It sounds like there is an issue with the board itself. You could start by checking the connections on the wires leading up to the motherboard to make sure the electrical current is flowing smoothly. It could have a lot to do with how that computer is processing the information when the switch is pressed, or when nothing is happening. Unless you have more invasive materials that could fix a board that's pretty much beyond repair.

I actually checked more traces off camera and everything seems to check out, which makes it even wierder. My guess its one of the components itself or several, but I will get to it eventually.

This video was really interesting. Me and a few friends of mine have been collecting and playing these games for at least 10 or 15 years, and we have never seen anything like this before. This doesn’t even make sense. It seems like everything is functioning normally, but it’s actually playing the wrong sequences of sounds. I’m guessing the board is just fried. But it sounds like it would be very entertaining. If you could get it back together, would you consider selling this? I would love to get my hands on it. This thing sounds fun to mess with.

Yeah very strange, its crazy. I didnt realize how uncommon this issue was. And I actually just ordered another super cheap one for parts thats damaged cosmetically. So im hoping everything functions internally as normal, so I can get to the bottom of this and see whats going on. Which would be part 2 of this.

And if for some reason I still dont find the issue then yeah I wouldnt mind selling it ")

That would be cool. I don’t know if there’s any way to fix that board, but you can probably take the board from the new one that you’re getting and put it into that one. If all the buttons work on the new one, you could put the broken board in that one. Like I said, it would be cool to get a hold of that messed up board. I’m blind, so it doesn’t matter how it looks, just as long as everything works. I showed this video to a few of my friends, and they thought it was hilarious. None of us have ever seen a bop it do that before, and between all of us, we’ve probably had at least 10 or 15 of these.

Is it weird that I want to see how crazy this thing gets when the speed increases? I've never seen such a weird case in electronic game history before so this is really interesting. I know of a few games that can do something similar to this, but that has always been caused by briefly disrupting the power therefor causing a glitch in the system

@@padenmcdonald579 yeah im actually going to start by switching the components I think are the problem from the working board and use process of elimination and see if I find the problem.

@@retrostashrepairsif you hold down bop it twist it and pull it while inserting a battery it should play through all the sounds in memory.

If you know how to use it it’s much easier using. Using twist it should changes it to voxbop where it tells you the button to use twist it again for beatbop where it makes the sound and you have to guess which button it is
