- I found this old axe at my parents house, and decided to make it into my first restoration project for this channel. I worked on/off on this project for several months (about 6 in total), so the seasons change in the video which makes the ambient sounds change over the course of the video (if you can hear any ambient sounds through the grinding).

My grandfather left me an American-made ax. and I'm keeping it as a very valuable keepsake. I once heard my grandfather say that ash wood was an excellent choice for the ax handle, but now that he's passed away... this video gives gives me many experiences and reminds me. thank you. Now I always keep the ax blade as a keepsake. also i will use it in the future. Your video is very helpful for ax enthusiasts.
This message warms my heart, thank you ❤️
Some of those collared axes are in really good shape and i definitely recommend restoring those
That’s the plan. I want to restore all of the tools in that box, but some of them might be beyond restoring.
I really liked the finish of the tar!
And it smells so good!
This is really good! Looking forward to seeing more videos from you
Thank you so much! You won’t believe how happy you just made me.
cant wait for the next upload
Do the saw next, and that file! You'll thank yourself later!
Well, well, well, have you been spying on my next video? ;D
(Though I have some IRL stuff going on which is hindering the progress, so it might take some time before I get the next video out)
@@bydesignrestoration The story of my life! Lol
Do what you need to do!
But save those tools! 😁
Me acting axe head restoration pro after watching this
That’s exactly how it works. If you don’t know how to do something just look it up on UA-cam and BAM! Now you are a pro.
99 out of 110. Just a little more work on the sides next to head
Thank you for the feedback 🤩
You didn’t restore the handle? Half-ass job if you ask me
Truly amateurish yes, but some things can’t be restored. Like the handle that had perished long ago~
(Just to be clear; it didn’t have a handle)
