They are accurate sixshot alternate modes. What do you expect?
Wow. Can't believe you landed this guy already... I absolutely loved their version of Blitzwing, and I still think he's going to be tough to beat (maybe Keith's version). Regardless I feel that Gewalt is incredibly underrated, and the quality on my version was incredible. So obviously as soon as I saw this release I was incredibly stoked.
I think this guy is pretty awesome. I never really liked Sixshot toys but Hanzo impressed me, he fits in pretty well with my MPs. Maybe it was that I wasn't expecting much and got more impressed than I expected. Way better than that FansToys monstrosity, Hydra.

Mariner1712 not really, at least in my opinion. I've seen other Sixshots pull things off way better. Usually the wolf mode is my favorite of any Sixshot, but this guy's wolf mode doesn't look good to me.

Mariner1712 Yea but unconvincing and sixshots actual modes are 2 different things. these are NOT his modes. the gun is about it and even that looks bad.
I can't wait to get him. My Hexatron will be going into my CHUG Collection.

This dude is awesome. I can't imagine Hydra being any better.
And yet Hydra most definitely is.
If they ever re-issue this I'd like some improvements :
1) Change the wheels pistons to metal parts and loosen the hinge a bit (they snap to easily)
2) Give him some adaptor pieces to aid with weapon storage and also to act as a means to secure the gun handle.
3) Give him some screw covers - the back to the arms and legs & side of the chest are a big mess of holes.
4) Stronger ratchets in the wings so the gun mode handle doesn't collapse under the weight of the body
5) Perhaps add an anti-aircraft cannon mode cockpit (there is space in the hole the wolf head stores for one.
6) There seems to be a slot in his backside perhaps give him a tail to plug in there.
If they don't want to make such improvements an enhancement kit would be good with those sort of things I mentioned added - and perhaps some rubber tires for his other wheels, an effects part for the wolf's flame breath (jet exhausts) etc..
Speaking of guns though I think the legs go crotch down in gun mode as the crotch piece is the gun mode's trigger.
He's OK but only buy him for the Robot or wolf mode as the other modes are a bit of a pain and I'd not recommend using the car mode at all as those pistons as so going to snap.
I do like him - But I did buy him on sale - I wouldn't have been super impressed with him at full price though.

As a owner of G1 hexatron 20+ years ago I was amazed by MMC hexatron and admits so far out of my latest hasbro and third party transformers it remains as one of my favorite.
I love my DX9 like Carry and Tyrant, but for this sixshot they made and the new hasbro figure, their design is simply no match to MMC, how sad.
got this too. best MP Sixshot for now...very great besides w my FT Galvatron...
Isn't it the ONLY MP scale Sixshot for now? TR and Terminus Hexatron are both more CHUG scale.
It's never easy to make good-looking alt modes with more-than-triple changers, and I think the wolf mode and jet mode come of as the most complete and satisfying (minus the wheels behind the canopy), but the robot mode is a true winner here and looks simply gorgeous. This form alone can potentially warrant a purchase for many people, me included if I had a budget for 3rd part toys right now.

Much better in my opinion than the new Hasbro version but of course with a BIG difference in price. The alt modes for the Hasbro version are not all that bad, perhaps on par with this one, but this version's robot mode just kills Hasbro's...
The small dagger-dagger like weapons are Kunai, ninja throwing weapons

I love this guy in bot mode. I got the Titans return version at target about a month ago(along with Megs and Optimus voyagers) not realizing it wasn't supposed to be out yet(would've bought the three they had along with the rest of the primes and Megs)and I have to say, I know it's not popular to admit but I really love the hasbro version just as much, if not a tiny bit more. Total throwback to the original toy with just the right amount of updating and quite a few of the alt modes actually work. It being more toy inspired than toon means the colors aren't 100 accurate but for $45 bucks it's nothing that my airbrush can't fix because the sculpt and engineering are all there.
I agree. The new Hasbro Sixshot is a pretty darn nice one. I think it's much better than this thing in almost every mode and it costs like 3 times less.

I got to play around with him while taking down the 3rd party display at tfcon chicago 2016 and i have to say that he is a pretty decent figure, I absolutely love the bot modes but the wolf mode is the weakest of the 7 modes. He looks great net to to other MP figures but because of his scale i think he fits better with a classics display as his size looks more appropriate with that line more than MP figures that he should tower over like he did in the show or in the IDW comics.
Great review. Very nice when is this slated for release?.....extremely difficult pulling off six modes period. DX9 Sixshot absolutely crushes MMC's version in robot mode. Like you said the alt modes eh meh not bad.........but ummm yeah worth the upgrade. Is there any diecast present? Looks like its built really well.
Although some of the alt modes look odd, I think it looks nearly perfect in bot mode, which is the mode I'm going to have him in anyways, so... I'm all in. Excellent review!

Liking the scale- Hexatron is a nice figure but doesn't fit on an MP shelf.
The Altmodes are.... there. But I'm impressed they can get that many "distinct" modes out of it, and I daresay fans will be working out their own.
His alt modes look near on accurate to the animation, also. Way better looking wolf and jet than the fans toys version imo. Not as good gun and tank. Vehicle and robot is almost tied, imo. Dx9 will probably have the friendlier transformation IF FT doesn't rip it off completely like they pretty much did with Quietus from Eligos. FT will probably have nicer colors and finish and face sculpt.
he's masterpiece scale!! hes the same size as ultra magnus, awesome! he's supposed t ot tower over the others
Wow! I like MMC Hexatron but looking at the size comparisons, Hanzo is definitely going to bigger and in better scale with the Masterpiece toys!
Out of the 6 modes his robot mode is the best LOL.
I would have to say I think it's nearly worth the asking price, but with other companies releasing other options I'm going to have to wait. I have Shadow Emissary and the Clone Droid version of TH, but they kind of fill a more IDW or Dreamwave aesthetic for me. Though I do have to say the clone droid version is about G1 enough for my CHUG collection.
honestly for 70-80 bucks its not that bad I personally dont like spending more than 100 bucks for one figure so this guy fits in my budget

Is it worth it? I paid 168sgd for it from a trusted local dealer. And heck yes, i'd say its worth it! For a figure that size, volume and innovation, i'd want it for sure. Plus, its one of the best sixshot robot modes we've seen, and it says alot about the effort dx9 puts in.
One more comment I am glad to see DX9 FINALLY fixed the ratchet spacing within the legs. Their A stance was out of control and really hindered Galvatron........not as bad with Blitzwing which to this date is my favorite DX9 offering but this looks awesome as well. Again is there any diecast present? How is the weight?
I don't know why anyone bothers after Terminus Hexatron, I've got the genuine Shadow Emissary version (and a KO of the same just to keep in fighter mode as the real thing is in bot mode) and it's brilliant, pulls off all 6 modes easily plus a couple of fan modes too. The other two 3rd Party versions I've seen since including this one are utter rubbish; the first one looks like a curvy Tonka Toy in every mode and this one looks like an angular Tonka Toy in every mode. I gather we will be getting an official Sixshot soon, I dread to think just how bad that could possibly be! LOL. ;-)

Bot mode is beautiful but its unfortuntely he cant hold his weapons tho. The rest of the modes are underwhelming except the "panther" mode which does look very decent. I stick with my Hex for now
his g1 toy doesn't look awful at all. Do you have it? because every mode is pretty solid on it alot like the new TR version. This figure is a write off imo I hate the alt modes with a passion and the head sculpt isn't even that great. But you did a good reviewing it none the less and I like how your cameras looking these past few months ;) I'm gonna wait for a FansToys or TakaraTomy Masterpiece version fosur
My thoughts exactly. Most of the G1 figure's modes still look better than Hanzo's to me.
To me this is like the opposite of Terminus Hexatron. Term-Hex had maybe 2 modes that weren't too great and the rest were real nice. This has 2 modes that are pretty nice but the rest are awful. Plus Terminus is way more stylized than the G1 toy while Hanzo looks almost less stylized than G1 except in bot mode.

No trigger in submarine mode nor cockpit for the tank? bot mode looks great, but the TR looks more fun for less money, that will be my Gen Sixshot while Hexatron goes to the IDW shelf. Thanks for the review tho.

theres a lot of 3rd party sixshgots which should i get DX9 D10 gcreations fuuma (my main favorite ill want to get) or terminus hexatron. tell me if there are any other i have missed
Bot mode is on point... Other modes especially the laying down gun mode disappointing...
Looks like a high quality figure but also looks pretty terrible in all modes except robot and wolf IMO. Those are the only 2 modes where he looks better than the G1 toy in fact. G1 Sixshot was awesome for its time and I think this mostly looks like poop for its time. I'll be waiting for FT Hydra and/or the GCreations version.
While this does look good, kinda interested on how the Titans Return version will play out

I think this is very G1. people go check the G1 animate, all other 5 mode are so ugly cause animator have to refer the G1 toy. actually the design of G1 toy is good enough in 4 weapon mode, DX9 just upgrade robot and wolf mode then mada it more like G1 animate. this is a better way I like than the MMC do, the Hexatron just not like TF, it looks more like a japanese brave series, I don't think MMC's sixshot refer to any TF comic or animate.
At least he can six-shoot in his alternate modes

Haven't seen a third-party sixshot since hexatron.
Gredge Papatwika Yup that one is from TFsource, it was a 2006 mold. And theres another legends scaled Sixshot being released by IronFactory. ;)
I'll stick with my hexatron
i have both and i love this better than hexatron...this is MP scale..
I just can't stand all those lines on hexatron but I do like the sword sheaths thought

Bot mode = Fan fricking tastic! The others = meh. For a Sixshot, he doesn't pull off the modes. I've seen other Sixshots pull off the modes way better. Even the wolf mode, the one I'd usually like the best, doesn't look good to me.

I don't understand why you don't like the wolf mode. I wish it had a tail and a back and forth moving head. I like the jet mode on Hanzo very much as well.

You mean Wing Wolf mode?
Nah in Masterforce during the final duel with Ultra Magnus he unveiled a new alt mode that had the wolf head, but otherwise was totally different

You are half right, it was headmasters not masterforce, but Sixshot made a big deal that it was a 7th mode he had kept hidden. It had the wolf's head, but it did not have legs

Gotta be honest Ben...having mine in hand and kinda referring to yours for instructions....you go way to quick. The jump cuts don't allow me to really pick up what you're doing without having to constantly rewind the video and in some cases, you straight up miss parts of the transformation. You do other things off camera to do other things and you never go back and explain why things are moved.
Well last time you told me I was way too slow and considering I didn't have any instructions and guessed my way around it ... I thought I made it pretty easy to follow but apologies if it isn't

It was mostly cause of the cuts. You would do one side and then do another side. Which is great for time saving but doesn't give a clear look at how you have to do things without rewinding a lot lol And having them without instructions is a pain. IT's why i came to your video :P
