I remember back in the 2000s when film connoisseurs were saying Michael Pitt was supposed to be the next Leonardo DiCaprio. Writer Terence Winter even wanted Dicaprio to play opposite Pitt's character on Boardwalk Empire but it never happened due to Dicaprio's super busy schedule. Glad he and Pesci, Buscemi are back for "Day of the Fight"!!!
Sadly, one of Pesci's best roles is often overlooked: Nicky Cerone in _Easy Money_ A VERY funny movie. Pesci and Rodney Dangerfield were funny af together. 😅
No one overlooks it. Just a small role. I like to believe this is the same character from Home Alone. Just different names. Harry drives a plumber's van in both movies.
I'm 56 and remember the day HBO aired "Easy Money." I watched it every time it came on. As I watched it years later, I spotted a joke that I'd missed for years. I got the running joke about Nicky always wanting to fight somebody while Rodney is holding him back. The joke that I overlooked was when Rodney was sleeping and got a phone call in the middle of the night. Well, Rodney was talking in his sleep saying, "Don't do it, Nicky, he didn't mean it." Even in his dreams, he is holding back Nicky.
the guy that played Jimmy in Boardwalk Empire did great, probably the best character in the show(hot take), did well portraying an aimless ex-soldier that will eventually spiral down the drain because he doesn't care despite having a family
I saw “Day of the Fight” at a special event a few weeks ago-we even got a chance to meet Pitt! The movie was fantastic, and Pesci’s part was absolutely outstanding, highly recommend it!! The distributor actually told us that if not enough people see it the release will be cut rather short as it’s an Indie, so I highly recommend seeing it.
I know that "Man on Fire" starring Denzel Washington was the bigger hit, but for me a 1987 version with Scot Glenn and Joe Pesci was/is a great movie. Check it out if you will.
I came across the trailer for this maybe a week or two ago and I thought it looks pretty damn great, with a damn stellar casting! So glad to hear your thoughts on it brother, have a safe and fun new years!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I don’t understand. On Wikipedia it says this movie came out in 2023?

The regular guy look...😂😂😂

@@Maxxroad nah, it's overlooked.

one of my favourite characters, sadly the actor himself was horrible to work with so they killed him off at the end of season 2.
Michael Pitt Brad's brother played Jimmy in Boardwalk Empire
@@joshflynn2173I always wondered about that

The guy who played Richard Harrow in Boardwalk Empire is the director
He also played Robert Kennedy in "The Irishman".
@1987AnimeBoy never realized that
Richard harrow is a great character
Looked up that song, woah, is it really Pesci singing
I appreciated him exceedingly in the somewhat dated but memorable "With Honors"
Moira Kelly ❤
The Good Shepherd is the most criminally underrated movie ever, and Pesci's one scene explains everything. Joe Bob says check it out!
I love that movie and totally agree!!!
When i looked up the film it says it was released in 2023 and there are reviews of it. I'm confused
happy new year everyone 🎉🎉🎉
Dont forget Easy Money.

He was so good in Bupkis still annoyed how Pete Davidson just left it on a cliffhanger

Why is it when i look up this movie it says it was released in 2023? But everywhere on youtube it says new movie 2025
Looking forward to seeing it.
The Super is an awesome movie!!!
Cool, I'll check it out.
We share the same birthday.
One of my favourite actors 2 of my favourite performances are jfk and the Irishman
Great actors in this one. I hope it's good.
Wanna see a great Pesci performance?
Check out The Public Eye. Very under the radar.
Looks cool? I'll be the judge of that.
How can you discuss the director and not mention his cinematic lineage? His grandfather was only the Hollywood titan John Huston 😮😮😮
Just be careful when he starts ringing that hotel bell on the chairs arm rest.
"New" how 🧐? Like new, fresh 😊, groundbreaking 👌🏻, innovative 😎, or new, odd 😡☠️?
hard pass: can't stand pitt
Whats cool about it? Tell me, tell me what's cool
Check out the death collector...iykyk
I’m not convinced by Joes late career. He’s done some real questionable garbage lately, like that show he did with Pete Davidson.
