It strikesme, watching Yaroslava jump, that she is actually creating art. In her best jumps one can see beautiful form, balance, and especially rhythm.

A few weeks later she won a silver medal at the World Championships and set a new world junior record of 2.04 at the age of just 18 years and 2 weeks. She pushed the greatest high jumper of her generation - Mariya Lasitskene - all the way. And don’t forget her PB of 2.06 indoors last year. She’s a once in 40 year talent, IMHO. Forget the World Record. This girl has literally _dozens_ of 2.00 metre clearances in her CV already. She will be a major presence in high jumping for the foreseeable future and that matters more.

The semi-good news about Russia is that most of the troops on the Ukraine border are the recent draftees (inexperienced). The experienced Russian troops have been sent to Kyrgyzstan to help with the trouble there. Also the US and other EU allies are promising truly nasty economic measures against Russia if Russia invades Ukraine.
also Russian troops still 200 km from the border it means field guns and rocket launcher only can reach max 10 km, with 200 km you need 4 hours tank to reach border.
