5:08 the point! School, from 1st to 12th, has the rank system that makes you subconsciously competitive with your friends. Sometimes you "held" self-competition between your friends. So that when you worked in group, you "have competition" with your friends.
What I hate about this present time is when someone already realizes that there's really something wrong going on (for example toxic education culture) but we still don't see any changes today. The current system of education and it's toxic sides itself literally backfires every student success. Treating students like robots (putting too much and unrealistic standards) and sheeps (to always follow rules even if it's too much). I desperately want to make a change but I know it would take a lot of time, patience and effort.
I never knew this exists in the western world too. After 20 years now I still have this competitive feeling that I believe I have acquired from my school-age. I was thinking about this controversy for years, I am sure my competitors also can have this bad feeling still. I attest that the ranking system is really damaging. Curriculums need to find other means to see into the talents of the kids.

Why don't more people realize the truth of this talk?
Thanks Elizabeth. You are absolutely spot on. The ranking mindset needs to be challenged, for the sake of future generations.

Not to mention the stress of it all causes an array of mental illness that are leading people to suicide. So....
School is so toxic, all the kids are saying this but yeah we are kids..... Now someone is saying the truth none listens!
