CASSAVA SEEDLING PRODUCTION USING THE 3G TECHNOLOGY

To conclude the training on high-value certified cassava seedlings production, our team was taken through a practical session by Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service - KEPHIS on 3G technologies involving the application of tissue culture, rooted apical cuttings, and pencil/ miniset cuttings as a strategy for the multiplication of disease-free cassava plantlets.
Our research extension officers are ready to implement the technologies in the production of disease-free cassava, to strengthen the PlantVillage cassava scaling-out systems project to benefit our smallholder farmers.
