Yes indeed.. but i don't see they are doing much to help improve the situation and ensure the d.workers have a safe place to go in their off days...
The simplest thing is to suggest to authorities is to build a dedicated facility where these domestic workers can go on their off days. A governmental facility where they can exercise, relax, chat and spend a documented one day off per week. This will ensure all domestic workers have one day off, and they can also complain to the authorities in case of abuse.
employers will be more carefull when they know authorities are watching and that they see the worker once every week.

Generically speaking, people tend to treat animals better than their fellow humans. If there's an animal being trafficked it's an awful thing. However, when this happens to a human being: "oh well, let's consider, hmm.. It isn't really trafficking or illegal or immoral or inhuman" >.< this is horrible.

They drugged her, changed her clothes, dyed, and cut her hair. Disney closed down every entrance and exit. Thank God her parents had a recent photo of their daughter. Everyone working Security looked at the faces of every child going out of the park and she was retrieved. These people think they are better than everybody else. These domestic helpers applied for this job from an official house helper provider, they are paid monthly salaries, have a day off and travel for vacations back to their countries every two years according to the contract they approved and signed before leaving their countries. If she didn't want to work as a domestic helper she wouldn't have applied at the first place. I have a domestic helper from Indonesia, she is like my sister, her contract with us finished and she refuses to go back to her country, she says she is happy with us. When we order food in we always ask her first what would she like, on holidays we buy her gifts, if she gets sick we rush her to the hospital. This documentary makes it look like all domestic helpers are slaves and abused....!!!!!
      NOTE: I'm from Saudi Arabia.

As sad as it is , let us not forget that the girl was sold by her own uncle, after her mother died she became a burden and was sold by her own family, this happens to much in west Africa, that children are being sold to work for the family.
And before those families gets a heavy penalty, this will not stop.

Imagine being a grown adult and some random people coming into your house (or where you live at least) not even knowing them, and them talking to your “master” and you not even knowing if you are about to be taken with these strangers for them to now own you or not.. I love how the BBC repeatedly blames the app hosters for having generic buy/selling apps, but never once criticises the Kuwaiti Gov't, police, and people in general for being immoral, lawless and corrupt. ....but I guess they don't dare, lest someone complains "islamophobia!".

My toughts exactly. The agency providing the housekeeper for the first family should see through that the empoyee is safe and recieves her pay checks. This has nothing to do with the apps since the selling to one another would happen through any social media if it's made that easy. For fuck sake the agencies don't let the girls quit or change jobs that in it's self sounds more like being held captive than holding a job.
