    Having to rely on people to bathe you and use the washroom is tough. Glad your mom is a nurse, that's probably comforting! I just had open heart surgery and had to rely on my mom and husband for everything. It was a tough transition but it doesn't last forever. You got this! ❤️

    This is the video that made me realize I could get a TT at BMI of 39/40. Since I watched this video I went from 235 (5’3”) to 219 on surgery day (7/2022). I was 211 when I had my breast lift 10/2022. 1/2023 I started Mounjaro and now weigh 140! I’m nearly 6 weeks post op revision TT with lipo to upper abdomen, thigh lift, and labia majoraplasty. I’m wearing a size small bikini bottoms now. I can’t believe this is my life!!!
    I have you to thank for helping me get the ball rolling!

  • @wanderlust9222

    Hi lovely Sarah! I had lipo (arms and tummy/hips/upper abs/lower abs) and a modified form of a tummy tuck (excess skin removal, no muscle repair) with Sonobello about a month ago and my experience was super similar. My arms and "tummy tuck" were never in pain. I will give you a few things to expect from the lipo because the lipo is the most difficult to deal with haha. expect a lot swelling to kick in week 2 and also immense stiffness. You'll also start to experience tingling (like when your foot is asleep). This will then start to feel numb until the nerves re-build. The bruising and swelling is normal and will fade! This happens because the lymph drainage happens at those sites. I stopped taking pain meds after 3-4 days, stopped narcotics after day 1. Around week 3/4 you'll start to see some of the results and you're going to be sooo happy! Also, just a heads up I went through a little melt down at week 2 when I was my most swollen because I thought the procedure didn't work and I went through all that for nothing...but don't let your mind trick you, it gets better! Hope this helps, beautiful! I know this has made me so happy and I'm not even fully recovered yet!

    • @IvyS1120
      @IvyS1120 2 роки тому +2

      So Sonobello is a normal plastic surgery place? The commercials make it seem like they don’t do full blown surgeries. Why the quotations around tummy tuck?

    • @wanderlust9222
      @wanderlust9222 2 роки тому +2

      @@IvyS1120 Yup, it's a normal surgery office. The quotations are there because they don't consider it a tummy tuck since there isn't any muscle repair. The do liposuction then remove the excess skin in the lower abdomen. If needed, they also do belly button repair. I've loved them!

    Gurl, let me tell you. My family ALL has a history of severe vomiting w/anesthesia. Had never had surgery until a few months ago. I was so scared of throwing up, I really drove that point home w/ the anesthesiologist. She gave me iv meds, a patch and oral meds for nausea, all before my surgery. I could’ve had a 3 course meal after my surgery the way that nausea was controlled. The over medication other really horrendous side effects that lasted a week, so I’m not sure it was worth controlling the nausea. Sucks that you had such a hard time with it, I bet it’s a relief to be over and done with it. Can’t wait to see the rest of your journey 💕

    • @kielemacualay2
      @kielemacualay2 2 роки тому +2

      I do too! All of my c-sections and my gallbladder removal I had such horrendous vomiting coming out of anesthesia. I have to warn them every time but I feel they were just like "oh sure hun" 🥴

    • @TheCorrkyme
      @TheCorrkyme 2 роки тому +2

      @@kielemacualay2 it’s actually pretty upsetting that they don’t believe patients, especially women. I’m in the medical field and that’s one of the reasons they listened and took me seriously. For any future surgeries speak to the anesthesiologist and exaggerate if you have to. Say both parents and all siblings are extremely sensitive to anesthesia, list your symptoms in detail and ask to be pre-medicated for nausea. You can even give them a list of things you’ll need afterwards if they don’t control your nausea. A pillow to help brace yourself, plenty of vomit bags and several alcohol pads. The alcohol pads are a nursing trick I use, hold the pad up to your nose and breathe for several minutes. Hope you don’t need anymore surgeries, if you do I hope they take you seriously. I’d rather have diarrhea any day then to be throwing up lol

    • @Holdenwhat
      @Holdenwhat 2 роки тому +1

      It’s so maddening when they won’t listen. If I’m given enough medication before I wake up from anesthesia, I’m ok. If not, I throw up- and I tell them this. Sometimes they listen, sometimes they don’t. I have a vomit phobia, so it’s a big deal for me. Watching this video, I don’t need a tummy tuck if it means throwing up for days!

    • @livelongandprospermary8796
      @livelongandprospermary8796 2 роки тому

      @@TheCorrkyme I have a similar experience. I am EXTREMELY sensitive to pain meds (like Vicodin, etc.). I tell every medical professional that likely it won’t take away my pain and instead will leave me extremely nauseous. They always say “it’s fine this is the right dose for your height and weight” then they act surprised when I’m vomiting then dry heaving for 30 minutes. Like witch, I told you. 1/2 the dose!

    • @TheCorrkyme
      @TheCorrkyme 2 роки тому

      @@livelongandprospermary8796 all of my family cannot tolerate hydrocodone(the generic name for vicodin) it causes extreme nausea and projectile vomiting. It’s actually a very common side effect. Personally for myself when I come across an incompetent doctor, I claim an allergy to certain meds and refuse the medication which has to be charted into your file. To cover their butts they won’t give you those meds and will have to find alternatives. Something else I picked up in my field that I now suggest to friends and family, find a good primary doctor. They can right you a doctor’s note that you can take with you when seeing other doctors or ER visits. They can list all the meds you are sensitive to and list the meds that work for you. If you aren’t taken serious, that note will be.

    I took zofran when i was battling Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome and it was the only thing to work while my body detoxed. It was a lifesaver! Thank you for being so open and honest about this whole experience! It's definitely interesting to hear how the recovery is.

    Hi Sarah! So proud of you and so glad everythng went well. Apart from the reactions to anesthesia :( I got like that when I had surgery as a kid so as an adult they used a different kind of anesthesia and I felt great after! So glad you are over the worst by now and thank you for sharing this journey with us!

    I had a breast reduction last October, and I totally understand the vulnerability of having someone else bathe you and help you with medications, etc. It was my mom as well! My thing was that nothing tasted good for a week. Not even my favorite foods, it all tasted like it was rotten, so I'm happy to see you do not have those symptoms!

    So happy everything went well for you! I was also blessed with a successful bariatric surgery. The night before so many things went through my head. I woke up crying in the recovery room, likely a side effect from the anesthesia haha I know the surgery is different but for me my pain was the gas pains. From the laparoscopy.
    That’s a sweet set up they have there too. I’m excited to see the final results

    I get a little woozy when it comes to medical stuff, but I feel like I have to watch these long-awaited vlogs!!! I’m so glad you’re rested & the computer is cooperating enough to let you post these, Sarah! Hearing you crack jokes right away post-surgery and the Coco shout-out is basically a normal vlog, right? (A little double-tapping to fast forward through the incision talk never hurts nobody ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

    Omg Jay is just the sweetest! I’ll make her a smoothie! You can tell he loves his momma! My son is a mommas boy too and it just made me think of my son! I get nauseous off of local anesthesia and found out when I had to have a c-section when I gave birth to my son.

    I'm so happy you shared this part of your life with us. I'm all for people doing what's going to make them feel even better in their bodies. You have always been such a beautiful and confident woman and this is just a really good example for other women to know that it's still body positive even if you have surgery to change something on your body. Body positivity is loving yourself unconditionally while still continuing to work on improving yourself in all aspects. I truly believe that our bodies are perfect for each person individually. You are a great role model for self-love 💙

    Yay!! Surgery vlog!
    You know what I thought about when you said about the rock hard abs?
    Some vlogs ago you and your bro had mentioned how you never really relax your tummy, how you always essentially have it sucked in, flexed or clenched. That could also be why Dr. R didn’t have to tighten them. Just a thought 💛
    I know in real life you’re all nice and healed but I’m hoping for a pain free speedy recover for you!!
