The legless one in the hospital goes into cardiac arrest, all the doctors rush in to save his life, and Mike slips away after dropping a syringe into a biohazard bin.
Something people overlook about Howard is that he believed in Jimmy. He believed in Kim, and he trusted her judgement about Jimmy. All of that blew up in his face with the ad debacle.
So now he's got a lot to think about. Did he make a mistake trusting Jimmy, or Kim's character, or her judgement? All three? Something else? I think putting her in doc review is giving him time to work through what went wrong before making any decisions that could hurt HHM.

lol, why do you hate Mike’s daughter in law? Mike feels responsible for his son’s daughter and wife and there’s nothing wrong with that. She is not exploiting him imho, she was just paranoid and anxious which is normal for ptsd after your husband is killed.
She is literally exploiting Mike for money, she knows Matty wasn't dirty but Mike admitted that he was, she knows the Help that Mike gives can't be from a parking attendants salary yet she keeps asking for more and more.

6:35 - Wow the acting of Patrick Fabian as Howard is so good, that even his head is tilted AWAY from Kim during their walk. He is openly repulsed by her. Subtle details like this are why this is the greatest franchise in history.
They do such a good job with depiction of court proceedings, Kim in the court room arguing her but off, and what's being argued. It's 100% legit believable.
Money doesnt bring you happiness, but it reduces a lot of stress. Money helps pay bills, loans and debt. Once you get those out of the way, money can actually not be that beneficial for you. There's some psychological fenomenon about the thrill of it being better than boredom... something like that.
Hector, Tuco, and the twins... can never decide which one I'd be more terrified around. Geez what a family. Meanest bunch of psychos. Lhm
On the other hand... some of those lawyers are pretty damn scary too 😄

It's not "the only reason" as if it's some chore that he's putting up with... it's THE ENTIRE REASON he's doing crime. Everything Mike is doing is to provide and protect his SON'S WIFE AND DAUGHTER.

I feel like it's less that 'money doesn't bring you happiness ' and more like what makes you happy can't be denied. Like we as humans will find a way to justify what makes us feel good and alive and as much as we might want, to that drive wins out and remnants be damned. I dunno though

I don't ever see anyone talking about this, but Rich Schweikart is one of my favorite, most underrated characters in the show. Dude's just a great guy.
That depends on what you mean by “great guy”. Certainly he is skilled at presenting an appealing surface, but he is also fine with defending Sandpiper’s fraudulent exploitation of seniors. I also doubt that Howard and others at HHM think that Rich is a great guy when he is poaching one of their associates. None of that means that I think he is doing or would do anything that is clearly illegal or outside the ethical standards of the legal profession. At the same time, unless I was a really close friend of his (and maybe not even then), I wouldn’t trust him to be such a great guy that he would do something for me that didn’t serve his interests or that was more than the law required.
@@markhamstra1083 You do realize it's part of a lawyer's job to represent people or institutions, regardless of wether they're supposedly guilty or not, right? He's literally doing he's job. Poaching? He's offering a position to someone that he admires, and that he thinks (rightfully so) is not being treated the way they deserve. He later acts super professionally, and even very nicely towards Kim, in a moment when he could've been much tougher on her. Dude's professional, pleasant, and yes, nice. I don't know what to tell you, just... let's agree to disagree.

That being said, lawyers and firms do have discretion over who they choose to represent, and there definitely are “great guy”/“nice guy” lawyers who would refuse to represent a corporation that is exploiting seniors. Law firms also have to interact with other firms in their area on a regular basis. There are certain courtesies and social rules and expectations as a consequence of that. Hiring away another firm’s associate isn’t the worst breach of such rules, but that doesn’t mean that it will be forgotten or seen as a friendly act. And my sense of Rich is that he definitely expensed the lunch he had with Kim where he made the offer - he made sure that his partners shared the expense of trying to get Kim to join them. However much Rich is putting forward a friendly face, I don’t mistake that for him acting solely out of friendship and genuine concern for Kim’s well being. It’s much more transactional than that, and I see Rich as almost always scheming and calculating his own interest even when he is smiling and convivial.
Just like Walter, what Mike does he does for his family. I also like parallels with the lunch scene. Rich Schweikart invited Kim out to a lunch at Forque, while at HHM she was being kept there just to order in.

To reach your full potential you have to go against the grain and it might seem reckless or silly to some but it's your calling none the less
lowkey one of my favorite moments in the series is when they show mike's hands shaking after he takes out hector's goons. he's always portrayed as this unstoppable badass terminator, but even for a guy like him, having people out to murder him will take its toll
also regarding money, like kanye said "money's not everything, not having it is"
Quit hating on the daughter in law. Mike loves them both and wants to help. Anything that makes life easier for a single mom is appreciated and she really appreciates everything he does for them. SHE'S NOT USING HIM!!
As a widowed mom of two young kids, his attitude is really annoying.
As always BCS and BB can help themselves and feel the need to tell reactors how to react to shows. I've seen so many reactors that get fed up with how annoying and toxic people are in the comments to the point that they quit watching the show. If you don't enjoy his interpretation of the show then simply don't watch, don't ruin his experience and don't ruin the experience for those who enjoy reactors, you know, reacting instead of just saying whatever you want them to say

Look at you! Besides saying the show's title, you only mentioned Jimmy as Saul twice. People who are really into BCS will do that by the second season.
It's a romantic notion to think money isn't that important. Easy to have such notions in youth. It gets harder with age. Many problems can be solved with money. I wish I'd had more knowledge/appreciation of this when I had time to make different decisions. Just some hindsight from a old! 👵
