    I really like this video. Feeling elegant, beautiful and less exposed. I'm a Christian and I always thought that wearing something like this, a hijab, does have nothing to do with religion. It's more like honoring your body and being aware of what you let people see. A beautiful smile is priceless and is much more worthy than showing off your body. God bless you and thank you for this video ❤️

    As a Canadian non-religious person, I've had Muslim friends who chose to wear the hijab, and I have some who've chosen not to. I remember my first time putting on the hijab . I felt so free and I felt like I am myself. I felt so strong and protected . I felt like I am meeting myself for the first time in my life . Before I converted to Islam with 16 I started wearing hijab to get less shy . I always felt drawn to Islam , to Allah . Don’t know how to explain it. I felt like Allah is guiding me to myself. To who I am really are . I wanted to convert when I was 14 but for that I would had to get the permission from my mom by law . Then we moved to a other country and when I was 16 I converted on myself. I didn’t told anyone that I am going to do this .. Only my friend ( she is Muslim too ) I asked her to come with me to mosque so I can do my shahada . Unfortunately she couldn’t come with me .. So in the morning I went to mosque already covered and took my shahada . After this I just wanted to cry , because I felt so free . I felt like I found the way to myself. After that I went to school first time with hijab . My friend she was so surprised and happy she cried with me , she hugged me and told me that she is so proud because I did what I wanted for so long . It was not easy people looked at me (like the other students and teachers . There were shocked I think . One teacher treated me really bad ( she already treated me bad before but after me converting and covering myself even more ) I remember one time we had sports outside ( we were in a girls school ) in summer she told me „ take of your clothes like hoodie .. I said no . She repeated herself again and I said no . Why should I take off my clothes if the others can dress like they want ?! She said again take them off or consequences will follow . I told her no and she send me out . She freaked out and gave me detention after school so I had to sit after school in a room while everyone else went home . Next day in school my friend said you were the first person ever telling her no . No one can force me doing something I don’t want . I don’t care what consequences will follow. I have Allah by my side . I remember in the beginning when I converted I hid it from my family. When my mum left the house for work I put on the hijab and went to school .. After some time I told my mum . She said „ I know , your school told me „ She never saw me with Hijab and Abaya or praying because I hid it from her I wanted to find the right time to tell her when she is less stressed . So few days after I told her I asked her to meet me after her work on the train station. ( I wanted to give her time to settle this information even if she already knew it from the school . U have to think about your parents feelings as well as they are not used to it and also if someone tells u ur daughter is Muslim , she is coverd they may not believe them , so if they hear it from their own child obviously they need some time to settle this information ) So after I asked her to come after her work to the train station ( I was fully covered with Hijab and Abaya ) So this was her first time seeing me differently ( obviously she was shocked and somehow disoriented like she was like this is my daughter? ) She needed time and in the end she kicked me out .. It’s now a long time ago she still doesn’t talk to me .. I got married without her and I have two children now ..she never replied to any of my messages , she ignored all my calls , when ever I tried to see or talk to her she blocked .. she moved to a other house and was in hospital . This is all I know from one of her friends . Even to the children’s pictures she never replied. I tried so many times , so many years .. she blocked me . I even send a lawyer / police to find her but they couldn’t help me (because I was worried for her ) . Obviously I can not force her to talk to me and I accept her choice. I am sad but everyone has their test from Allah . This dunya is only a test and Allah doesn’t put more on a person then they can take . Always remember after every hardship comes easiest .

    I will share with you my experience of wearing hijab 🧕🏻.
    I reverted to Islam from Christianity in 2009 after I got married to a Muslim and since then I was really doubting about wearing hijab. I thought I would study the religion and see take it slowly. So it took me almost 12 years to cover.
    Before, when I used to go out to markets or any crowded sales places, sales guys would call me “Hey, Shakira, come beautiful, take this, take that”. ( I live in the Middle East so it’s very common to hear)
    This year’s Ramadan was so magical and I decided to try and do it.
    I already used to wear covered outfits, only hijab was missing. So I decided to wear what I used to wear usually to market, some modest clothes but with the scarf this time.
    And my first experience was , going back to market. I was so shocked , how the attitude of sales guys changed. The very same people who would shout Shakira to me, called me SISTER!!!
    And the respect that I got with it was tremendous. Even my young daughter noticed the difference. ( now I understood the power of scarf) .
    For society, Before I was one of the western women, whose reputation will not even save them with modest clothes, but wearing scarf immediately tells about the humbleness of a lady.
    So since then I was sure, that I want to keep my identity and to show everyone that I’m muslim.
    Now I never felt disrespected, only good vibes.
    My message here may be little long, but I hope if any other girl who is doubting about wearing scarf should just give it ONE TRY and go to public places she used to go. Just to see the difference. I am sure she will be amazed, just like I was.
    The only thing I regret that I didn’t do it earlier…
    Lots of love to my sisters out there.
    Peace be upon you all.

      Masha Allah, I had the same experience sister. The difference is that I was born as a Muslim from the biggest Islamic Country in the world (Indonesia). I am now living in the State for 11 years Alhamdulillah. Even though I born and raised in Muslim family, but I wasn't wearing a hijab, not until Ramadhan this year. I had a very strong desire to wear a hijab. I couldn't resist the eagerness to do so then I did. My family (husband and daughter) against me and many times we couldn't avoid the arguments. I cried a lot and prayed to Allah SWT who HE is the ONLY one can change someone's heart to soften both my husband and daughter's heart. I asked Allah SWT to make them accept me wearing a hijab. The first few weeks, I would hide from them/didn't show them I was wearing a hijab from home when I needed to go out; groceries, Doctors, etc. I would have a hijab ready in my car and I put them on when I left the house and I took them off before I step in to the house. I did that just to avoid the argument. Alhamdulillah, Allah Kareem, HE gave me confident and courage to be truthful and show them who I was/and forever will Insha Allah ( a hijaber). My daughter changed, she slowly accepted me as a hijaber. On the other hand, my husband still couldn't and not to mention he would say very hurtful words and my daughter was the one would speak up for me. after almost about 3 months, my husband slowly accepted and alhamdulillah he is now fine that I am wearing a hijab. About the experience outside, I got exactly the same impression from the men except that I no one called me such things before, I guess it's different between living over there and here in the US. The men in the store would node his head and smile to me/being respectful also when I go to the restaurants or malls. I got lots of compliments from the women (friends and stranger that are non muslim) they said that I looked very elegant and beautiful with what I was wearing, Masha Allah. I am praying to Allah SWT to keep you, myself and all the sisters to be istiqomah always, Insha Allah 🙏💞💕

      Masha'Alla beautiful story, however if these men who are calling women in an inappropriate way are Muslim then shame on them. There needs to be focus on how they should be conducting themselves as well, and observing their Islamic modesty too. Hijab shouldn't be the reason they suddenly show respect toward a woman especially when you generally dressed modestly anyway. Wassalam.

      @tatyanabugayeva7220 2 роки тому +68

      @@nisha6488 I studied it my dear sister along with other major religions.
      Islam is the final piece to puzzle of believers in one and only Creator of everything. Before Islam there were many messages passed by the Almighty, however most of them were corrupted over time. The only message that is preserved and will never be changed (not even a single dot) is the message in the Quran.
      I can similarly compare it with the versions of the new iOS for example. You will not find anyone using iOS 1 version. Why? Because it is too old and applies only for the time of the first iPhone was created. Recently there is iOS 15 and as times go by people will be keeping it up to date.
      So the Islam is the final version that Allah sent for the WHOLE HUMANITY ( not only for Arabs) as it is mentioned in the Holy Quran and no other version is more correct that this.
      Thank you for your sweet advice, I can only recommend you to do the same and read Quran with the explanation (Tafseer) and I will pray to the Almighty that you will change your mind about it.🙏🏻

    I’m a Christian and I cover my hair, even though she is Muslim I’m so glad she is normalising head coverings in general and introducing the idea to people that have probably never given it a second thought! Going out and meeting people is the best way to dispel myths and teach people not to jump to conclusions/stereotypes, everyone always assumes I’m Muslim so I think people need to recognise that head coverings are an integral part of all three monotheistic religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam (Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist women also cover their hair)

    • @AlifLamMiim
      @AlifLamMiim 2 роки тому +13

      @@janiquesternchen5274 Well firstly, it’s not necessarily men requiring this (if you follow a religion then you would also believe it was from God, therefore God is the one telling you to do or not do something) but the reason that men do not have all the same restrictions and permissions as women do is because men and women are different. It would be impossible to make the two genders fully equal with each other by having them do the same things, but it would be possible by respecting the difference and working off of that. The primary reason for the hair covering is modesty, and you may also look at the statistics of sexually related crimes in western countries where head coverings are either not encouraged or even discouraged, compared to countries where modesty is important and necessary.

    • @AlifLamMiim
      @AlifLamMiim 2 роки тому +9

      @@hurtigheinz3790 The Bible does require women to cover their heads in church (New Testament, Book of Corinthians) and also tells the woman not to speak in the church and there are certain places she can not go in the church. Religion has been wreaking havoc for thousands of years over and over again, but how can it be that religions create hatred, division, war, conquests, slavery, is there more to it or do we really believe that an almighty God will solve our problems, although all these problems depend on faith. The powerful divide and rule, they want to divide us into many different groups and have anchored this division in the religions. Especially the Quran is a masterpiece of war, it can be both the religion of peace and on the other hand the religion of war, not for nothing there are extremists and kind hearted Muslims, but both feed on the same content, it depends on the interpretation, this is determined by the scholars. When does this interpretation change? It depends on the power of Muslims. If a society consists of 10% Muslims, they have no power to act, if they try to kill or harass unbelievers, they would prevent or hinder the spread of the Quran, but as soon as there is a majority in society, the interpretation changes within the mosques, the scholars.
      The pressure by the radical Muslims becomes stronger and stronger on the peaceful ones, since deviating opinions are not tolerated, how can one otherwise move humans to exclude others, to press, which are parallel also to the Corona time. If a large majority inoculates itself, the state can more easily put the minority under pressure with measures. Since one cannot recognize Muslims by their appearance, since there are also Turks, Arabs ...... who do not necessarily have to be Muslim, so one shows its spread and makes about the Hijab, a symbol of the takeover, one says one would like to preserve the beauty of the woman, but did not Allah know that the more skin to watch on these sunbeams downbreak could, the production of the Vitamin D3 zunimmr. God is omniscient but not Allah. It is a biological oppression.
      Why the oppression of Africans?
      Why was the Usa 20 years in Afghanistan and left only a destroyed infrastructure and killed countless innocent people, it is the Islamization of Europe, in Germany it started with the Turks, Italians and over the decades it became more and more, it is a long planned habituation to a later refugee policy, which creates parallel societies and with a higher birth rate produces exactly this majority situation, the German /European is not able to defend himself in this future, let alone to assert, ossified by history, an eternal debt, which makes itself the elite of this world to own, solidary should be the German and accept the Islamization without noticing it himself. The powerful own the media, they control the trends, manipulate the algorithms, create majority opinions and can incite whole nations against you.
      The human being born in pure innocence, the experiences also make us who we are, born with a moral compass that degenerates through manipulation, we do not need religion to orient us.
      The world will only come to peace if we acknowledge the reality and finally put the virus of this world in its place, we must overcome the division and stick together, but this will never happen as long as we believe and give our power to an imaginary god.
      The free world is dying out, may you live in peace and I wish everyone the best.

    For the ones wondering "If the hijab makes them more beautiful, then wouldn't that beat its purpose?" Let me tell you something: hijab is not made to make a woman "ugly", because it doesn't. Instead, it is made to kind of "conceal" the woman from evil and lustful eyes. Showing skin and hair naturally attracts the eye of those around us, that is why we have to cover ourselves. This also applies to men, by the way. Men also have to wear modest clothing that does not define their body. They can also cover their hair and face if they want to, but they'll have to do a different style from the ones women do.
    In all, both men and women should dress and act modestly so that they can be protected from the lustful and evil eye of some people.
    Edit: I want to clarify something here. Both men and women should lower their gaze and cover themselves (essentially, be modest). This rule does not come from Islam only. This also applies in other religions, like Christianity and Jewdaism. However, in modern times, people have made being uncovered seem the "normal" so that being covered looks "oppressive". Also, while the rules are there, not every person follows them because we have free will. This does not mean the religion is wrong, but that the people are misguided. So, you might see someone saying, "Cover yourself! I command you!" That doesn't mean the person's religion is wrong, but that his/her actions are. Seriously, it's time we stop generalizing and claiming that a person's actions are due to their religion, race, gender, or age. Every person is accounted for their own actions.

    • @RimaEln

      @@noueruz-zaman7894 Ultimately, we can't stop evil from happening. To explain, the people around us must lower their gaze and try not to have lustful thoughts about those around them. However, not everyone does this. So, no matter what we try, there will always be evil around us. Even so, we should keep trying to at least minimize it, so we wear modestly.
      Also, if someone looks at us with lust and evil while we are dressed immodestly, we also take the sin. On the contrary, if someone looks at us with lust and evil while we are dressed modestly, only they take the sin and we take blessings. This is also a huge reason to cover ourselves.

      You sound dumb. I don't wish to cover my face or hair but am very modest than some hijab wearing people i know.
