I think the biggest pro, is the fact Tesla has the largest public charging network. I use to own a KIA EV6, it was headache to find a charger for it. Those charges mostly came in only pairs, broken, poorly maintained or vandalized. That lasted two monks, I just purchased a Model Y long range.
You left out “Auto Pilot” which is a game changer for me on long trips. Also just click the right button on your steering wheel and tell your car to “turn on the wipers”.
Hi Salinya, Great video. My wife and I are planning to buy a new Model Y in December. Tired of the gas prices in California. Thanks for being so helpful!
That was a great video. I got a 2024 Model 3 RWD two weeks ago and I absolutely love the car and have had no issues with it yet. Owning a Tesla definitely makes it hard to want to drive a gas car again.
Salinya, think about getting your front bumper PPF (Paint Protection Film). I got my Tesla done here in Cali for $400 and I have zero rock chips on my front bumper after 3 months of ownership. Looking forward to your future content. 🙌
Hey! Thanks for the video. I have been watching a lot of videos lately so yours popped up. I’m scheduled to pick up my 2024 Model 3 white on white this week and I’m so excited! I have never done this much research when buying a car. I can’t wait to experience everything this car has to offer.
I picked up my refreshed M3 LR in stealth grey black interior in March first EV. I absolutely love this car. It literally puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I love the acceleration it's ridiculously fast, it's comfortable , it's quiet with no squeaks rattles or creaks. I love having no stalks, ambient lighting and cooled seats are awesome especially in this heat of Phoenix. I love the tech and minimalism they are fantastic. Software updates are awesome too. I am only getting Tesla, car is so much fun. Congrats🎉 on your car. I agree with you about the customer service 😂😂 they are really hard to get a hold of and several times they never got back to me but I knew what I was getting myself into as my dad has a Tesla but I still love the car despite the " quirks " Oh and the day I picked up my car it was very underwhelming !!! I just bought a 50,000 plus car and literally no one even came up and asked if I needed help 🤔🤔 for several minutes. Then I didn't even get a paper with my name on it on the dash , no one really congratulated me , there was no excitement it was just another day at the Tesla showroom it felt like. Disappointing but still love my car. Phoenix AZ

I’m at 2 months ownership One of biggest cons for me is a lack of a spare emergency tire. But you can order one online. But still lol. And of course the biggest pro is not buying gas. Double pro if you have a level 2 charger at home.
My guess is that they don't have a spare bc of range. They'd have to give the car a slightly lower range and they would have to make a place for it. Just a guess.
I've had the Model Y LR for 1 month. My biggest issues right now: #1: wipers in auto mode are sub-par. #2: It's ridiculous that the Model Y doesn't come standard with homelink for garage/gate door openers. Yes, I know about the $350 purchase or the MyQ purchase/subscription.
Not sure what you mean by Tesla number and prompts? The best way I got a hold of Tesla was contacting my local service center and they provided me information.
It seemed much harder for me to contact someone. I was told to text a number and they would eventually call me. I am glad it has been easier for you though!
Mine are on auto on my m3 and they work great. You can also do a voice command for the wipers or press the left side button on the wheel and choose wipers and then the setting.
My boyfriend and I both have Tesla's and our wipers do not work on auto. I am so glad yours do. I will definitely use the voice command for them next time instead of having to tap on my screen. Thanks so much! 😊
@@beingsalinya wow that’s crazy. I’m sorry. But, yeah the voice commands come in so handy. I have had my car over a year and still learn new stuff. You can say your hands are cold and it will turn on your heated steering wheel.
@@beingsalinya of course you are very welcome. And also with the fireplace feature if you tap the screen it will play r&b music lol. I did that and it played Marvin Gaye haha.
My understanding is that this is a philosophical issue with Tesla engineering. Instead of using tried and true sensors to determine when to turn on the wipers and the speed, Tesla decided to use CAMERAS to make that determination and that's why we experience this frustration. I've also had my wipers just randomly come on when it's definitely not raining!
I feel you on not having to go to the gas station as a woman. That is one of the things I’m looking forward to when I take delivery of my model Y later this month! 🎉
For the miles, they just recently sent out an offer to pay for more mileage. It’s called energy boost and should you be in your upgrades in the app. It’s $1600 for 50 more miles of range… bringing it basically the same price of the Long Range if not cheaper.

I also feel you about not wanting to get gas. I’ve hated it for years. Thankfully my husband always fills the cars up, but I look forward to not only not buying gas, but not having to see a stupid engine light always showing up. I’m not saying a Tesla is perfect, because no car is, but if it helps me with my footprint on the planet, not having to see an engine light, and stop buying gas…I’m all for it. Thank you so much for the informative video.

I totally agree! I thought the standard would be enough, but I am realizing I am charging a lot more than I originally thought I would have to. All in all the price difference wasn't worth it to me. Thanks for watching! ☺️
Tesla Y long range 3 months And I really do miss my map, especially the feature to avoid highways. I live in the city and prefer to stay in the city when driving around. One of the greatest Tesla pros is their highway charging network experience. When doing 90% of our charging at home, all EVs provide the same charging experience. But try taking an EV6 and a Tesla MY on a highway trip and the Hyundai will quickly provide an excruciating one way trip to hell. Finding working chargers, waiting at a two charger facility to finally get a chance to charge. Tesla clearly shows how their investment in Superchargers has paid off. Thanks for another great video.
Snoh aalegra come through 😂 are you gonna get PPF? Also how you surviving out Tx heat with no sun roof cover. Also in Texas do we have to add the front license plate or is Tesla exempt? did it come with tent? I’m sorry I’m asking all these questions. I’m really considering getting a Tesla.
@@tarnesh88 now you know the vibes are vibing when Snoh is played in the car. ♥️ no need to apologize for the questions that’s what I’m here for. 😊 I do plan on getting the PPF for my car because of the risk I put my car at due to long distance driving. I seem to be doing fine without a sun roof cover so far. I don’t get too warm in the car not having it. I believe you adore supposed to have a front license plate but it will be good to check on that. Also the slight tint on the car came with it but lots of people get their car tinted on their own for darker windows in the front. Hope this helped and I hope you get a Tesla. 🥳
We are supposed to have a front plate in Texas but I haven’t ever put one on any of my vehicles. Also the back three windows is just dark glass, it’s not actually tinted but I got all my windows tinted except the roof and windshield. With this heat it’s well worth it.
I love seeing Tesla videos. I plan on purchasing next year when we return to the States. I want a MYLR in quicksilver. I did want the white before you shared about the bugs. My biggest worry is what month to order and when will it be delivered. I'm returning to the States in July. I've never driven a Tesla.
Good video - for future purchases don’t purchase until you come in to take delivery & inspect the video. Their communication is poor. But thus far my new purchase is very worth for my family and I.
I'm in San Antonio and I travelled to Austin to get the car earlier. I could have waited until one was delivered in San Antonio, but I was impatient. When I purchased an Audi several years ago, the car that I wanted was also in Austin and Audi delivered it in San Antonio for me. Tesla didn't even make that offer and I suspect that it might not have been "free" anyway. I also thought that the pick-up experience wasn't as good as it could have been.
Another con which isn’t so much Tesla, but being in Texas, is the $200/yr extra registration fee because we don’t pay gas taxes. I think that’s kind of an expensive up charge for owning an ev. I just got my MY LR & I was hit with a $400 fee added to the registration fees. 🤔
I hear that all the time. If you drive in a reasonable manner, you will not wear your tires out any faster than an ice vehicle. We have three EV’s and we know this for a fact. So people spread the rhetoric all they want.
I saved the number of the person who contacted me from customer service and he is always pretty prompt with responding to my calls emails and even texts lol

@@beingsalinyaFair enough. I bought a Model S Plaid but BEFORE I bought it I test drove it several times and was aware of what it has and what it doesn’t. I don’t blame you if something doesn’t work but to say it doesn’t have something that you’re used to or it should have is kind of a moot point if you bought it knowing that. That’s not a con that’s a choice. Anyways, hope you enjoy it and watch the tires.

@@beingsalinya PPF will cost you a couple grand just to do the front, a total PPF wrap will be around $6k. Tesla paint is notoriously cheesy.

Another con which isn’t so much Tesla, but being in Texas, is the $200/yr extra registration fee because we don’t pay gas taxes. I think that’s kind of an expensive up charge for owning an ev. I just got my MY LR & I was hit with a $400 fee added to the registration fees. 🤔
@@realbro5548 something I didn’t even realize when I purchase my vehicle until a few week ago. I went back and looked and I had it too.
These issues dont even bother me lol
Also, the fast acceleration and the weight of the batteries will mean that we will be replacing tires at a faster clip....
I finally got an actual person towards the end of my purchase. I kept his contact close lol.
@@beingsalinya that’s how you gotta do it girl! Lol
Google Maps are the best. Think again...😂
@@JRJackson-ue4ls the way that they have me lost and taking extra turns is wild. 5 minutes added to each trip lol. Apple Maps forever. 😂
Apple maps is horrid.
Why do you say so? I love apple maps lol.
@@beingsalinya Just simple coding. Google maps just has a way better mapping info structure is all. Use what ever you like for sure. But the google maps is top dog of the navigation world. .
@ I appreciate your opinion! Thanks for watching.
I want the 2025 model Y but elona on twitter pumping trump is such a turn off
Literally!! I’ll feel better after the election and he loses!
The beauty of the cons is you can always back out and get something else. I’d rather do that than complain. You sound awfully entitled.
Hi there. That was definitely not the intention of this video at all. The video was more for research purposes in case someone was interested in a Tesla. These are my personal cons and all things in life have pros AND cons.. I just listed them in the video to help others. I hope this clarifies some things. You can see in the video I don’t regret my purchase. Take care.🙂

That's not how you say snoh....
I swear that’s how you say it.? 😭 how do you pronounce it.?
I’m 400 years old and buying anything on a app doesn’t phase me 😂😂
