Remember that Mike ends up killing one of the twins in the hospital? Good times
I always forget its him who does it lol WILD
Peo Fr It’s Breaking Bad which they’ve already seen.
@@peo4989 how exactly is this a spoiler?
@@peo4989 What the eff? Seriously?
@@peo4989 Your comment is the one that should be removed and you should do it yourself because you are making yourself sound like an idiot.
Coffee mug/car has always been a metaphor for Jimmy not fitting into the Davis and Main job.... Ending of this episode is him deciding he will force himself to fit
“I mean... we know he’s ok, but still!”
You just summed up why this show is SO good.
I actually like Howard. I didn't like him at first because I thought he was a complete asshole, but now I think he is a good person. He is stiff because he has to (being a senior partner of a prestigious law firm). He is trying to do what's best for the firm while doing the right thing. He doesn't dislike Jimmy or Kim. I think he actually likes them, but he can't let him or her ruin the reputation of the firm.
Oslaf Oirausu Ebutuoy same. But I also had preconceived ideas about him from previous stuff he’s done😆
Howard also has Chuck holding the firm hostage with the threat of taking away his shares, which would tank them.
Every decision Howard makes is for what he perceives as what is best for the firm. You can respect him on that level. He's also caught in a situation with extremely complication family relationships
Howard is still a bit of a douche, just by virtue of who he was born. He's the SECOND of those 2 H's in HHM by virtue of being the son of the first. He lets himself get bullied by Chuck because he was best friends with his dad.
By season 4 Howard's become my favorite character.
Kim deserves more credit than you are giving her. She can take care of herself.
Yup, she has a big heart for Jimmy but an even bigger brain. She can't be fooled that easily
That feeling when you remember Mike kills one of the twins when they threaten his granddaughter 😏
Omg how did I never see this? Mike is the true MVP
The true mvp there was Hank.. taking care of the twins without his gun .. Mike just finished him ..of course he is a badass too but you know what I mean
Wait what??? Didn't Hank kill both?? One in the parking lot and the other died in the hospital after Hank fked him up with the car
Tricko no the one in the hospital survives, remember he has that moment crawling toward Walt with both legs amputated, so Gus sends Mike to kill him.
I seriously never thought about this. Thank you for pointing it out
There is a actually 4 sides to this story.. Jimmy, Chuck, the father and the Truth!!
And Chuck's version is missing eyewitness info. Only Jimmy *really* knows, since his dad was none the wiser.
Truth?... Truth is relative. As Obi-Wan said, "It's ALL true... From a certain point of view."
You can see the effect Jimmy has on Kim. She becomes Slippin' Kimmy the more she is around him. Also, yes Mike is the ultimate badass. And how cool is it to see Hector and the twins? Not to mention Nacho and Chuck who are critical to the show as well. BCS is the truth! 👣🍻💵🏀
I was shocked when I first saw the twins as well, theyre much scarier in this show because we know they live till Breaking Bad 👣🍻💵🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
I love Dave Porter's theme too. The moment it started up, before you saw their faces, you knew what was coming. :)
"Fucking Salamankas"
@@ivancantemirov9727 😂😂😂
The check from the chump at the bar was made out to Ice Station Zebra Associates, the same thing Saul uses for laundering money in Breaking Bad. Also one of Kim's favorite movies 👀
Yes, thank you
"you took that job because of me" At this moment I was happy Kim recognized her mistake and it wasn't really fair to blame everything on Jimmy. I love her so much
I just got back from Albuquerque and got to see alot of things in person from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I even ate in the same diner that Mike eats at all the time. And got to see Chucks house too. :)
That long shot of Howard being totally stoic and then putting the smile on at the last second is one of my favorites in the show.
The coffee holder scene is a metaphor. For Jimmy, the end result is more important than consequences of actions taken to achieve that result. It’s also a comment on his lack of judgment regarding impulse control.
I would think about it this way. If Schwicarkt and Cokely think she's so good that they want her off the case, wouldn't that also be a person you would want to hire long term?
Jimmy does not fit in . just like how that coffee mug did not fit in the cup holder of his new car. you said this just as I typed this
. lol
@HopeToTheWEAK you are correct also. could mean many things.
The acting in this is so subtle in the best way. The characters never shout or anything like that but you still get so much from the performances.
The green dress girl he kissed was who walter saw before he passed out and then found out he had cancer..its the beginning of her Downfall
Wow. I never noticed that.
It's so funny/shitty that for as smart and badass as Mike is, he ends up getting killed by someone who just couldn't fucking get over himself. For literally nothing.
As much as I love Mike I thought it was fitting he died in the way he did. As much as the show tries to make us love him as a character he’s just as evil as someone like Gus, Walter and the salamancas
@@DCshandle IN WHAT WORLD IS HE AS EVIL AS WALT OR GUS OR THE SALAMANCAS. Walt rapes Skyler in the first season, he kills so many people purely because of his ego and pride, Gus poisons the whole party in Mexico and massacres them (granted, they aren't great people but still) the Salamancas run a drug cartel, and Mike is a grandpa who needs money to help his daughter in law and granddaughter. He's not a great person but he's not even close to the same category as them.
"Should she be having lunch with him, isn't this conflict of interest?"
no, as long as they don't discuss the case, there's no conflict of interest.
Lol saved by how loud Billy Mays’ pitches are.
When Mike speaks with Hector in the ice cream shop who is with Nacho, Marco and Leonel, the fifth guy who is with them is Arturo Colon.
You know where Jimmy ends up, but you don't know what happens with Nacho and Kim and Chuck :>
"Se los dije. Tiene unos huevotes..." XD
Member when Steven said he wanted a Skyler court room drama show? 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol I member
24:57 He's far from a "good dude" he's broken and mostly heartless, but he's a correct, straight guy, the hand-shake-seals-a-deal kind of guy
Jimmy, Kim and Mike are like the cup and the law firm & Cartel are like the cup holder. It is hard to keep your principles to make things that right for them so they have to make hard decisions and alterations to make it fit the cup holder. Nice episode and great reaction guys
I think the scene about the cup not fitting in the car holder means Jimmy is not suitable for this job. And scene after that, when he choose to "repair it" means "OK, I DONT LIKE THIS JOB BUT I TRY TO SURVIVE IT."
Kim asks herself “Do I deserve to be treated this way”
Jimmy asks himself “Do I deserve this opportunity”
Both rely on each other for answer, Kim sees the freedom Jimmy has when he cons, the free spirit attitude of him floating by the pool. Jimmy puts up with the straight life but once he gets Kim’s love and acceptance for him cutting corners, he feels more comfortable
A few episodes back the board at Davis & Main told Jimmy that the commercial's success didn't matter because they have many more cases to worry about other than his case and they had to worry about their reputation. The same goes for Schweikart & Cokely. They want to win that case but they have a reputation to also think about so taking Kim solely to get information out of her would be a terrible decision for them, not just because of the ethical issues that would definitely come back to bite them, but also because at this point Kim would not be a good target for that. She's in doc review, working on the menial parts of the case and probably a few other cases at HHM. There are two separate firms working on the Sandpiper case so taking Kim away from it would do nothing for S&K.
I remember going "Aw, no, not the twins!" when they were standing on the roof. Remembering that Mike killed one of them in the hospital, it makes you wonder if he was thinking about when they were on the roof, miming a gun at Kaylee.
You guys need to watch "The Boys" someday! Its amazing
Yes, add my vote to "The Boys"
I've just finished the fifth season of Better Call Saul, and love watching you two react to these. Mike is definitely one of my favorite characters from this series.
👣🍻💸🏀🏀(que huevotes)
It's not just that the cupholder didn't "work" and it's not simply a contrast between his old life and new life. It's that the new sleek cupholder doesn't fit the cup that Kim gave to him as a gift (as opposed to his old car where the Kim gift fit like a glove... or a perfectly-sized cupholder).
"Not my Jimmy" is what their father told Chuck. It wasn't his business dying, but hearing those words that killed him.
Yah!! More BCS is great news... Thanx for all the hard work you two put in for us!
That was a Bengali song at the end of this episode, if someone is wondering.
Just to clear up; Jimmy didnt steal all that money at once from his dads shop, he stole small amounts every now and then (like a 20$ bill every now and then), and those small amounts over the years added up to the large sum that Chuck mentioned.
I want to comment but jimmy explains this on the show.
Seeing how McGill Sr. ran the business, I can't even fault Jimmy. Take what you can in the moment before your old man runs shit into the ground and your life's work dissappears.
How the cup doesn't fit in the cup holder is brilliant. Jimmy doesn't fit in the straight and narrow life. He even said to Kim he's not good a building stuff but great at destroying. I like him but he's toxic.
Nathan Wayde That's a great observation
".... It's kinda tough. Things are tight..." Yup everyone understands. "Tight .... Tight. Tight. Tight!" ;) Have a blessed day =)
I'm reacting to this show right now and it's just SO good. When the cousins showed up...OMG. Such an "oh shiz" moment.
I finally get why Mike would be the one that called Hank and warned him when the twins were coming for him in BB.
Gus was the only one who knew they were coming for Hank, not even Mike knew.
@@jmwild1 Mike might have known. Given Mike's meticulousness, I could see Mike having a constant tail on the twins ever since they showed up at Walt's house.
@@GMontag Sure Mike could have been tailing them but I highly doubt he knew who *they* were tailing at that time. They did a very good job keeping to themselves. He wasn't tailing them from the arms dealer who sold the vests, or if he did he was doing it from many miles away. Only Gus knew who their target was. Gus wanted the shootout, so he wouldn't have wanted Mike in the vicinity to screw that up.
It should've been the other twin that pointed the gun on Kaylee cause Mike ends up killing him in the hospital.
26:05
Yeah but a company car is usually a rental.
I didn’t see any need for the skepticism when the guy was offering Kim a position. He stated she was in court, alone, arguing a losing position. He didn’t need her off the case. We’re probably all condition to be skeptical of good things in the Breaking Bad universe though so I can see how you thought that way.
you guys are great!!! glad to hear more Saul during the week soon
👣🍻💵🏀 Love how much Mike we get on this show and all the cool stuff he gets to do in the non-law firm plots
[SEASON 5 BREAKING BAD SPOILER]
Hector: "He'd die with that mouth"
Yet do we know.. Mike does die with that mouth in 5x07..
I love y'all's reactions & discussions afterward. Really looking forward to additional episodes, but then you will have to wait a week between like the rest of us (assuming they ever give us new episodes!!!! )
Mike is one of my favorite characters of all time. So complex. This and Breaking Bad comprise my favorite tv shows. Incredibly well-written, -directed, -acted and -filmed. Just perfect television.
I sooooo empathize with both Jimmy and Kim. My first job out of law school was with a mid-sized firm in a gorgeous 21st floor downtown office, and I was doing depositions with Bank of America and overseeing collections from local companies. It was soul crushing stuff. I was laid off when the firm downsized. I went on to join the small firm of a fellow graduate and we just did small criminal, family and civil cases. We had a small office suite in a Vietnamese strip mall. My tiny office had no window. I did lot of criminal and child protective cases. It was much more satisfying, while it lasted, but the partnership went sour. Then I went to work for the state, another downtown office, view of the lake, but, again, more soul-crushing, ulcer-inducing stuff. I now have a home office and am my own boss. So much poorer, but so much happier and healthier.
19:44 That face, the actor of Mike is one of the best.
You guys better start doing more than one BCS reaction per week 😤
Honestly, Chuck saying it was Jimmy's fault that their father's book had thousands of dollars missing is a fabricated opinion. Chuck has no proof that Jimmy took all that money, in fact Jimmy told Marco in a later episode (in confidence) that the people of the town of Cicero and drifters were constantly ripping his father's store off. This is also confirmed in the flashback when Jimmy was a kid working in his father's store.
Yep. The truth is somewhere in between.
Chuck sees a bunch of money missing and blames Jimmy. Jimmy sees his father giving away a ton of money. How much of it was taken by Jimmy and how much was given away grifters is anyone's guess.
Saul doesn’t want a boss, he has a problem with authority lol.
You don’t offer “partner track” to just anybody or to win one case. No matter how big
How do you know?
They do, actually.
Mike is the best grandpa ever
The cousins showing up is very exhilarating! But so pissed at them for making that hand gesture at his granddaughter, they are messing with the wrong Grandps!
YESSSS!!! 2 episodes a week. I'm super excited. BCS is my favorite ongoing series right now and I really enjoy reliving the magic of watching it for the first time with you guys.
They’re doing 2 episodes a week??
In Legal Trouble?
BETTER CALL SAUL! ⚖️💵
DAT CAMEO THO hey guys lol :)
👣🍻💵 🏀- law firms pick off and recruit talent from other firms all the time. While it would look very bad on her current firm and wouldn’t exactly help her reputation (which counts for a lot in legal circles) if she did join the other firm, they would put up whats called an “ethical wall” around Kim. That means that she cannot talk to anyone on the case and no one could seek her out for any information or advice on the case. Some firms would even make sure she cant receive any emails regarding the case.
That firm might also have to get a conflict waiver from their client if Kim joins them. Thats a risk for the firm, if the client doesnt like it they cam fire the firm from representing them or or if the client doesn’t sign the waiver, the firm may have to pass the case to a different firm.
I believe I’ve been in that restaurant where Kim is meeting with Schweikart before, it’s like in the Hyatt Regency in Downtown if you guys have that on the list of places to see from this show. I think I saw them filming up the final season not too long ago, actually but couldn’t tell what was going on.
Hope to see you two maybe react to a series I am trying to crear in the future! ;)
BEER! I could do with one of those, especially during this time of quarantine.
Rich Schweikart is the name of the opposing lawyer trying to hire Kim. Schweikart & Cokely (S&C) is their law firm.⚽️🏐💵
What up cousins! Missed them so much.
I see that you enjoy your Better Call Saul jouney very well.
Ah, Giselle and Victor make their appearance.
Enjoy your BCS reactions. In my opinion Breaking Bad is one of the best 3/4 shows ever made. Better Call Saul is just as good. A somewhat different "style" but just as good. Glad you guys are getting it. You can look forward to some great twists and turns coming up!
Mike is like an Older Bruce Wayne. Period
Just a little logic... if Chuck seems above doing something illegal, it doesn't mean he is also above doing something underhanded. Dishonest. To anyone.
Kim owes HHM the cost of her tuition, nothing more
OMG Hamlins stone cold face!!! This show has some great scenes where pretty much nothing happens
"Square peg in a round hole..." Is that him? Oh boy, is Nikki in for a surprise with that line.
🍻💸🏀👣🏀💸🍻
Awesome as usual.
🍻💸🏀👣🏀💸🍻
You are going to have your questions answered as to that backstory of theft and their dad's store and I want to see your reactions that. I wonder if what you are saying now will change or stay the same.
I was trying to figure out how to mention this without spoiling. Nicely done
oh I just realized something, its Tuco's gun the one that walt uses to kill mike? its looks a lot like the one in mikes bugout bag in his last episode, they might just both be revolvers and is been a while since i've seen either show but that kinda clicked in my mind when I saw nikki and stevens reaction to mike being beaten by tuco, and then mike taking this deal, like I said its been a while but that'd be kinda interesting.
@@peo4989 im sorry if I spoiled breaking bad for you but I figured it'd be fine talking about it on a better call saul video, you should watch breaking bad, its great.
@@CraigKostelecky It could very well be the same prop..... but not meant to be the same gun.
Tuco's gun is definitely not the gun that Walt killed Mike with. Tuco's gun was a Taurus Raging Judge which has a distinctly long cylinder so it can use .410 shotgun shells. The gun Walt used had a much shorter cylinder like a .38 or .357 and a longer barrel.
“Huevos” translates to eggs in Spanish...
just my thought.. but when Mike turns t.v. on.. and the guy is talking about chopping celery.. I think that's the sound they used when he hits them in the head with the gym.
Mike's awesome.
How does Mike walk around at his age with balls that big
It would be very cool if you guys did the new Dark Crystal series! Please! Please! Please!
Love the reactions. But you guys worry to much about unnecessary stuff. Just let things play themselves out. Lol
Mike took a no win job: he shoots Tuco, then Hector Inc. tortures Nacho until he points the finger at his hitman, Mike takes the beating as a 'citizen', Hector comes right at him...he shoulda turned the job down..BIG MISTAKE..he doesn't want Salamancas 'descending like flies' and cartel troubles for NACHO??? LOL

is this show worth watching ? it's the only nikki and steven reaction that i dont watch since i never started it .i'd love to have a new serie to latch on to
@Drake Lang that's what afraid of .for me the pace f a show is very important i get bored very easily :(
I started watching it with them and yeah it’s a little slow rn for me but their reactions n commentary make it better
This was the part of the series where the stories of the side characters (Kim and Mike) started to eclipse and get more interesting than the story of the main character (Jimmy). To be fair Kim and Mike are such great characters.
Matt Ruller especially mike in the next few episodes. THATS when the show started to feel amazing!

It's not related to this, but please do reaction to "the choice" by zurick 23m.
PLEASE PLEASE
Agreed.
"Mike's a good dude." Dunno bout that one.
@Drake Lang Anyone who kills people for a profession is an awful human being and a borderline psychopath. He was prepared to kill Walt when he worked for Gus, who at that point he thought was just some old washed up teacher with a few months left to live trying to provide for his family. SPOILERS for BCS
Also remember Werner? Yeah, Mike clearly was upset at the idea of killing him but he still did it. Werner was a genuine good person who just happened to be a bit naive. Anyone who is able to murder like that is a shitty human.
@Drake Lang Jesse and Mike can't be compared. Jesse has never killed unless his life depended on it or in an act of love for someone else. Mike has decided to murder people for a living. Are you seriously telling me a good human being could do what he's done? He was going to murder Lydia in her house with her kids in the house leaving them parentless. He is a cold blooded killer with a heart. That's by no means makes him a good person. He has no moral code when it comes to his job. You need dying? He's gonna kill you. Doesn't mater if you are an evil psychopath, an elderly man with kind heart or a woman with a little baby depending on her, he will kill you. There's no single argument for Mike being anything other than a bad person.
@Supanjibobu Agreed.
@Drake Lang Lydia is not a woman with a little baby? She's a dirty weasel but still a mother begging for her life with her daughter there. The fact that anyone could argue against Mike being a cold blooded, bad person is mind boggling. Yeah he's badass and some of his morals such as standing up for yourself and helping your family can be respected, but at the end of the day there's no denying the ruthless evil he has done. This is not a good human being here.
@Drake Lang He has far more bad than good. He's a scumbag cutthroat but always a caring father and grandfather. He has a capability for goodness as did Gus and Walt at one point most likely. But all three of them turned into awful people, all be it from an attempt to better their family. These are men who once could be considered good men but are without a doubt now truly lost and awful people. They're all complexed, all three of them but it doesn't really matter how complexed you are at that point, the deed is done. You have murdered countless people, torn families and more. At what point does the motives behind someone's actions get thrown out the window? I would suggest the second they stop caring about affecting other people and start acting solely for their own greed (to help family or not, doesn't matter) is when they become a bad person and are too far gone from being simply a good guy doing bad things. In BCS, Saul is a good guy doing bad things. A morally grey character who is a shady scoundrel, quite greedy but not too far gone. He isn't damaging the lives of others. In Breaking Bad that's a different story. The idea of murdering someone doesn't faze him at all, and we see that he is no longer a good person.
any one her want nikki & steven to react to some anime like one punch man or attack on titans
50.000$ Anna Gun is yours!

One thing I never noticed was that Davis and main made their own commercial despite how much they resented jimmys commercial, and punished Kim Wexler over it. They just stole his idea and made a basic ad with no heart or soul. All the collateral damage from just one commercial was all for nothing now that there’s one where that’s approved by their standards.
Story keeps getting ramped up every episode. I love it 👣🍻💵⚽️🏀⚾️🥎🎾🏐🎱
