I'm not planning on playing S4, I have plenty of criticisms of the game and am nearly apathetic about it, but I really enjoyed this interview. I would much rather hear Adam talk about game design than any of the other guests typically present at the campfire chats. I hope they continue to do community outreach in this manner. Great job, Ghazzy and DM.

Was a great interview and more than i expected from Blizzard. Realy good job on them.
They should do it more often and don't be ashamed, that they copy GGG in that regard, rather the opposite. They should do the same route of creators (they are comfortable with)
Also i felt that 5 seconds on discomfort, when Ghazzy named PoE and Last Epoch next to D4 as the games he's playing in the beginning, but i am of the conviction, that Blizz has to become comfortable to let their competitors (at least) be named in a stream like this. If this could be a thing they could handle, it would speak a lot about their confidence, that D4 will eventually be playing in the same league, even if not for the exact same audience.
If you meant for this at 3:05 , dunno I didn't see it like you did - Adam was like ok fair enough. Didn't see that discomfort at all.
@@limeem As i saw it, they went over this so very quickly, because they felt it might be uncomfortable. Almost as if it hasn't even been there.
Not blaming Adam in the slightest. He has a brand to represent. And there probably was some sort of agreement to not speak in comparison about competitors (which is fair, when agreed upon on both sides).
It is just, that i have never anyone say the words "Path of exile" in front of a blizz representative publicly.
I might read too much into it, but it's kind of a big deal for me.
They always mention those games as "other arpgs". Probably not mentioning the name of the other games prevent d4 casual players even searching for those games so they can't be sidetracked which game to play.
Very solid interview, except ghazzy's camera not fitting into the golden frame, OCD was kicking in hard.

17:35 Player Driven endgame systems like RVR/PVP is the solution to this issue.

The patch notes arguments is silly. You should be documenting changes and tracking them, which will make it easier to cobble together a comprehensive release nnotes
They are documenting changes. They are just not putting it all into the patch notes. *_All_* games have 'undocumented' changes, else you would have a list that is a mile long. The release notes will show the most pertinent changes like how a certain skill now have less/more damage or notable bug fixes.
I like the inside. It's just annoying for long time d players that they don't grow with us. They forget that we did up to d3 and we need more depth. Nice to think about new players but it keeps on limiting advanged players. At least I get that feel and this drives me away. My ultimate feeling is that they invent the wheel over and over for each new disblo version

TLDR D4 Bad, done.
In d4 devs design experience and builds for you. In poe devs give you tools to tailor your build and experience. Until their philosophy changes d4 will remain bad.
