I’m mostly just astounded that you can make lovely and useful things in spite of the messy chaos! I’m a neat freak so this just boggles me, but it’s also great to see how others make things work for them!

I just did that same thing. Finished up today, Monday. I do have 2 sorts. One is by color + the other is by categories (seasons, birthdays, florals, specialty papers, words + phrases, vacations + travel, etc. I made junk journals while staying in place. First one. Three signatures. Not quite finished decorating with that yet. 72 pages. I love crafting! Love wat hing you! You are an inspiration to me. I'm 74 years young and a widow of 15 years... I've got time! LOL!🤟🙏🎶💐

Oh, Pam! You do make my day. I watch you first thing in the morning with my coffee. Your channel is my happy place. And once again, you’ve inspired me. I have four storage boxes of scraps that I just can’t throw away so today I’ll grab a bunch and just glue and sew and staple! I loved Queenbeeism! And I could see your tearing ruler. I found myself saying, “near your left hand, Pam”. Oh, so much fun!
Thank you, once again and bless you for your warm, funny, generous spirit. I wonder if you know how many people you bring joy to. ☺️💕💕💕

your scrap pile reminds me of my own. I have crafted all my life,it runs in my family to be a maker so I can't help myself. Many years ago my husband found a cartoon in a magazine that he said summed up my addiction. It was a picture of an open drawer, and inside was a small ball of string with a tag that read string too short to save. Of course I still have it along with all my other treasures. By the way my daughter just recently told me that if I die she isn't going to keep all the little pieces of paper that I have glued together. She is so funny,She will keep them. She is as bad as me!

WOW!! This was very motivational and inspiring. Thank you for that. Also, I once threw away a small pair of fussy cutting scissors because they got buried in a pile of off-cuts. I was sad. :( But, I had a spare pair.
So, it all worked out. Apparently, I didn't really need the second pair. :/
Thank you, Pam. I loved the ideas and enthusiasm!
    Take care of yourself!

Fantastic I am doing a bust my stash and this gives me the incentive to now bust all the scraps made from busting my stash. Going to try some of this. Thank you

Those tiny tiny scraps can be blended to make homemade paper. I have a small bucket that I stick those into for future paper making.

I adore content like this. Scissors, a pile of scraps, glue stick. Retirement = Kindergarten.

Watching this just reminded me of an afternoon when Kidlet was little. I was not a "natural" Mom, I had a lot of insecurities and anxiety around wee ones. [Once they hit age 3 I'm OK, it's just the littles that scare the crap outta me and no it's not different when one is your own spawn] But I digress.
    --
Friends were new to town and had to go out adulting for mortgages and lawyers and stuff. Their daughter was the same age as ours and I volunteered to watch the girls. The other lady is a "Mother Mother" and had never left her kid [they were around 2 years old] and she knew I was a little freaked out but we both put our big girl panties on ... "it's only a few hours".
    --
The kids and I had a blast. I had no idea what to do so we sat at the table, I pulled a big stack of paper out, some kids safety scissors and some glue sticks. I cut a circle and glued it to a large 14 x 20 sheet that was the base of our thing. So that killed an hour as they wrapped their brains around scissors and glue sticks. Then I was getting bored so I tried to see if I could make things go vertical ... and time flew by. We snacked, we cut, we glued, we got out the big fat kids washable markers.
    --
The door opened, the real adults returned and they had been gone for four hours and oh my gawd the gorgeousness of our creation was towering smack dab in the middle of the table. Us 3 girls were grinning from ear to ear, the adults had arched eyebrows. "Whatever floats your boat".
    --
Life went on, we had a mini-reunion when the girls were 18 or 19 years old and they both remembered the creation. It was a blast hearing from their older minds what their toddler recollections of that afternoon were. The basic gist was "no rules, we could do whatever we wanted. It was fun".

That's what this video reminds me of. Thanks for tickling up a great memory 😊

So much reckless abandon all over the place🤣 I totally enjoyed this video but I'll have to work up to this. I love the idea of making bases, that will really help me to not get lost in the details. Not inking is super hard isn't it? I will also make myself repeat (several times over!) The part about how they are just scraps so it's ok to play and have fun. I'm over here saving scraps from 15 years ago🤦‍♀️ but my scrap bin is like a tour through memory lane!

How is it that we start out to diminish our scrap pile, but somehow we end up with more scraps? They multiply when we turn our backs! I just know they do! LOL! TFS the inspiration, Pam!
