Hi! Thanks so much for watching!!! For more valuable audio book narration content, check out my ACX playlist! ua-cam.com/play/PLwvdDA1T5Gt7xB5hPEceO4ZVLcZGswaMY.html 🙂
I often listen to youtube for this, but it’s a great idea to formalize it the way you have here. You could actually create s character library doing this and return to it again and again. Excellent.
Susan, great tool! My mom's family was predominantly from east Tx, & yes, they do have a specific accent. Their accents were closer to the Lady Bird Johnson era of speaking which is thicker by far. Great way to learn. Thank you for taking the time to share this! God bless.
You're welcome! If you have an ear for specific regional accents, you're probably pretty good at imitating accents! Not everyone can hear the difference!
Hi Susan! Could you give me a hint on how you got the youtube video to mp3? I used to do this years ago using an MP3 Converter program. Now when I try this, I get "locked up" by the software that is trying to sell security software. Thanks.
Alan, I use a program called Wondershare Uniconverter. It's around $60 and you can download UA-cam videos. You can also convert to various formats. It's been a lifesaver! videoconverter.wondershare.com/store/windows-individuals.html
do u know of online community promoting audiobooks where narrator is fake voice ( or synthesized )? i would rather listen to a boring monotone narrator than hear annoying dramatics like when a male narrator simulates a little girl's or woman's voice, so annoying. just read the damn story, that's my motto. if I wanted to hear dramatics, I will watch TV or a movie, but dramatics in audiobooks just doesn't fit, it spoils the desire to hear an audiobook, that's why I have not been able to finish at least 1 modern audiobook. I have listened to some classic audiobooks in monotone fake voices, but I want something more modern like a smut novel or modern horror, dark fantasy, grimdark, or science fiction.
lmao is this comment for real? ask this on a forum or something. a professional voice actor's channel is not the place to ask about putting them out of a job

Yes, absolutely! Having a character library--especially when you're first starting out--is invaluable!!
