DinoLand U.S.A is home to the Animals Kingdoms prehistoric life including dinosaurs, a few ice age mammals and related modern animals. The backstory of this land tells us that it started out as a small highway town where an amateur fossil-hunter in 1947 found some dinosaur bones. After getting ahold of his fellow scientist friends, they put together their money to purchase the site.
The theme of DinoLand continues this backstory where you will find scientists, volunteers, grad students and former gas station owners all living here trying to find answers about the dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth. The quiet fishing lodge in Diggs County became the first headquarters of the Dino Institute, renamed Restaurantosaurus would now serve as a mess hall, museum, school and living quarters.
The Dino Institute houses the Dinosaur ride, originally named Countdown to Extinction. This ride takes us on a turbulent journey through the Cretaceous period.
The Boneyard which is the primary dig site, this is where amateur fossil hunters uncovered the remains of a Tyrannosaurus Rex in 1947.
Walking the Cretaceous Trail we find dinosaur sculptures, character meet and greets as well as plant life that dates back to the Cretaceous..
Chester and Hester is a road side attraction housing two rides, TriceraTop Spin and the former Primeval Whirl. Here we will also find midway style games like Whac-A-Packycephalosaur, Fossil Fueler, Mammoth Marathon, Comet Crasher, Bronto-Score several photo opportunities as well as a fun house mirror.
DinoLand also houses a replica of Dino Sue, which Disney had assisted the Field Museum purchasing in an auction on October 4, 1997. Some of the preparation for Sue's remains would take place at a Fossil Preparation Lab that opened with the Animal Kingdom Park.
Two Habitats can be found in DinoLand U.S.A. The first houses American Crocodiles. The second is a shared exhibit housing Abdim's Storks and Asian Brown Tortoise.

@@ZoosTravelers yeah, and most of the dinosaurs were at least somewhat accurate. Love the new thumbnail design too!

Thank you! I tried to make the thumbnails pop a little more. As for the dinosaurs I agree, they didn't change Dino Sue when the field museum fixed theirs. I don't know if they have any plans on that. I'm really curious as to what they have planned to replace primeval whirl.

DinoLand USA is my favorite part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort of Orlando Florida. 0:45-0:48 I have seen that Big boy since I visited in 2001, 2007 & 2009. Someday I hope I’ll return to visit Walt Disney World Resort of Orlando Florida. 0:50 I still wish they could’ve added a companion for this American Crocodile since he’s the only one in this enclosure. 2:20 Well, if it isn’t the Bronze replica of SUE The Largest & the most complete T.Rex AKA Tyrannosaurus Rex found in South Dakota. Or should I say T. Imperator AKA Tyrannosaurus Imperator? As of this year of 2022, there’s 3 Tyrannosaurus species from now on. Tyrant Lizard King, Tyrant Lizard Emperor & Tyrant Lizard Queen. 2:47 I know that on the right “our right” is an Albertosaurus. But what’s the other one on the left “our left”? 2:51 A T.Rex? A Daspletosaurus? 3:05 That’s quite a view of Bronze SUE from this distance. 3:13 Ohh a Leptoceratops. 3:15 The life sized head & neck of T.Rex AKA Tyrannosaurus Rex. 7:20 The Boneyard. I enjoyed seeing some Dinosaur bones there. A Brachiosaurus, a Pachycephalosaurus, a Parasaurolophus, a Edmontosaurus “Probably”, 2 Triceratops & a Tyrannosaurus rex. 7:38 I wonder if this T.Rex replica was based on the Wankle T.Rex Aka The Nations T.Rex skeleton itself?

I've always enjoyed this area of the park. Now that the primeval whirl is gone I'm curious as to what plans they have for that area of DinoLand.
Hopefully they will get a companion one day for the American crocodile.
I'm not sure which Dinosaurs are at 2:47 & 2:51, next time I'm there I'll check and see if there are signs and will give an update here.
I'll go back and take photos of all the skeletons in the boneyard, I know there were several I missed or didn't make the final cut.
Glad you enjoyed the video! will have another animal kingdom video in the near future. If there are any areas you would like me to revisit or see next don't hesitate to ask.

@@ZoosTravelers I’m aware that the Dino Rollercoaster isn’t there anymore. I wish I could’ve ridden it again 1 last time. But who knows what’s going to happen there in DinoRoma? We’ll have to wait & see.
