    You've got me sold. I've been a Roland fan for years. But now I'm definitely going to be upgrading to this module.

    Great demo. I was surprised by the accurate ringing of the cymbal choke sounds.

    Thanks for doing this!
    Mine is waiting for me at the post office so this is getting me psyched up. This sounded really good with my speakers and incredible when I put headphones on.

    Great demo. Pushes me more in the direction of the Pearl Mimic. Other top contender is ATV AD5. Presently use Elektron Analog Rytm with Loop Loft samples triggered by an older Yamaha e-kit. If you don't mind a couple of questions: Does the Mimic knock you out? Why/why not? What would be your second choice module/kit, and what have you owned in the past?

    great video man, tried the td 50 not impressed at all but this module sounds pretty damn good the cymbals especially and here i thought i was content with the td 30

    So on all the mimic videos no one talks about the speakers used. Amp, speakers or P.A.?

      @@BladesMusic Thanks you for your reply. But all in all acoustic drums, and for that matter everything in the studio sounds great. I would really like to see someone make a video of it live as played on a kit and through a sound system. Are there any complications of setting it up through a sound system and is the cost of nearly another acoustic set worth it over just using mics?

    Does it just mimic pearl drums ? I want to mimic noble n Cooley drums .

    Wow what a setup. Did you peace the rolling together or buy it as a kit

    Hey Scott how do you like the module? I'm still using the td20 with a vst I really like the slate kit sounds and would like to upgrade. How do you find the sensitivity and latency of this module compared to the td20 module I presume that's what you were using before.

    This video has convinced me on my next module. Now I just need another tom pad and 5 cymbal pads and a proper hi hat setup. ;-; I have an 8 piece acoustic kit. I can't play it due to issues with my arm, but I've found mesh pads are gentle and one of my biggest passions in life is back. I'll def be using this kit too. Also, you wouldn't know which cymbals they sample for the pro would you?

      Scott Lavelle that was fast c,: thanks. It'll take some saving up, but I'm definitely getting this module

    A-MA-ZING!!!!This is the real deal! I love this module, well done Pearl! I’m getting one next month.Scott, great video! You’re a great drummer! Congrats man!What model of hi hat do you have? Is that a VH12? Can you please share your settings? I got a VH11. Yours sound super sharp. I’d love to be able to be ahead of the curve and know what to do beforehand :) thanks in advance!Again, well done! Loved your video!

    Help :( i play an acustic set but i also need an electronic drum for my studio. Fact is that i WANT this module; it has incredibile sounds... but, since it's sold without stand or pads, what would be the best solution for me?

    • @markomarkovic5729
      @markomarkovic5729 7 років тому

      I strongly recommend that you look at the channel 65 drums, which deals exclusively with electronic drums. There you can find everything (literally!) you are interested in, as well as the best recommendations. I also play acoustic drums and I'm (also) currently on the market looking for an e-drum. I don't know how much money you're planning to spend, but in my opinion the best combination is ATV aDrums basic set (or some Drum-tec kit) + Pearl Mimic Pro

      My guess is since you already have acoustic shells, you could get some mesh heads and cheap triggers and use those with the mimic module
