About Nikola Iliev - he is Botev youth. They sell them to Inter, but he played only for the U teams. He was there...2 full seasson, maybe a little more. He win the primavera one time with the U-19. After that they loadned him back to Bulgaria (in CSKA1948). At the start ot this season (2024-2025) Botev bought them back. Great talent and he is still only 20years old.

Then I thought I was the chosen One and went to Italy... only to be sacked after 3 months. Bye Bye Bird Brain that. But also go to love the club! My daughter-in-law then all of a sudden told me she had been there ! She thought it was on of the best cities shes been to in Europe

Thanks mate. I like to keep recruitment relatively realistic for this type of team. By season 5 yes I could have grabbed the odd superstar but it wouldn't have fit with the whole concept I think
I'm Bulgarian and Botev is my favourite club.They're most recent winner in Bulgarian cup and they're performing pretty well in the league staying second at the halfway of the season.However the gap to Ludogorets is huge(14 pts).Botev played defensively strong and were able to grab a ton of 1:0 wins during the season. I'm also doing a save with them.Won 2 league titles,some cups and played at QF of Conference league and in my sixth season I reached Champions league proper.However,I'm following real-life club's strategy to sign African talents and develop them. Iliev also played great for me,scored and assisted a lot,but he went for big money in U.A.E.😢Nikolov didn't perform that well.In real life he suffered from heavy injury.He played only few games for us. I hope some features will be added to Botev in the next FM.Currently they have some good African players (Ukaki,Nwachukwu,Akere) and 2 affiliated clubs-Vista , which is Russian youth club and where African youngsters come from.And Armenian side Van where we loan-out some of our youth prospects. @StingerNeilD English is my second language, sorry about that :) I wanted to know like why do you use defensive wingers in a high line pressing tactic. how do you provide enough attacking power to support your forwards? is this role the current meta in fm24?
@lanetolsunbora defensive wingers are more attacking than they sound. They push really high up so if you are playing a high press tactic they are ideal. Your English is great 👏
8:45 the club name is actually Željezničnar from Sarajevo, on the other hand FK Sarajevo is their biggest rival 😂 would love to see you do a season with FK Željezničar in this series
Love these challenges. Trying to do a similar one in Croatia albeit with a few more seasons given the club I’m managing isn’t one of the main ones (NK Istra). I reckon your next one should be Serbia with Partizan given red star have won the European Cup so bringing glory to the other side of Belgrade and ending their dominance on top.

I would love you to try some team from Bosnia, like Sarajevo, or the team you faced, Željezničar. Teams with big histories but just couldn't make it at the end (I am talking about after Bosnia's independence) and Čelik, which was destroyed financially and got themselves back to the second division but still struggles, or Sloboda Tuzla, a team that a month ago released all of their players. I would just love you to do some of them. Cheers

@@StingerNeilD thinking my best chance of a champions league will come in Portugal. But I think that's going the be the really challenging one to win. To be fair in my original glory hunter I won the champions league with Lille which was a surprise.

Stinger how do you pass years so quickly in these "rebuild" type of videos? Do you go on holidays? Also suggestions would be Rangers, Benfica or Anderlecht
Lock in tactic - play 5-10 matches to make sure its working like you want it - holiday - stop holidaying for key games - in this save for example I played all the European games
