He's absolutely brilliant - kinda grew up with him movie wise. He looks great and he will do loads more stuff, so we have all got something to look forward to i'm sure.
Thank you, Mr. Hoffman. I just think you are fabulous, and I'm glad to view this good video. You were fascinating as a guest on the "What's My Line" game show, and Mr. Nichols was neat to know you were who he wanted for Ben. Loved your Ratzo, loved your Willie Loman, I love you in everything you do. You're a standout guy. Zei gesund.
When talking of the greatest actors - I always cite Tootsie and Midnight Cowboy as the range of a great actor- Dustin provided so much joy in many of his roles but the two mentioned defined his his immense range😎👌
+Fab Farrago Fudge I didn't think he was any good in Rainman, you could see him acting IMO. Tom Cruise is the one who should have won an Oscar, he was magnificent.
@@joycegibbs629 I disagree in you saying Hoffman's performance isn't good, but I agree hoffmans performance overshadowed cruises performance. Tom cruise was great in Rain Man
@@nicholas4727 Tom Cruise always looked so desperate to impress like what's his name . . . Jack Lemmon, so desperate to be liked. Both of these men were not pleasant for me to watch, too much trying, too strained.
He's great in everything. But he will always be 'Ratso' to me. One of the most touching, real and pathetic characters in film history.
Dont Call Me Ratso , Call Me Rizo
Yes, I love Ratso far more than Benjamin Braddock. Ben is interesting, but poor little Ricco Rizzo is heartbreaking.
I haven't seen all of Hoffman's work but here are my favorites: The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, Little Big Man and Tootsie.
Great actor,a legend that can not be replaced or duplicated.
Dustin Hoffmans character in midnight cowboy still one of the greatest performances in the history of cinema
I so agree. And Jon Voight was also remarkable, so very very good. Both of them.
He was fantastic (most powerful scene for me: the "I'm scared" one). I think his best is in Kramer vs. Kramer, I was so blown away by it
Thank goodness he took the role in midnight cowboy still remains his best work. Well has had many great roles but he was so on point
Wonderful versatile actor, always a vulnerable antihero, exactly the kind of characters I like the most. Fantastic person. Still looking fantastic.
during interview: 'i'm talking here!'
A true Legend.
My fav, Mr Hoffman. So funny just being honest and real.
Happy 76th birthday Dustin!

Dustin at 8:50.
"Only if it's RIGHT for the scene..."
LOL
Great interview and chemistry between Peter/Dusin, really
funny.
One of the greatest actors of his generation

One of the best actors ever..Little Big Man, Lenny, Marathon Man, Tootsie, Billy Bathgate where he played gangster Dutch Schultz..he’s perfect
Tootsie is his best, a comic masterpiece

Midnight cowboy and Papillion are his best
my favorite movie Little Big Man - wow GREAT character acting!
I watched this whole thing just to see him talk about the Graduate and he never does.
"Is it safe?" Why no mention of Marathon Man?!?
Have never seen an actor who plays someone with disabilities ( of any kind), so well!

Ben is still looking good!
Peggy from King Of The Hill reminds me of Tootsie.
