Really Great Vid on using studio one for audio books. How do you use this DAW to make sure your final files met the requirements for ACX? Id. like to use Studio one as it is my primary DAW and not have to switch. Thanks
Thank you!! My studio is treated well--this is after years of voice over work and reinvesting in the space. So I just treat my audio with eq and a slight decrackle in iZotope RX. When I first started, I used a feature in iZotope RX I think called noise reduction. That worked great!!!!
Ok maybe I missed a presceeding video but is this so you can replace the portions of the audio that are mistakes or is it quickly or is it for combining the areas for some reason. This might be a wierd question for studio one users im not sure if that is a given but i use audacity it would be really easy to do this but im not sure what it is for.
This is for S1 so that you can quickly replace a breath or weird click sound with room tone. As far as I know, you can't do this in Audacity. All the best to you as you begin your journey in voice over!! Please keep me posted about your progress. 🙂
Susan, when recording an audiobook, do you record each chapter in an individual track or record straight through in your primary RAW track (perhaps noting chapter locations with markers) and separate the chapters after processing the whole thing as one big long track in RX?
Typically I create a new song (file) for each chapter. But if it's a short book, then I just record in one song and then uses markers to denote the chapters.
@@Voices4Learning That is so helpful. I never know how to update the RH. Can they view uploaded audio files before we hit the 'I'm done' button? Also, do you have any video where you talk about communications with the RH?
@Victor Ope oh yeah! They can listen to chapters as you upload them to acx. But scx doesn't notify them of new chapters so you have to tell them ua-cam.com/video/q-eBRQ5Cwjc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/JHsCS-kwuwA/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/RL2_-g5NTY4/v-deo.html
Hi Susan, my audiobook is in QA. My RH says she believes we will each get 25 copies of the audiobook to give out. Please how do you recommend I use my redemption codes? Thanks for your mentorship!
I used AudioBookCodes.com. You can give them away for honest reviews. You can make posts on Facebook. People genuinely enjoyed doing getting free audiobooks!
@@Voices4Learning According to an article I read, Producers working a Royal Share get promo codes. However, it doesn't mention PFH. Have you ever received prom codes for PFH projects? (It's an ACX article but UA-cam isn't letting be post the link) Thanks
Perfect! Just what I needed. Thank you for sharing.
Another perfectly concise video with a game changing tip! Thank you!! 🙏✨

I use iZotope Rx to check my levels.
@@Voices4Learning Thanks
You are wonderful 🤩
This works great!
Quick question. Your dialogue sounds very good. How are you eliminating unwanted room noises? Any post processing?

Hello 👋
Thereupon uploading the final audiobook files, does it go through ACX QA first, or does the Right holder validate first?
Thanks❤️
The Rights Holder validates first. I recommend you give weekly updates to the rh so they can be a part of the process and listen as you work.

@Victor Ope a couple of times, pfh authors gave me codes because they didn't want them. It's pretty rare.
@@Voices4Learning okay I appreciate your feedback!
