Hayes Carll wrote a great song. Todd and HWA nailed it.
After 10 listens it's still getting better.
Everything Todd Snider and the Hard Working Americans do is great!
Rest in peace and rock in peace, Neal Casal.
"Groovy" doesn't begin to cover it. I'll have to think of a new word. Damn your awesominity.
Real music real lyrics how refreshing! Nice harmonica solo by Mr John Popper
Thank you...bringing the roots back to rock and bluesey. ...Signed ...not so old chick.
How can you go wrong with a lyric like:
"I'm like James Brown only white and Taller;
All I want to do is stomp and holler"
Absolutely. All respect to the HWA (love this album), but check out Hayes Carll's original version.
jbknapp66 Hayes is great
I happened to find Hayes Carll by accident some years back bought a used cd thinking i was buying another who's name now evades me Glad I found him, most of his vids suck sorry to say...
I love that too! I've got a Hayes Karll T-shirt with those lyrics on it! He's a hell of a song writer. Todd's cover is awesome too!
this is originally a Hayes Carll tune. Love the original, love what the HWA did to it!
Wow! I think these cats are my favorite new band! This tune is so bluesy, gritty and funky it coulda been done at Muscle Shoals!
Awesome! Better'n when Hayes Carl does it (though I love Hayes Carl) The St Michael wife beater is brilliantly poetic 'cause, like, ya know, the devil dances in empty pockets.
Atm, I'm waking up from a poor man's dream so it hits home :/
Some of the best lyrics I've heard since my time way back in the day. You know what I mean. All I wanna do is stomp and holler!
Klinkt goed. Ben benieuwd naar de rest.
Good work Todd Snider. You're still a nervous wreck.
great cover hayes carll song gotta love todd
Man I think I am gonna love this.....wow...
Going to see them in February at the ryman, gonna be a good show!
Thank you Neal
Holy shit!
Saw these guys on Conan was rocking!!
Love this! Heard the review on Fresh Air, or else I would never have gotten here!
I do love the effort of the band and the lyrical correspondence they committed to and for collectively bringing their energy
these guys remind me of Nick and Mikey g from Marin County that's why I like em. Yes sir. I'm all about these guys cuz I used to dig their other bands but mainly cuz of the Rolling BlAcKouts. peace. o.a.m.
purchased this tune a while ago and I still play the heck out of it. Excellent job, but my only complaint is in your marketing. You guys should have done a contest for a dance to go with this work of art. A cross between a line and a square dance would be so cool. Real butt shaker, this is something to dance to.
I'm out here working hard for my dollars .. All I want to do is Stomp The Holler..!
Hays Carle wrote one Bad Ass song but THWA made it their on Todd & the Hard working Americans for me is why I want to ''Stomp&Holler""!!
Hell yeah
Gut Bucket Ruff & Tumble, I love this music. Peace, Steve Doc Willoughby
This is crazy good music. The only problem is...and this to me is a great injustice to a great band...I cant find the album anywhere near where I am at. I have to order off the net...which I am going to do. Just sux that Hard Working Americans have to work so damn hard to be heard by the masses.
Lovin David Schools
Todd, me liking my beer so much. I can tell you and me could have a fun night out.
Nice to see John Popper harping in there.
😎👍😎
I prefer Hayes’ version, but I dig this as well and Todd Snider is a master songwriter/storyteller in his own right.
sounds like rock and or roll
Sweet axe..
I wanted to Stomp n`Holler when I heard this song......but shit happened so I became A Blackland Farmer.
Better than the original.
Hayes Carll wrote this song.
So, you gotta have a beard to join this band?
Chris Robinson is not happy!
Hayes Carll was a little better but I do dig this versions
I like the guys involved with this band, but wow...not digging this version of the song.
