Here is a sampler of the Tinnitus Noise Masking Series to help you find masking noises that sound good to your ears: ua-cam.com/video/IaZk8NbzxXU/v-deo.html
Audio downloads and the complete series bundle are available linked in description of each video. Thanks for listening

It's very similar, but not quite high enough. I can't put my finger on it. There has got to be some kind of download where people can adjust the noise or frequency for themselves.

Tinnitus IS PAIN for some of us, all sufferers experience this affliction differently. If I am exposed to loud music, concerts etc. I will have severe pain below the ears on both sides shooting down my neck for about two weeks and it is quite excruciating. Please protect your hearing people!
This "masker" is very helpful (as long as you listen at lower volume levels) too loud and it WILL make it worse for you. Thank you Dalesnale for this video!

Yea, but sometimes wouldn't you rather have pain than the pulsating? The pulsating is terrible!
I'm thankful it can be masked. pain is more difficult to easily mask.

Now I understand why Vincent van Gogh cut off his ear. Ever since a nurse used a water solution to suction a tiny bit of wax from my ear, it’s been ringing.. but not a steady ring, more like morse code. I don’t hear it outside, only when inside, and sleeping is the biggest challenge. I’m so happy I found this. Tonight I will sleep. Hopefully this is a temporary condition. STOP smoking, consuming caffeine and sugars, stablish a new sleep routine and do not overdo your medications. ALSO for those who post negative comments, please stop and start doing better with your life, I assure you the biggest victory for you and your love ones.Thank you.😮❤

I have had tinnitus since I was 21, now 53. It’s changed many times over the years, and sometimes has been a layer of constant noise with variable pulsatile tinnitus. The pulsatile version went away all of a sudden after about 5 years. Recently it’s been the most intrusive it’s ever been. Ringing is in my head not my ears. But this sound is relieving. Like it lifts a bit of the pressure out of my head. I’m actually confident/hopeful that my sound will change or diminish because it has happened before. Thank you for making our lives a bit more comfortable.

My tinnitus doesn't fluctuate, it is a steady high pitched tone around 10khz (ish). It nearly drives me around the bend, I suffer from chronic fatigue because of it. I use maskers,, fans, music, crickets, etc. This is very soothing, hope it helps some.

White noise covers the entire range of audible frequencies, effectively masking tinnitus sounds.
It is especially useful for those who don't know their specific tinnitus frequency, as it can be used universally.
By making tinnitus sounds less noticeable, it helps reduce mental stress and provides a sense of comfort.
Thank you sincerely for creating such soothing sounds for those struggling with tinnitus.
I hope everyone finds peace and comfort in their daily lives soon. 🙏💖

I got tinnitus for about three years and you have to keep going
    control from anxiety
    blood pressure balance
    good sleep
and sound masking in several ways at the same time
The process can be frustrating, anxious and wanting to give up feels impossible, but you have to persevere
Start with the cranial nerves with drugs for anxiety and neuroinflammation
    With tinnitus masking
    just yesterday it disappeared
Thanks for the voice provided by this channel
The above is my experience sharing, and I also wish friends who are troubled by tinnitus

Live sound engineer, drummer, dj, and producer here who just stumbled upon yr channel. I'm playing the masker, scrubber, zapper, soother, and a 528hz pure sine wave simultaneously on Presonus E5 monitors and T10 sub. After just a few minutes I've noticed that my tinnitus(right ear only, lives around 2k) has been attenuated decently. I also experienced some ear drum fluttering. Kitchen Sink therapy at it's best lol! I'm going to post this comment on all the other videos and hope that others might find a little relief too. Thanks for that observation Sean. Here is 3700Hz released this week. ua-cam.com/video/_IzFyUA67IA/v-deo.html It is not surprising 3800 is so problematic frequency for many. As an audio engineer,, 3.8kHz (3.5 to 3.8kHz) is an area that always needs fine adjustment to keep a concert or recording mic from not sounding "harsh". When people describe a sound as harsh, this range is where the EQ notch begins.

Sound therapy and masking devices help rehabilitate the brain by sending signals that mimic this symptom, so that the sufferer will feel more comfortable. When we suffer from tinnitus, it makes us stressed, the stress triggers our threat response, so we’re almost certainly going to notice it more. The truth is, it’ll only get better or disappear once the sufferer learns how not to ‘hear’ it. I consider it to be a hallucination.

You're great at your job. I understand that I'll usually have it to some degree but if I can have a few nice breaks , you are SUPERB at your craft.
P.S. My phone got hot so I took ot out of the case and that's way better.

thank you for the videos I've been with this for a couple months now and looking to get some therapy for it but by far these videos gave me peace especially in the early days when the anxiety was horrific, I quit nicotine cold turkey because I thought it was causing it, been bummed out from it but when it gets bad these videos help. Can't believe there isn't more research into this condition as it seems like totally life altering I hope that it isn't. Thanks Dale. And believe it or not when I am playing guitar it takes my mind off it cause im listening to my notes so I recommend playing instruments for anyone going through it, only thing I found was solace in the white noise thank God! Interesting it was used for remote viewing I know a little about that.

Your thoughts are appreciated. I have noticed as well, walking off stage after a gig (at reasonable stage volume), my tinnitus is much lower. The opposite would seem probable. This may have to do with the mind getting plenty of musical processing while playing/performing.

I’ve tried a few different things, but not to much helped, until today while talking to my daughter on the phone, when an ambulance sirens blasting, went past her, it nearly deafened me, but I noticed a bit later I actually had silence in my head! After weeks of madness it felt great, when my problem started my dog barked high pitch right into my ear, maybe we just need a similar pitch to reenact a similar frequency!

Hi, thank you for addressing this irritating phenomenon that so many of us are enduring. This sound does block my tinnitus BUT now I just hear it even more in a focused way. I curious if we could design a signal/sound that would be similar to ‘noise canceling’?!?! Thank you, and most of all thank you for trying to help us😊

This is close enough for me. Thanks.
My tinnitus and hearing loss is around 7100hz and I have an hour of a saw wave recorded which is the closest I've got to any relief. My audiologist says I should be using white noise at 5000hz in my hearing aids but I neither get benefit with my hearing, nor tinnitus but I know there will be a frequency that will give me immediate relief. I think I've tried your 8000hz video (sorry, my memory is so poor I cannot remember much of anything I do) and it did well but left me with a slight hissing so my own sound file was still better, but I've played this video just now - just a quick burst and I had almost complete silence for as many seconds. I'm going to give this a few days of an hour a time and see how I go.

    • @dalesnale
      @dalesnale  3 роки тому +2

Been thinking about a 7kHz version (one between the 5500 and 8000Hz videos). Some information I have read says the audio playback frequency should be +/_ 10% of the ringing in the ear/mind. So 8kHz could potentially work down to 7200Hz...not quite far enough. Because noise is a band of frequencies, perhaps it could go beyond the estimated range.

@@dalesnale Awesome! It's really good. I often listen to podcasts or audiobooks to help mask the tinnitus or at least distract me from it sufficiently so it doesn't drive me nuts and I can fall asleep, but I suffer from fairly intense migraines (result of repeated concussions, which also caused my tinnitus) that make me hyper sensitive to sound. This masker is so unintrusive that I can listen to it even when I'm going through a bad migraine and listening to a podcast isn't an option. So wonderful work!
