinguishing characteristics. Both excellent carry weapons. I do not utilize the obtrusive sight on my HELLCAT PRO. The iron sights work very well.
CZ all day, everyday and twice on Sunday.

I rotate my carry pistol with several micro 9mm pistols but usually carry a Ruger LCP2 as it the fastest, lightweight, and easiest one to drop in your pocket and takes less than 5 seconds to do. I can also pocket carry my P365 in a Boraii trigger guard holster as well but I do notice the extra weight & size over the LCP2. Carrying IWB takes more time & effort but you can carry a much more accurate and reliable pistol such aa my modified P365XL with a Wilson Combat grip module, Holusun 507k red dot replacing the rear sight with a bit of white nail polish on the back of the red dots rear backup sight makes for good enough accuracy if the dot goes down (Love this as it keeps the dot window far away from carbon fouling, unlike my Shield Plus), True Precision 4.2" SS threaded barrel with no peephole as I love the power from a 4" plus barrel, with a Lakeline micro compensator, Tactical Trigger mod, & Mag guts spring and follower for 14 rounds in my 12 round mag, in a Clinger 2 clip IWB holster with their comfort pad for a very comfortable and concealable 4 O'clock carry. As you can tuck the shirt in it you don't even need a cover garment. But I also carry my PC Shield Plus with its 4" ported barrel with fiber optic sights and like it slightly better than the P365XL. But no optic as the window carbons up after 3 rounds fired as the dot window is right over the breech face and barrel peephole. But even without an optic with its better trigger I shoot it about the same as my P365XL with the red dot. And no mods are needed for the Shield Plus (except for the dot location which you can't change - therefore no dot because of the carbon fouling.
What does this huge comment have to do with the subject of this video?
Both offerings/brands are solid imo. Both tools have positive and challenges. CZ needs an optic option, but I prefer the decoder version for sure. Light rail is also good and other versions have that. The HC is lighter and has the optic plate, but no manual safety (just my preference for carry). Test both and rock the one you enjoy most.
You can get a manual safety version of the hellcat.
This is not close. Size, thickness, weight, SA vs DA/ SA, hammer vs striker, recoil. Very very different guns
CZ 75 Compact , Is a vary safe gun with the thumb safety. More than the other models . You have: two sear notches on the hammer, Firing pin block, Thumb safety.
And if you want to go double action there is safe to put it on the first notch.
"put your finger between the hammer and pin pull and release the trigger DO NOT REMOVE YOUR FINGER FROM THE HAMMER UNTIL YOUR TRIGER IS RELEASED. and smoothly
remove your finger from between the hammer. Do not try to use the two finger pitch method can slip.
How does the Hellcat Pro trigger compare to the original Hellcat Gen 1 trigger?
Hellcat Pro trigger is excellent in my opinion. Hellcat pro is my daily carry. Best grip, best sights for me.
The Pro's trigger is much improved and far superior. The trigger on the original HC I'd replace with an Apex Trigger.
Feel like the P01 Omega is a better carry option than the 75 compact.
Exactly opposite for me. I own both. CZ 75 C is a much better shooting gun. Plus trigger on Omega is horrendous.
@@bloodycrepe interesting. I figured the triggers would be quite similar. I guess I’m not the right guy to judge, I have the Cajun kit in my P01 and it’s excellent now. I only thought the P01 would be a slightly more versatile option, considering it has the light rail.
@@mi_cheap_guns2925 Cajun kit must make a big difference. I had McCarbo kit intalled but I found the pull was way too light so I put stock parts back in.
I personally don't need a light on a carry gun so I prefer a firearm without a rail. It has better balance. Although I wouldn't mind to pick up a steel frame P01 if I ever find one for a reasonable price.

CZ-75C...be still, my heart. The CZ-75 is a time tested, classic pistol design, one of the first wonder-nines.
As a dinosaur and a FUDD!, my first choice is the CZ by a mile; I much prefer the DA/SA lockwork along with the thumb safety. Interestingly, Back in the '90s, Springfield Armory sold a CZ clone made by Tanfoglio as the P9. I had a compact model, essentially the same as the CZ75C, whose safety could be applied with the hammer down, in DA.

Never heard anyone describe the Hellcat Pro trigger as a nice, short, crisp and clean break. I may be a bit of a trigger snob, but the amount of creep really takes away from an otherwise excellent carry gun.

Easy call the Hellcat Pro for carry. Hammers just scare me. For the nightstand or range no issues.
Why do hammer guns scare you? If anything they'd be better for a self defense scenario in the very unlikely event you'd need a second primer strike. If you need second primer strike with most striker fired guns then you're going to have to rack the slide and cycle another round which takes significantly longer when seconds count.

@@34dawgsgo fair enough. Not making any jabs but being afraid of a hammer dropping on it's own is nonsense and sounds like fear based out of FUDD lore.
The CZ 75 PCR has a decocker lever which allows you to drop the hammer to the half-cocked position without even touching the trigger. In half cocked position it makes the gun double action and drastically increases the trigger pull to that of a double action revolver. Combine what I just mentioned with a hard CCW holster and your CZ 75 is now just as safe to carry as any other gun that you're not afraid to currently carry.
@@CasualTeeOfWar Have an older 92FS with a decocker. I don't mind hammers at all as long as they are not on my person. Simple as that.
